Secure Dynamic State Estimation by Decomposing Kalman Filter

We consider the problem of estimating the state of a linear time-invariant Gaussian system in the presence of sparse integrity attacks. The attacker can control p out of m sensors and arbitrarily change the measurements. Under mild assumptions, we can decompose the optimal Kalman estimate as a weighted sum of local state estimates, each of which is derived using only the measurements from a single sensor. Furthermore, we propose a convex optimization based approach, instead of the weighted sum approach, to combine the local estimate into a more secure state estimate. It is shown that our proposed estimator coincides with the Kalman estimator with certain probability when all sensors are benign, and we provide a sufficient condition under which the estimator is stable against the (p, m)-sparse attack when p sensors are compromised. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the performance of the proposed state estimation scheme. © 2017

On the basis of increasing the transmission distance of the 1553B bus, in order to maintain the simplicity and stability of the bus and improve its anti-jamming ability, the 1553B signal relay circuit based on FPGA is designed in this paper. The signal transmission part is consists of the software and the hardware, and the chip of ZYNQ series is used in the FPGA. Firstly, the transmitted signal oscillation is transformed into a group of positive and negative differential signals, which are realized by transformer (pmdb25). Secondly, the signal is sent to the main control chip of ZYNQ series through signal acquisition chip and level conversion chip. Finally, the data is processed by software program and forwarded to the receiver. The specific experiments have been done on the 1553B signal transmission platform, which significantly show that the proposed scheme is reasonable and reliable.

Similitude design plays a vital role in the analysis of vibration and shock problems encountered in large engineering equipment. Similitude design, including dimensional analysis and governing equation method, is founded on the dynamic similitude theory. This study reviews the application of similitude design methods in engineering practice and summarizes the major achieve- ments of the dynamic similitude theory in structural vibration and shock problems in different fields, including marine structures, civil engineering structures, and large power equipment. This study also reviews the dynamic similitude design methods for thin-walled and composite material plates and shells, including the most recent work published by the authors. Structure sensitivity analysis is used to evaluate the scaling factors to attain accurate distorted scaling laws. Finally, this study discusses the existing problems and the potential of the dynamic similitude theory for the analysis of vibration and shock problems of structures.

Hybrid plasmonic nanoemitters based on the combination of quantum dot emitters (QD) and plasmonic nanoantennas open up new perspectives in the control of light. However, precise positioning of any active medium at the nanoscale constitutes a challenge. Here, we report on the optimal overlap of antenna’s near-field and active medium whose spatial distribution is controlled via a plasmon-triggered 2-photon polymerization of a photosensitive formulation containing QDs. Au nanoparticles of various geometries are considered. The response of these hybrid nano-emitters is shown to be highly sensitive to the light polarization. Different light emission states are evidenced by photoluminescence measurements. These states correspond to polarization-sensitive nanoscale overlap between the exciting local field and the active medium distribution. The decrease of the QD concentration within the monomer formulation allows trapping of a single quantum dot in the vicinity of the Au particle. The latter objects show polarization-dependent switching in the single-photon regime. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In order to improve the performance of the current goods handling equipment for the airplane, a drilling rig is designed to meet with the complicated working conditions Meanwhile the drilling rig can be applied in the operation of gas drainage for the high holes underground coal mine According to the actual working conditions on the operation of gas drainage for medium or thick coal seam, the drilling rig for drilling high holes is designed based on the structure and working princfple of the current drilling rig, and the hydraulic power unit is arranged separately, and 2 two-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinders are controlled respectively to adjust the height of drilling hole and the dip angle of drilling hole. Furthermore the characteristics of the supporting speed is simulated and analyzed with AMESim, thus the results show that the drilling rig can satisfy the requirement of drilling high holes and goods handling equipment for the airplane. © 2018 IET Conference Publications. As everyone knows, birds of a feather flock together, which reveals the essence of clustering. Fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm (FCM) in many algorithms of clustering play a significant role in unsupervised learning. However, FCM still has the following three defects - unknown number of clusters, unstable process of clustering and discoveries of outliers. Aimed at these defects existed in the FCM, a kernel based fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm is proposed to optimize conventional FCM, based on simulated annealing algorithm which takes advantage of simulated annealing algorithm(SA) and kernel technology. The proposed algorithm can improve these shortcomings, but it is not ideal. Our explanation of the results is that the dataset IRIS is relatively simple and the proposed algorithm is an attempt to the original algorithm when realizing global optimization. Our suggestion is that if the dataset contains amount of duplicate data, please apply the proposed algorithm. Anyway, the proposed algorithm is an attempt when traditional ones can't find the global optimization, so it will spend more time.

In this paper, we study the semi-global output containment control problem of a multi-agent system in the presence of actuator saturation over a directed network. The leader and follower agents are of different dynamics, and the follower agents are affected by disturbances generated by the leader agents through directed paths in the communication topology. The control objective of the output containment control is to drive the output trajectories of the follower agents to converge to the convex hull spanned by the outputs of the leader agents in the presence of disturbances. Low gain feedback containment protocols are constructed based on the output regulation approach and distributed observers. It is shown that semi-global output containment control can be achieved by the proposed protocols, if each follower agent is connected to at least one leader agent through a directed path in the communication topology. Simulation results verify the theoretical conclusions.
