Inverter topologies for integrating a rooftop photovoltaic (PV) unit into a microgrid are becoming increasingly complex. This paper proposes a high-voltage boosting transformerless inverter (HVBTI) topology for enhancing such applications. The coupled inductor-based high voltage gain feature of the HVBTI configuration allows power to be delivered into the grid from a lower voltage PV source without using higher duties. In addition, HVBTI suppresses leakage current as the common connection shared between the $-ve$ terminal of the PV source and the grid neutral point. In comparison to existing topologies, the HVBTI topology uses a compact pulse width modulation strategy to control only six controllable switching devices. Again, using lower-rated switching devices is more cost-effective while increasing reliability and efficiency. In a laboratory prototype of a 1 kVA grid integrated system, the proposed HVBTI configuration is validated, and the maximum efficiency of the HVBTI is estimated at approximately 95%. Author

In this paper, a novel wideband reflection type phase shifter (RTPS) is developed for the first time using commercial BST capacitor on PCB technology. BST has a particular advantage of decoupling RF signal and DC biasing voltage which enables tuning of its ferroelectric permittivity without any DC blocking capacitor. The proposed phase shifter provides a phase shift of 103° at 2.5GHz and a phase shift of 150° at 3GHz, with an insertion loss of <1dB in the frequency range of 1GHz-3GHz. The phase shift is nearly constant from 2.5GHz to 3GHz for bias voltages between 4V and 20V. With increase in DC bias voltages from 4V to 20V, the phase shift increases from 35° to 110° in the frequency range of 2.5GHz-3GHz due to the non-linear variation of capacitance with voltage for the BST capacitor.

This work presents an adaptive tracking guidance method for robotic fishes. The scheme enables robots to suppress external interference and eliminate motion jitter. An adaptive integral surge line-of-sight guidance rule is designed to eliminate dynamics interference and sideslip issues. Limited-time yaw and surge speed observers are reported to fit disturbance variables in the model. The approximation values can compensate for the system's control input and improve the robots' tracking ***, this work develops a terminal sliding mode controller and third-order differential processor to determine the rotational torque and reduce the robots' run jitter. Then, Lyapunov's theory proves the uniform ultimate boundedness of the proposed method. Simulation and physical experiments confirm that the technology improves the tracking error convergence speed and stability of robotic fishes.
