In real-time PV applications, it is a problem that the maximum benefit cannot be obtained from PV systems at all times due to the nonlinearity of the PV structure and the dynamic nature of meteorological conditions. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is used to overcome this problem and to benefit from PV systems in the most efficient way. In this study, an MPPT method based on the perturb&observe (P&O) technique with nonlinear proportional-integral (NPI) control is proposed. In this method, the parameters of the NPI are adjusted with weighted mean of vectors (INFO) algorithm. Integral of time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) performance index is used for parameter setting, and control parameter behavior is added to the ITAE index to prevent control parameter noises. To validate the proposed method, it is compared with the classical PI control whose parameters are adjusted with the INFO algorithm. The proposed method exhibits 59% faster settling and 63% less overshoot in response to a pulse radiation change of 500W/m 2 . In addition, performance of the proposed method is 42% better according to the ITAE index. Consequently, it is confirmed that the proposed method is promising for future studies due to its simplicity, fast response, and these satisfactory results.

Due to the scarcity of electrical power in some regions, it is necessary to use a renewable energy source and transform this energy into electrical energy so that we can have energy continually with the fewest possible interruptions and failures. To get the most power out of the solar modules under variable load conditions despite variations in turbulence and uncertainties in temperature and other factors, the project is concerned with the design and implementation of an optimal, efficient, and robust control by optimizing the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of the solar modules. The paper aims to analyze and simulate a hybrid energy management system that uses a variety of energy input sources to supply energy to loads at an optimal level while utilizing reliable management practices. The power sources are hybrid in nature, allowing us to use two energy-providing sources in backup mode at the same time. The first of these is a solar energy source, and the second is a wind energy source. One of the design goals of this study endeavor is to get the most output possible from various power sources using strategies, technological procedures, and systems. To efficiently and reliably extract the most significant amount of power from the source, a Fuzzy logic controller using the MPPT algorithm is designed and put into practice.

FPGAs are a compelling substrate for supporting machine learning inference. Tools such as High-Level Synthesis and hls4ml can shorten the development cycle for deploying ML algorithms on FPGAs, but can struggle to handle the large on-chip storage needed for many of these models. In particular the high BRAM usage found in many of these flows can cause Place & Route failures during synthesis. In this paper we propose using a Simulated-Annealing based flow to perform BRAM-aware quantization. This approach trades off inference accuracy with BRAM usage, to provide a high-quality inference engine that still meets on-chip resource constraints. We demonstrate this flow for Transformer-based machine learning algorithms, which include Flash Attention in a Stream-based Dataflow architecture. Our system imposes minimal accuracy drops, yet can reduce BRAM usage by 20%-50%, and improve power efficiency by 264%-812% compared to existing Transformer-based accelerators on FPGAs

LLMs (Large-scale Language Models), such as ChatGPT, have been widely used for a variety of purposes. The current sophisticated LLMs have a voice mode, which allows a user to input and output messages using speech. In this paper, we focus on ChatGPT-4, which is one of the most popular LLMs, and investigate the suitability of the responses obtained by the LLM with its voice mode. In particular, we evaluate and explore the evaluation results of the input speech data. Through our evaluation, we show that the LLM's responses are very human-like and too gentle to evaluate the speech audio data.
