EPDTNet + -EM: Advanced Transfer Learning and SubNet Architecture for Medical Image Diagnosis

This paper presents a novel medical imaging framework, Efficient Parallel Deep Transfer SubNet+-based Explainable Model (EPDTNet + -EM), designed to improve the detection and classification of abnormalities in medical images. The model integrates Enhanced Exponential Transfer Learning (En-ETL) and the Parallel SubNet (PSNet +) architecture, addressing challenges like overfitting, high computational cost, and limited generalization across complex datasets. En-ETL accelerates learning and enhances precision, while PSNet + balances computational efficiency and performance through parallel convolutional layers and an axis attention mechanism. The proposed framework preprocesses medical images using resizing, noise removal, and contrast enhancement, ensuring high-quality inputs for analysis. For classification, the PSNet + model categorizes medical images into normal and abnormal cases. Explainable AI (XAI) is applied to highlight key features in classified images, improving interpretability and clinical decision-making. Experimental results validate the framework on various datasets, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and mammography images. The proposed model achieves a classification accuracy of 98.83%, a false positive rate of 2%, and an execution time of 5.3 ms. Comparative Analysis show superior performance over existing approaches in classification accuracy and efficiency. Fake news, Fake certification, and Plagiarism are the most common issues arising these days. During this COVID-19 situation, there are a lot of rumors and fake news spreading and some of us are using fake certification to avoid vaccination and plagiarism became the most common topic during online studies. It is found that several apps and websites are present for the detection of false news and plagiarism. However, there is no single website for the detection of fake certificates. Moreover, nothing is made that consists of all these features in one platform. So, this proposed work develops a website for detecting fake news, Fake certificate, and plagiarism detector. The proposed method uses Natural Language Processing techniques for detecting NPC (news, plagiarism, and certificate). The proposed work uses image processing with some Python libraries like OpenCV in all the detections and that makes it quite interesting. For detecting NPC (news, plagiarism, and certificate) the algorithm is built using a k-mean model, logistic regression, and neural network. The proposed work uses the datasets that are trained using the count vectorizer method for the detection and to get its accuracy which will be tested using machine learning algorithms. Fine Tuning Attribute Weighted Naïve Bayes (FTAWNB) is a reliable modified Naïve Bayes model. Even though it is able to provide high accuracy on ordinal data, this model is sensitive to outliers. To improve the performance of FTAWNB, this research modified the Partial Instances Reduction (PIR) technique to make the FTAWNB more adaptive to outliers. Nevertheless, in contrast to the original PIR technique, which substitutes missing values for data values deemed outliers, the PIR technique suggested in this study replaces data values deemed outliers using a Naïve Bayes weighting approach. The attribute values from the outlier data are replaced with the highest probability values for the attributes in the actual class. This PIR technique is referred to as modified PIR. The FTAWNB model with modified PIR has been evaluated using the Gaming Disorder dataset. Replacing the four attributes with the least amount of information resulted in accuracy gains of 99.74%, an increase of 1.53% over the FTAWNB model. The experimental result shows that adding the modified PIR technique to the FTAWNB model can handle the outlier in the data, proving it by increasing the performance in terms of accuracy, precision, and recall without pruning the dataset used. © 2025, Ital Publication. The growing realm of blockchain technology has captivated researchers and practitioners alike with its promise of decentralized, secure, and transparent transactions. This paper presents a comprehensive survey and analysis of various blockchain technologies, focusing on their fundamental properties, architectural designs, operational models, evolutionary trends, and overarching frameworks. Through an extensive review of existing literature and empirical studies, this research synthesizes the multifaceted landscape of blockchain, elucidating key concepts such as consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, scalability, interoperability, and privacy protocols. By examining the evolution of blockchain from its inception to its current state and beyond, this paper delineates the trajectory of technological advancements and identifies emerging paradigms. A Novel Framework for Detecting Flood Disaster: Spatio-Temporal Fusion and Digital Twin Approach

Flood is regarded as common disaster which could cause serious devastation in any country. Typically, it is caused due to precipitation & river runoffs, specifically at the time of excessive rainfall season. Also, by the consequence of global warming and extreme environmental effects, flood becomes a serious issue to the extent on bringing negative impacts to infrastructure and mankind. The technology of sensor network has been used to monitor changes in landcovers and water level fluctuations. Moreover, effective disaster monitoring & notification system in real-time becomes a crucial part which needs to be overcome. For this reason, the proposed methodology is designed aiming at developing natural disaster prediction and monitoring system for alerting that aids in offering right decision at right time. At first, remote sensing image data are collected and preprocessed using Frequency Ratio and Multi-collinearity test (MCT) to ensure noise removal and image augmentation by enhancing their quality. A feature extraction process is carried with the use of Deep Convolution VGGNet-16 from which optimal features are selected using Improved Harris Hawks Optimization algorithm (IHHOA). Then, a Flexible Spatiotemporal image fusion (F-SPTF) approach is employed to fuse images. After this, Deep cascaded RNN classifier is employed for predicting flood occurrence and to map flood susceptibility areas. This, in turn, classifies the normal and abnormal condition of flood occurrence thus giving alerts in case of natural disaster occurrences which could be visualized through digital twin technologies. At last, the performance is carried for various metrics like F1-score, precision, accuracy, recall, RMSE, NSE, MAPE, and MAE to validate proposed scheme efficiency. A suggested scheme offers an accuracy rate of about (99.89%), precision (99.37%), recall (99.82%), and F1-score (99.74%). Background: Foreign object debris (FOD) is an unwanted substance that damages vehicular systems, most commonly the wheels of vehicles. In airport runways, these foreign objects can damage the wheels or internal systems of planes, potentially leading to flight crashes. Surveys indicate that FOD-related damage costs over $4 billion annually, affecting airlines, airport tenants, and passengers. Current FOD clearance involves high-cost radars and significant manpower, and existing radar and camera-based surveillance methods are expensive to install. Methods: This work proposes a video-based deep learning methodology to address the high cost of radar-based FOD detection. The proposed system consists of two modules for FOD detection: object classification and object localization. The classification module categorizes FOD into specific types of foreign objects. In the object localization module, these classified objects are pinpointed in video frames. Results: The proposed system was experimentally tested with a large video dataset and compared with existing methods. The results demonstrated improved accuracy and robustness, allowing the FOD clearance team to quickly detect and remove foreign objects, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of airport runway operations. © 2025 S et al.

Lung cancer is the most lethal form of cancer. This paper introduces a novel framework to discern and classify pulmonary disorders such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer by analyzing conventional X-ray and CT scan images called lung cancer risk prediction (LCRP) model. LCRP has four modules, namely data collection and preprocessing, data augmentation module, image segmentation module, and prediction module. Actually, LCRP employs three deep learning models;sequential model, functional model, and transfer model on publicly available training datasets. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have emerged as a highly effective field in machine learning, particularly for image datasets in the field of biomedical applications. The primary goal is to validate these models by comparing their performance with other models in order to determine their effectiveness in addressing challenging datasets. Our research has revealed a noteworthy enhancement in the efficiency of binary and multi-class classification using mask R-CNN image segmentation. During the model training process, a combination of Adam and stochastic gradient descent dual optimizers has been used to improve performance. LCRP have outperformed current pre-trained models by minimizing training parameters, computational costs, and overhead. It introduces 98.5% accuracy, 88.7% specificity, 89% sensitivity, 89.2% precision, and 89.09% F-measure. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

India is a country whose primary sources of income are agriculture and farming. Varied soil in the nation enables farmers to grow a wide range of crops all year round. The agricultural industry has been the focus of in-depth investigation in the past several years due to recent technological advances, including machine learning and smart computing. The proposed work aims to develop a web application for crop selection supporting farmers and improving agricultural productivity. Various supervised machine learning classifiers are used for crop prediction based on environmental factors and soil conditions. Performance metrics are included in the evaluation of several machine learning models. GCNTrain+: A Versatile and Efficient Accelerator for Graph Convolutional Neural Network Training

Recently, graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have gained wide attention due to their ability to capture node relationships in graphs. One problem appears when full-batch GCN is trained on large graph datasets, where the computational and memory requirements are unacceptable. To address this issue, mini-batch GCN training is introduced to improve the scalability of GCN training for large datasets by sampling and training only a subset of the graph in each batch. Although several acceleration techniques have been designed for boosting the efficiency of full-batch GCN, they lack attention to mini-batch GCN, which differs from full-batch GCN in terms of the sampled dynamic graph structures. Based on our previous work, GCNTrain [28], which was originally excogitated for accelerating full-batch GCN training, we devise GCNTrain+ - a universal accelerator to tackle the performance bottlenecks associated with both full-batch and mini-batch GCN ***+ is equipped with two engines to optimize computation and memory access in GCN training, respectively. To reduce the computation overhead, we propose to dynamically reconfigure the computation order based on the varying data dimensions involved in each training batch. Moreover, we build a unified computation engine to perform the sparse-dense matrix multiplications and sparse-sparse matrix multiplications discovered in GCN training uniformly. To alleviate the memory burden, we devise a two-phased dynamic clustering mechanism to capture data locality as well as customized hardware to reduce the clustering overhead. We evaluate GCNTrain+ on seven datasets, and the result shows that GCNTrain+ achieves 136.0×, 52.6×, 2.2×, and 1.5× speedup over CPU, GPU, GCNAX, and GCNTrain in full-batch GCN training. Additionally, GCNTrain+ outperforms them with speedups of 131.6×, 67.1×, 4.4×, and 1.5× in mini-batch GCN training. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
