This paper is concerned with the practical application control of a pneumatically actuated Stewart-Gough platform with 6-degrees of freedom (6-DOF). The control approach for motion control of the platform is presented using a modern control technique, namely, linear quadratic Gaussinn (LQG) with reference tracking. The LQG controller is the combination of a Kalman filter, i.e., a linear-quadratic estimator (LQE) with a linear-quadratic regulator (LQR). The robustness of the control scheme is accessed under various load conditions, and the experimental results are shown.

Recently, different countries have made rapid developments in the field of near space hypersonic vehicles. Among which successful hypersonic vehicle flight tests of X-51 A and HTV-2 are representative. They often adopt the way of nonballistic maneuver flight with characteristics of high speed and lift-to-drag ratio, flying in atmosphere for a long time. Their motion trajectory is sometimes characterized by "hopping", which induces difficulties of nonballistic target acceleration estimation, trajectory tracking and prediction. This paper introduces four typical nonballistic maneuver models of near space targets, and then introduces target ballistic equation and design of tracking filter. At last, four tracking filters are used to estimate target acceleration. Simulation results show that particle filter algorithm is the best one to guarantee the target tracking accuracy within allowable ranges.

In the paper, a neurodynamic-based energy efficiency optimization strategy(NEE-OS) is proposed to decrease the energy expenditure of robotic manipulators. Different from the traditional approaches, the proposed NEE-OS integrates several necessary constrains from the environment and the robotic manipulator, which could affect energy consumptions of the robotic manipulator in engineering applications to a large extent. To handle the constraints formulated as equalities and inequalities, the energy efficiency optimization problem is converted into a constrained quadratic programming(QP) problem, which is solved using a linear variable inequality-based primal-dual neural network(PDNN) efficiently.

This paper studies a novel distributed optimization problem that aims to minimize the sum of the non-convex objective functionals of the multi-agent network under privacy protection, which means that the local objective of each agent is unknown to others. The above problem involves complexity simultaneously in the time and space aspects. Yet existing works about distributed optimization mainly consider privacy protection in the space aspect where the decision variable is a vector with finite dimensions. In contrast, when the time aspect is considered in this paper, the decision variable is a continuous function concerning time. Hence, the minimization of the overall functional belongs to the calculus of variations. Traditional works usually aim to seek the optimal decision function. Due to privacy protection and non-convexity, the Euler-Lagrange equation of the proposed problem is a complicated partial differential ***, we seek the optimal decision derivative function rather than the decision function. This manner can be regarded as seeking the control input for an optimal control problem, for which we propose a centralized reinforcement learning(RL) framework. In the space aspect, we further present a distributed reinforcement learning framework to deal with the impact of privacy protection. Finally, rigorous theoretical analysis and simulation validate the effectiveness of our framework.

This work mainly focuses on designing and modeling of 18-pulse autotransformer rectifier unit. The dq rotating reference frame(Park’s Transformation) is used to design the average model. Polynomial fits are required to build up from essential parameters like α, kv and ki that must be extracted from switching model or actual setup. The designed model is computationally efficient, time invariant and has the key advantage of reduced simulation time, less convergence errors and having no numerical instabilities. The designed average model provides a much more accurate representation of the system dynamics both in frequency as well as in time domain. For this purpose, 18-pulse delta type autotransformer rectifier unit(ATRU) is modeled and analyzed for small signal behavior in order to realize the overall system stability. Finally average model is validated with hardware setup of 2 k VA prototype and its results are found to be closely matching with those of switching and average model proving the accuracy and reliability of the proposed model. Hence using these average models can greatly reduce the time consumption by avoiding mathematical instabilities while maintaining efficiency up to the mark on the other side.

Inter-femtocell interference becomes serious when femtocells are densely deployed. To mitigate the inter-femtocell interference, this paper proposes a cluster-based bandwidth allocation algorithm. We create femtocell clusters by constructing a weighted interference graph and allocate bandwidth to each cluster based on a Nash bargaining solution(NBS). Simulation results show that the cluster-based bandwidth allocation algorithm can reduce the inter-femtocell interference and meet the minimum rate constraint of each cluster.

Low energy consumption and limited power supply are significant factors for wireless sensor networks(WSNs); thus, distributed state estimation and data fusion with quantized innovation are explored. The universal features of practical WSNs are investigated, and a dynamic transmission strategy is introduced. Furthermore,quantization state estimation based on Bayesian theory is derived. Unlike previous algorithms suitable for processing scalar measurement, the proposed distributed data fusion algorithm is applicable to general vector measurement. Furthermore, the efficiency of the proposed dynamic transmission strategy is analyzed. It is concluded that the proposed algorithm is more efficient than previous methods, and its estimation accuracy comparable to that of the standard Kalman filtering, which is based on analog-amplitude vector measurement.
