Algorithmic trading has emerged as a powerful tool for making data-driven trading decisions in financial markets. In this paper, we present an innovative algorithmic trading model for stock price forecasting that integrates forest-based machine learning algorithms with the Golden Ratio strategy. Our proposed approach aims to leverage the predictive power of machine learning while incorporating insights from technical analysis to enhance trading performance and profitability. The methodology involves data collection and preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, and performance evaluation. Historical stock price data, financial indicators, and sentiment analysis data are gathered and pre-processed to ensure data quality. Feature engineering techniques are applied to extract relevant features, and forest-based machine learning algorithms are trained on the data to forecast stock prices. The Golden Ratio strategy is integrated into the trading model to identify the entry point and exit point. Empirical validation and performance evaluation demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approach. Through back testing and simulation-based testing, we evaluate the model's accuracy, profitability, and risk-adjusted returns. Our findings contribute to the advancement of algorithmic trading research and practice, offering insights into the potential benefits of combining machine learning algorithms with established trading strategies. The proposed hybrid model incorporates Golden Ratio Strategy, integrating Random Forest (RF). The results of the proposed random forest with Golden Ratio Strategy are compared with the results of individual model. This comparison helps in proving the efficiency of the proposed model. © 2024 IEEE.

Inner speech recognition is a modern advancement in Brain computer interfaces (BCI) that facilitates a communication between the computer and the brain in a direct way. It is particularly beneficial for individuals who face communication issues due to speech disability. In this research, an end-to-end brain-computer interface system was developed that uses Electroencephalography (EEG) signals to recognize inner speech straight from the brain. The study utilized an open-access dataset presented on four Spanish words from ten participants. The proposed system involved preprocessing to clean and enhance the signal. Common Spatial Pattern (CSP) was utilized to extract features to improve the discrimination between the selected four words. A Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) deep learning model was used to enhance the inner speech recognition performance from spatial features. The result shows that the model can decode the inner speech with an average accuracy of 81.40% for the un-seeing dataset and 89.80% for the entire dataset, indicating that the proposed method outperforms previous works that used the same dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

In this article, the power control and interference pricing problems between the macro base station (MBS) and small cell base stations (SBSs) in Heterogeneous networks (HetNets) are investigated. To optimally allocate power resources and effectively manage the power resources to reduce interference in HetNets, an innovative Stackelberg differential game approach is proposed. In the proposed Stackelberg game, the SBSs control their transmit power to achieve cost minimization based on the interference price offered by the MBS. Given the optimal power control strategies of SBSs, the MBS can adjust the interference price to realize the objective optimization. Renewable energy sources are introduced into the proposed HetNets, and differential equations formulate the SBSs' dynamic energy. Meanwhile, the MBS's state is given by the dynamic spectrum resources. Then the differential game is imported to achieve optimal power control and interference pricing. The open-loop Nash equilibrium solutions are first analyzed for the MBS and SBSs. Then the feedback Nash equilibrium solutions are given. Under the feedback pattern, the proposed model's performances in the non-cooperative and cooperative situations are discussed. Numerical simulations are given to show the convergence and effectiveness of the proposed game approach. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

In this paper, we designed and implemented an FPGA-based image system for satellite applications. The FPGA utilizes LVDS receivers to capture data up to eight 180MHz channels. The captured image data will be adjusted by the ADC offset compensator immediately, and after this adjustment, the histogram of each color channel will be booked. The summation of all pixels and the summation of pixels of four-color channels are calculated separately. Then, the control system decides whether the calculation of de-bayer, histogram equalization, and automatic white balance is needed. © 2022 IEEE.

Smart Grids (SG) rely on Home Area Networks (HAN) and Neighborhood Area Networks (NAN) to ensure efficient power distribution, real-time monitoring, and seamless communication between smart devices. Despite these advantages, the use of public communication channels in HAN and NAN networks introduces critical challenges, such as vulnerability to impersonation, physical tampering, and scalability issues in resource-constrained environments. These issues compromise the stability, reliability, and security of SG environments. Existing protocols often fail to adequately address these challenges, particularly in ensuring resistance to physical tampering of supply lines and impersonation attacks. Additionally, they struggle to minimize the computation, communication, and energy costs associated with securing a resource-constrained SG environment. Therefore, we propose a robust key exchange and tamper-resistant protocol for HAN and NAN networks to address these limitations. The proposed protocol leverages the Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) mechanism to offer physical tampering resistance to smart meters. We validate our protocol formally using the Random or Real (RoR) model, which confirms its security robustness. Additionally, our informal security analysis highlights the protocol's resilience against impersonation, physical tampering attacks, etc. We analyze and compare the performance of the proposed protocol, which further demonstrates our protocol's effectiveness and security compared to competing protocols. Moreover, the proposed protocol achieves resource efficiency with 45.99% and 58.85% substantial reductions in computation overhead and energy overhead, respectively, compared to competing protocols. These results showcase the protocol's enhanced security and practicality for resource-constrained SG environments. © 2014 IEEE.

A novel deep learning-based face mask detection system is designed to enhance public safety in various environments. With the ongoing global health concerns, the need for efficient and accurate methods to identify individuals wearing or not wearing face masks has become crucial. By utilizing convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transfer learning techniques, proposed model achieves impressive accuracy while maintaining high-speed processing capabilities. This paper outlines the architecture, training process, and performance evaluation of the proposed deep learning-based face mask detection system, highlighting its promising role in contributing to a safer and healthier society. The development of a vision-based safety system, the transfer of a small YOLO object detection model, and the creation of a CNN-based classification model are the key objectives of this study. According to experimental findings, proposed system is capable of real-time face mask detection and classification with an accuracy of over 98%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this paper,we present a novel adaptive performance control approach for strict-feedback nonparametric systems with unknown time-varying control coefficients,which mainly includes the following ***,by introducing several key transformation functions and selecting the initial value of the time-varying scaling function,the symmetric prescribed performance with global and semi-global properties can be handled uniformly,without the need for control ***,to handle the problem of unknown time-varying control coefficient with an unknown sign,we propose an enhanced Nussbaum function(ENF)bearing some unique properties and characteristics,with which the complex stability analysis based on specific Nussbaum functions as commonly used is no longer ***,by utilizing the core-function information technique,the nonparametric uncertainties in the system are gracefully handled so that no approximator is ***,simulation results verify the effectiveness and benefits of the approach.

Recently, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, various quarantine measures have been implemented to reduce the spread of the virus. As a part of efforts, the preference for touchless technology has been emerging. In this paper, we propose a touchless elevator control system using CNN-based hand gesture recognition. Experimental results show that the hand recognition AP and FPS on the Jetson TX2 board are 81.87% and 11.8FPS, respectively. We demonstrate that an elevator model could be controlled by virtual elevator buttons utilizing CNN-based hand gesture recognition. The proposed method can be applied to commercial elevators as an approach to prevent the spread of viruses from elevator buttons. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new variational Gaussian filtering approach for estimating the state of a nonlinear dynamic system. We first assume that the predictive distribution of the state is Gaussian and derive an iterative method for updating the state posterior in the natural parameter space through KullbackLeibler divergence minimization. The obtained update rule is the same as that of the conjugate-computation variational inference technique in Bayesian learning. The derivation here is simpler and more insightful. We then impose a Wishart prior on the inverse of the state prediction covariance to take into account the impact of approximating the state predictive distribution using a Gaussian density on the state posterior estimation. The prediction covariance is identified jointly with the state using variational inference and the established state posterior update rule to achieve the desired Gaussian filtering. Simulation study examines the performance of the proposed filtering framework in target tracking based on bearing and range measurements. © 2024 ISIF.
