This paper presents an end-to-end wireless digital twin platform constructed using open-source software and open data to enhance the evaluation of mobile communication systems. The proposed open wireless digital twin (OWDT) integrates OpenAirInterface (OAI) for 5G NR protocol stack emulation and NVIDIA Sionna RT for high-resolution ray tracing based radio propagation modeling. This integration enables realistic emulation of vehicular mobility scenarios, leveraging real-world geographic and building data to bridge the gap between theoretical simulations and real-world deployments. The platform utilizes ORAN’s Near-RT RIC via OAI FlexRIC to dynamically monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as RSRP, MCS, BLER, and throughput in real time. Through extensive evaluation in urban environments, this study demonstrates the validity of the emulation framework, revealing its capability to replicate real-world communication dynamics with high fidelity. The results underscore the potential of OWDT in accelerating wireless system development, reducing experimental costs, and optimizing network configurations. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. This paper presents a novel algorithm for reachability analysis of nonlinear discrete-time systems. The proposed method combines constrained zonotopes (CZs) with polyhedral relaxations of factorable representations of nonlinear functions to propagate CZs through nonlinear functions, which is normally done using conservative linearization techniques. The new propagation method provides better approximations than those resulting from linearization procedures, leading to significant improvements in the computation of reachable sets in comparison to other CZ methods from the literature. Numerical examples highlight the advantages of the proposed algorithm.

Capital market transactions provide an opportunity for investors to acquire ownership of company shares and capital gains, as well as dividends. However, alongside the benefits, there are risks of capital loss and liquidation, leading to stress and depression due to profit targets and decision-making errors. To mitigate the risk of decision-making errors in investment, data analysis is needed, including sentiment analysis, which influences stock prices. This study aims to develop a new deep learning model to classify Indonesian public opinion on JCI stocks, especially the Energy sector, obtained from the Twitter social media platform. The model will perform sentiment analysis and categorize opinions as negative, neutral, or positive. We created a dataset that was trained using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) to summarize the analysis of public sentiment above so that it can assist investors in studying public sentiment as a reference for investing with a yield precision of 76%, Recall of 77%, and F1-score on 76%. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, an LSTM autoencoder-based architecture is utilized for drowsiness detection with ResNet-34 as feature extractor. The problem is considered as anomaly detection for a single subject;therefore, only the normal driving representations are learned and it is expected that drowsiness representations, yielding higher reconstruction losses, are to be distinguished according to the knowledge of the network. In our study, the confidence levels of normal and anomaly clips are investigated through the methodology of label assignment such that training performance of LSTM autoencoder and interpretation of anomalies encountered during testing are analyzed under varying confidence rates. Our method is experimented on NTHU-DDD and benchmarked with a state-of-the-art anomaly detection method for driver drowsiness. Results show that the proposed model achieves detection rate of 0.8740 area under curve (AUC) and is able to provide significant improvements on certain scenarios. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Reflected shear wave computed tomography for elasticity imaging of 3D cell cultures using a single-element transducer

Shear wave elasticity imaging (SWEI) has long been used to quantify tissue stiffness in clinical diagnoses. In comparison with conventional bulk-based measurement methods, SWEI offers the distinct advantage of nondestructive sampling, thereby enabling the spatiotemporal monitoring of stiffness variations. However, applying SWEI to assessing millimeter-scale three-dimensional (3D) cell environments has faced limitations despite its potential in mechanobiology, and the existing techniques are insufficient for imaging inhomogeneous media environments. In this study, we investigated a computed tomography technique specifically designed for reflected SWEI (called R-SWCT) by rotational scanning in a sample using a 20-MHz ultrasound single-element transducer. We focused on samples containing a single inclusion with higher stiffness than the surrounding medium, mimicking the situation of a tumor sphere embedded in a 3D gel. Our method reconstructs the stiffness distribution using a curve-fitting method, wherein coefficients of Gaussian curves are fitted to the wavefronts of simulated signals. This reconstruction method yielded coefficients that closely approximated the wavefronts obtained experimentally, with a maximum difference between the measured and predicted shear wave speeds of only 0.1 m/s for phantom samples and 0.2 m/s for cell samples. The system and methodologies proposed in this research have demonstrated the feasibility of employing R-SWCT to study the remodeling dynamics of a cell group within its surrounding matrix in an in vitro setting. This noninvasive method also facilitates an exploration of how irradiation dosage used in radiation therapy can induce temporal alterations in the shear wave speed in 3D cancer cell cultures. © 2024 Author(s).

This paper showcases the development of a wideband Dual-polarized horn antenna for mm-wave applications. It can be used for reflector feeding, imaging, satellite communication and power transmission due to its enhanced parameters. The working bandwidth is 10 GHz from 4 GHz to 14 GHz (VSWR $\lt1.9)$. This design is formed of three parts: 1) the waveguide is designed to support the entire bandwidth and to improve the impedance matching 2) four ridges to enable Dual-polarized antenna 3) the flared part is corrugated to enhance the side lobe level (SLL). The insertion between the two ports is less than -25 dB for most frequencies. The SLL is less than -25 dB for the low frequencies and -30 dB for the high frequencies. The co- and cross-pol radiation pattern simulation shows that the cross-pol magnitude is 20-30 dB less than the co-pol magnitude. These results have been proved using the CST MWS and Ansys HFSS software.

Synthetic dyes have changed perceptions of natural dyes, but their chemical origins pose environmental risks. Seeking an eco-friendly alternative, the indigenous fruit duhat from the Philippines shows promise as a potential dye for cotton fabrics. This study aimed to explore duhat's dyeing capability using a cost-effective and non-invasive testing technique. The evaluation began by creating a duhat filtrate and dyeing white cotton fabrics following standard procedures from the AATCC 61 1A handbook for color fastness testing through washing. The results and statistical analysis showed that when 150g of duhat skin was mixed with 50 mL of ethyl alcohol, it produced a filtrate with commendable color retention. An image enhancement technique converted RGB images to grayscale, aiding visual grading of color changes in cotton fabrics. The duhat skin dye scored a grade of 4 for noticeable color change and a grade of 3 for moderate staining on adjacent undyed fabric, according to the results from the gray scale for color change and staining. Furthermore, a paired t-test on the numerical data indicated no significant color change after the color fastness test compared to the fabric's original color. In conclusion, the experimentation suggests that duhat could serve as a potential natural dye source for cotton fabrics. Embracing duhat's coloring properties may reduce our reliance on synthetic dyes and help protect the environment. © 2023 IEEE.

This work addresses the problem of adaptive control of Euler-Lagrange systems considering unknown parameters without the hypothesis that the persistence of excitation (PE) condition holds. A systematic framework to obtain linear regression equations in accordance with the dynamic regressor extension and mixing (DREM) technique is proposed involving the notion of the Euler-Lagrange first integral. Then, we develop a novel robust nonlinear adaptive ${\mathcal{H}}_{\infty}$ controller capable of ensuring both convergence of the estimated unknown parameters and trajectory tracking in finite-time under a more relaxed condition than the PE assumption. The effectiveness of the proposed robust nonlinear adaptive ${\mathcal{H}}_{\infty}$ controller is corroborated through numerical experiments with a simplified CRS-A465 robot manipulator.

A Unified Framework for Multi-Hop Wireless Relaying with Hardware Impairments

Relaying increases the coverage area and reliability of wireless communications systems by mitigating the fading effect on the received signal. Most technical contributions in the context of these systems assume ideal hardware (ID) by neglecting the non-idealities of the transceivers, which include phase noise, in-phase/quadrature mismatch and high power amplifier nonlinearities. These non-idealities create distortion on the received signal by causing variations in the phase and attenuating the amplitude. The resulting deterioration of the performance of wireless communication systems is further magnified as the frequency of transmission increases. In this paper, we investigate the aggregate impact of hardware impairments (HI) on the general multi-hop relay system using amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF) relaying techniques over a general H-fading model. H-fading model includes free space optics, radio frequency, millimeter wave, Terahertz, and underwater fading models. Closed-form expressions of outage probability, bit error probability and ergodic capacity are derived in terms of H-functions. Following an asymptotic analysis at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), practical optimization problems have been formulated with the objective of finding the optimal level of HI subject to the limitation on the total HI level. The analytical solution has been derived for the Nakagami-m fading channel which is a special case of H-fading for AF and DF relaying techniques. The overall instantaneous signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio has been demonstrated to reach a ceiling at high SNRs which has a reciprocal proportion to the HI level of all hops’ transceivers on the contrary to the ID.
