To address the challenge of achieving both high sensitivity and a high quality factor in quartz crystal microbalance(QCM)humidity sensors,a nanodiamond(ND)/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was *** material characteristics of ND,Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene,and ND/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene composite were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)*** experimental results demonstrated that the hydrophilic ND nanoparticles coated on Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene nanosheet prevented the self-stacking of Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene and enhanced the sensitivity of Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene-based QCM humidity ***,the high mechanical modulus of Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene material helped ND/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor to achieve a high quality factor(>20,000).ND/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene compositecoated QCM humidity sensor exhibited a sensitivity of 82.45 Hz/%RH,a humidity hysteresis of 1.1%RH,fast response/recovery times,acceptable repeatability,and good stability from 11.3%RH to 97.3%*** response mechanism of ND/Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was analyzed in combination with a bi-exponential kinetic adsorption ***,the potential application of ND/Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene composite-coated QCM humidity sensor was demonstrated through its frequency response to wooden blocks with different moisture contents.

Flexible assistance strategy of lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton based on admittance model

Exercise training based on exoskeleton is an effective rehabilitation method for stroke patients. However, some rehabilitation exoskeletons still have poor wearable performance and obvious human-robot impedance during training, which easily cause secondary injuries to the patients. In this study, a variable admittance control strategy is proposed to improve the operator's wearable comfort, which can adapt to different operators by regulating admittance parameters. The admittance controller has two feedback loops: the position inner-loop and the admittance outer-loop. Meanwhile, the exoskeleton Lagrange model is constructed with unknown friction disturbance. By using Lyapunov technique and backstepping with state observer, the joint position error of exoskeleton is convergence into a zero neighborhood. The effectiveness of the proposed admittance controller is verified by both simulation and experiment. The tracking error of hip and knee joint is less than 4 degrees while the human-robot interaction torque is constrained in a tolerable range of the operator.

In this study, power distribution of a grid-connected hybrid power plant consisting of a 3.125 MVA diesel generator (DG) and 2 MW photovoltaic solar panels (PV) has been controlled. By using hourly solar radiation and temperature values of a day recorded in 2020, the power produced by PV has been instantly estimated with artificial neural networks (ANN). The diesel generator has been controlled according to the estimated values to obtain the required power produced by the diesel generator. As a result, using the proposed coordinated control methods, the total maximum power generated by the power plant is kept constant while decreasing fuel consumption. © 2024 IEEE.

A QOE-AWARE STRATEGY FOR ENERGY SAVING IN A FOG-BASED ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING system

In the Fog-based Environmental Monitoring system (FEMS), the frequency at which Internet of Thing (IoT) devices upload monitoring data and the frequency at which users obtain monitoring data can highly affect energy consumption, data timeliness, and user quality of experience (QoE). How to reduce energy consumption while achieving high data timeliness and user QoE is not only important but also challenging. We propose a QoE-aware strategy to schedule the frequency at which users obtain monitoring data and the frequency at which IoT devices upload monitoring data. The QoE-aware strategy sets the changing tolerance (CT) of monitoring data according to the requirements of different applications in different environments. CT indicates the sensitivity of the application to the change of the environmental data. Only when the changing rate of monitoring data exceeds the CT value set, the IoT device uploads monitoring data to the fog server. Besides, to meet the requirements of reducing data traffic and achieving high data timeliness, users can set different values of QoE Index (QI), i.e., the achievement rate for timely access, according to different environmental requirements. With the QI value, the fog server can calculate the optimal time interval (i.e., access period, AP) for users to access monitoring data. Consequently, by setting the values of CT, QI, and AP according to the requirements of different applications in different environments, the QoE-aware strategy is able to achieve the lowest energy consumption and the highest data timeliness. © 2023, Chinese Institute of Electrical engineering. Optical networks-on-chips (ONoCs), which adopt optical waveguides, microring resonators (MRRs), and the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) scheme to transmit optical signals, serve as promising solutions for integrating multi- and many-core systems to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency, and low-power on-chip communication. To minimize the insertion loss of a wavelength-routed ONoC (WRONoC) during physical implementation, existing studies either adopt conventional standard cell placement techniques or maximally avoid waveguide crossings;however, all of them ignore the fact that the critical path suffering from the maximum insertion loss dominates the overall power efficiency and system performance. In this work, we propose CPONoC, a critical-path-aware physical implementation tool for WRONoCs. Different from existing studies, CPONoC focuses on minimizing the insertion loss of the critical path using an iterative crossing-aware force-directed method, and it is compatible with different representative logic schemes and input configurations. Compared to the state-of-the-art design automation tools, CPONoC achieves an average reduction of 9.6% in maximum insertion loss. © 2025 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s). The word 'Gestures' conjures images of persons who are deaf or hearing-impaired. The main reason is that their primary and only mode of communication is based on gestures. Only hearing-impaired people have an understanding of gestures in today's world. As a result, communicating with regular people has become a challenging chore for them. Consequently, there is a significant communication gap between normal people and those who are hard of hearing. All of this is taken into account, and the purpose of the research is to find a successful solution for hearing-impaired persons to communicate with one another. Here, a glove equipped with flex sensors was used to create a novel real-Time gesture detection system based on machine learning. The application of several algorithms, such as the Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Naive Bayes algorithms, might be recognized as a specialty to address this classification problem. The system has been able to achieve a more accurate and precise result by successfully displaying ten messages corresponding to the detected gesture on the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Additionally, this system has the ability to gradually expand the quantity of messages that are communicated by gestures based on the requirements of the users. Due to its wireless connectivity, ease of use, quick response time, and flexibility to meet the user's demands, this system is probably to become a more popular and beneficial communication aid among individuals with hearing loss in the future. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study,the passivity-based robust control and tracking for Hamiltonian systems with unknown perturbations by using the operator-based robust right coprime factorisation method is *** the system with unknown perturbations,a design scheme is proposed to guarantee the uncertain non-linear systems to be robustly stable while the equivalent non-linear systems is passive,meanwhile the asymptotic tracking property of the plant output is ***,the design scheme can be also used into the general Hamiltonian systems while the simulation is used to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

An Electric Vehicle(EV)is an appropriate substitution for traditional transportation means for diminishing greenhouse gas ***,decision-makers are beset by the limited driving range caused by the low battery capacity and the long recharging *** resolve the former issue,several transportation companies increases the travel distance of the EV by establishing recharging stations in various *** proposed Electric Vehicle-Routing Problem with Time Windows(E-VRPTW)and recharging stations are constructed in this context;it augments the VRPTW by reinforcing battery capacity ***,super-recharging stations are gradually emerging in the *** can decrease the recharging time for an EV but consume more energy than regular *** this paper,we first extend the E-VRPRTW by adding the elements of super-recharging *** then apply a two-stage heuristic algorithm driven by a dynamic programming process to solve the new proposed problem to minimize the travel and total recharging ***,we compare the experimental results of this approach with other algorithms on several sets of benchmark ***,we analyze the impact of super-recharging stations on the total cost of the logistic plan.

Medical image segmentation is a crucial first step in the development of healthcare and rehabilitation systems, particularly for the identification and planning of cardiovascular issues. In recent years, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have produced outstanding results on a number of medical image segmentation tasks. Particularly the U-shaped architecture, also known as U-Net, has been extremely successful and set the de facto standard. U-Net often demonstrates difficulties in clearly expressing long-range dependency, nevertheless, as a result of the innate locality of convolution operations. In this study, we propose a new neural network architecture, namely CPA-Unet for problems involving cardiac image segmentation. The CPA-Unet model, which employs cutting-edge Deep Learning methods, more successfully provides better extraction of features for the segmentation of desired segmented objects, whereas earlier models did not contribute much because they ignored the details of the channel, spatial, and contextualization on big datasets. Our experiments upon this Sunnybrook Cardiac dataset and the ACDC dataset show that CPA-Unet outperforms other modern models in terms of the Dice coefficient and IoU metric, highlighting it's own applicability for biomedical image segmentation solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

Automated analysis of microscopic pictures in computer-aided clinical support systems has difficulty iden- tifying cell nuclei inside nuclei. Models based on the U- Net network, its derivatives or transformers, and their combinations have been proposed to segment cell nuclei, with positive results. However, these techniques omitted a number of details vital to simulating the regional appearance of the cell nucleus or missing a high-level representation of features for location dependence during decoding. For overcoming these limitations, the CellFormer network has been recommended in this research. With CellFormer, an encoder-decoder architecture, both the encoder and the decoder branches may mimic a long-range knowledge of semantics. The encoder is a compact architecture built on transformers that describe global semantic linkages at different data levels. An AAMC module that we suggested along with the design to learn advanced features to enhance the feature representation is used by the decoder, which is an extended network topology, to convey data from the decoder. In order to improve the boundaries of nuclear items on the global map for precise segmentation, an MSFB block with a novel bypass connection mechanism has been introduced. Through cell segmentation datasets such as GlaS and Data Science Bowl 2018, we assess the performance of this suggested architecture. The findings were far better than we had anticipated in the area of biomedical image segmentation. © 2023 IEEE.
