In this article, the observer-based H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control problem is studied for a class of singular perturbed systems with randomly switching nonlinearities. During the modeling process, a set of binary random sequences is introduced to describe the random behaviors of the nonlinear switching encountered in engineering practice. Considering the singular perturbation parameter (SPP), an observer-based H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ PID controller is constructed for the concerned singularly perturbed systems (SPSs), where the state information is estimated. To improve communication efficiency and reduce resource waste, a dynamic event-triggered mechanism is employed during the measurement transmission. Meanwhile, an SPP-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is utilized to derive conditions under which the closed-loop system is guaranteed to be stochastically stable with the desired H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ performance under a specified upper bound on the SPP. All the desired observer and controller gains are determined by solving a set of matrix inequalities. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the suggested PID control method are verified through a simulation example.

The thermodynamic characteristics of the front jack precision compensation and material selection are very important, the hydraulic oil viscosity is very sensitive to temperature change, the viscosity change will reduce the transfer efficiency and tr ansfer accuracy and other problems. An analyzing method for the internal thermodynamic characteristics of a single tension front jack based on the ANSYS finite element method is pres ented in this paper. The method of multi-field coupling is use d to analyze the thermodynamic characteristics of the front ja ck, the heat conduction model and the turbulence model are e stablished respectively for solid and fluid parts of the hydrauli c jack. According to the oil source temperature and environm ental temperature, the thermodynamic characteristics are simu lated and analyzed. The distribution law of temperature field and fluid field in the hydraulic cylinder are obtained when the jack works normally. Furthermore, the simulation results of the temperature distribution are compared with the experimental results, and the two trends are almost identical, which proves that the simulated method is correct to study the thermodyn amic characteristics of jacks. It provides a theoretical basis for precision compensation and structural improvement of the te nsion systems. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.

Achieving consensus via nearest neighbor rules is an important prerequisite for multi-agent networks to accomplish collective tasks. A common assumption in consensus setup is that each agent interacts with all its neighbors. This paper examines whether network functionality and performance can be maintained-and even enhanced-when agents interact only with a subset of their respective (available) neighbors. As shown in the paper, the answer to this inquiry is affirmative. In this direction, we show that by exploring the monotonicity property of the Laplacian eigenvectors, a neighbor selection rule with guaranteed performance enhancements, can be realized for consensus-type networks. For distributed implementation, a quantitative connection between entries of Laplacian eigenvectors and the "relative rate of change" in the state between neighboring agents is further established;this connection facilitates a distributed algorithm for each agent to identify "favorable" neighbors to interact with. Multi-agent networks with and without external influence are examined, as well as extensions to signed networks. This paper underscores the utility of Laplacian eigenvectors in the context of distributed neighbor selection, providing novel insights into distributed data-driven control of multi-agent systems. In the present paper authors discusses the problem of construct the discrete algorithms of nonlinear-periodic control system for one class of non-affine continuous plants which working in the priory uncertainty conditions. As methods to solve the posed in paper problem hyperstability criterion, Ldissipativity conditions and continuous models method are used. With the help of numerical experiments it is depicted the operating quality of the proposed hybrid nonlinear-periodic control system. The obtained results may be useful for construction the automated control system for dynamic plants which mathematical model contains non-linearity with respect to input signal. The paper results may be useful for construct the control systems for the class of non-affine dynamic plants with mathematical models are equivalent discussed plant's model.

Consideration was given to synthesis of an algorithms of the combined control system for one class of single-channel non- affine plants which operates in a priory uncertainty conditions. Generative Diffusion Models (GDMs) have emerged as a transformative force in the realm of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), demonstrating their versatility and efficacy across various applications. The ability to model complex data distributions and generate high-quality samples has made GDMs particularly effective in tasks such as image generation and reinforcement learning. Furthermore, their iterative nature, which involves a series of noise addition and denoising steps, is a powerful and unique approach to learning and generating data. This paper serves as a comprehensive tutorial on applying GDMs in network optimization tasks. We delve into the strengths of GDMs, emphasizing their wide applicability across various domains, such as vision, text, and audio generation. We detail how GDMs can be effectively harnessed to solve complex optimization problems inherent in networks. The paper first provides a basic background of GDMs and their applications in network optimization. This is followed by a series of case studies, showcasing the integration of GDMs with Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), incentive mechanism design, Semantic Communications (SemCom), Internet of Vehicles (IoV) networks, etc. These case studies underscore the practicality and efficacy of GDMs in real-world scenarios, offering insights into network design. In this study, following the concept of set-based design, after preparing global calculation results, we introduced the approach of setting the design solution area that satisfies the product performance goals of the system design. In this approach, from the viewpoint of considering uncertainty, we aimed to develop an analysis method that can get the organic relationship between target variables and design variables. And more, under the assumption that it is difficult to comprehend the full picture of products that are becoming more sophisticated and complex with the knowledge that has been fostered by skilled engineers, the proposed system uses the objective calculation indices that is provided knowledge of the designer. Specifically, the following method are proposed to solve the problem. - Implementation of meta-modeling of design space. - Classified solution space using a density-based clustering method to detect that the solution spaces are divided into multiple disconnected space. - Defined an index called distribution concentration and expressed the possibility of dealing with the uncertainty of the solution domain. - The network diagram based on the calculated index values was proposed to confirm the change in the characteristics of the solution space when the performance target of the product was changed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by applying it to actual simulation results. © 2020 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). All rights reserved.

Multi-energy systems which bring together different forms of energy, such as electricity, gas and heat, to coordinate in the process of supply, transmission and consumption provide much higher flexibility over traditional energy systems in energy utilization. This paper deals with the economic dispatch problem in multi-energy systems in a distributed manner. Each agent optimizes its local objective function with regard to local coupled limits and a global constraint via local communications only. A distributed algorithm is proposed based on duality analysis and splitting *** algorithm adopts a non-linear mapping method to linearize the nonlinearity arisen from coupling relationship among energy carriers. We show that the proposed algorithm converges at a nonergodic rate of O(1/k). Simulations are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Communication efficiency is a major bottleneck in the applications of distributed networks. To address the problem, the problem of quantized distributed optimization has attracted a lot of attention. However, most of the existing quantized distributed optimization algorithms can only converge sublinearly. To achieve linear convergence, this paper proposes a novel quantized distributed gradient tracking algorithm (Q-DGT) to minimize a finite sum of local objective functions over directed networks. Moreover, we explicitly derive lower bounds for the number of quantization levels, and prove that Q-DGT can converge linearly even when the exchanged variables are respectively quantized with 3 quantization levels. Numerical results also confirm the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper proposes a novel optimal gain design method for robust fault detection using set-valued observers. First, a new fault detection performance specification is proposed for set-valued observers based on a new notion named the excluding degree of the origin from a zonotope. Second, a fractional programming problem is formulated to describe fault detection optimality of set-valued observers. Third, optimal fault detection gains are obtained by solving the fractional programming problem. Finally, numerical examples are used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
