A novel networked data-fusion method is developed for the target tracking in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Specifically, this paper investigates data fusion scheme under the communication constraint between the fusion center and each sensor. Such a message constraint is motivated by the bandwidth limitation of the communication links, fusion center, and by the limited power budget of local sensors. In the proposed scheme, each sensor collects one noise-corrupted sample, performs a quantizing operation, and transmits quantized message to the fusion center. Then the fusion center combines the received quantized messages to produce a final estimate. The novel data-fusion method is based on the quantized measurement innovations and decentralized Kalman filtering (DKF) with feedback. For the proposed algorithm, the performance analysis of the estimation precision is provided. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

The on-line and dynamic estimation algorithm for Rician fading channels in GSM-R networks is proposed, which is an expansion of local mean power estimation of Rayleigh fading channels. The proper length of statistical interval and required number of averaging samples are determined which are adaptive to different propagation environments. It takes advantage of the sampling signals and Rician fading parameters of last estimation to reduce measurement overhead. The performance of this method was evaluated by measurement experiment along the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. When it is NLOS propagation, the required sampling intervals can be increased from 1.1λ in Lee's method to 3.7λ of the on-line and dynamic algorithm. And the sampling interval can be set up to 12λ although the length of statistical interval decreases when there is LOS signal, which can reduce the measurement overhead significantly. The algorithm can be applied in coverage assessment with lower measurement overhead, and in dynamic and adaptive allocation of wireless resource.

In wireless communication, jamming is a promising solution to provide improvement in secrecy rate, especially when security requirement is difficult to satisfy in realistic environment. Users could pay the friendly jammer for some interference to the eavesdropper and consequently improve the secrecy rate of their own, while the jammer wants to get maximum revenue within its capability. Thereby a Stackelberg game is introduced. Fairness also deserves particular attention, as unfair allocation of the limited resource deteriorates the performance of whole network. In this paper, we discuss a network with one jammer and several users, where they participate in the game and reach equilibrium ultimately. We utilize Kalai-Smorodinsky bargaining solution to guarantee fairness among users, making them balance their utility so as to make the best of the interference from the jammer. Moreover, we propose implementation of algorithm and demonstrate the performance.
