Water resource management relies heavily on reliable water quality predictions. Predicting water quality metrics in the watershed system, including dissolved oxygen (DO), is the main emphasis of this work. The enhanced long short-term memory (LSTM) model was suggested to improve the model’s performance. Additionally, a hybrid model was employed to calculate the ideal parameter values for the LSTM model, which helped overcome the nonstationarity, unpredictability, and nonlinearity of the data about the water quality parameters. This model recruited the COOT method. The original weekly water quality values at the Vaigai River, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, were tested using the suggested hybrid model. An independent LSTM, the hybrid optimisation method takes its cues from the cuckoo bird’s reproductive strategy and a novel meta-heuristic optimisation technique dubbed COOT, which is based on the behaviour of a flock of coot birds. If implemented, the suggested hybrid model might serve as an alternate framework for water quality prediction, laying the groundwork for basin-wide efforts to manage water quality and control pollutants. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

This research work presents the design and development of a hybrid electric bicycle with a primary focus on energy conservation. A hybrid electric vehicle combines two or more energy conversion technologies with one or more storage units, aiming to optimize performance and efficiency. The ultimate goal of this research work is to create a personal transportation vehicle that promotes active mobility while addressing the limitations of traditional bicycles, such as limited range and power, without compromising the inherent benefits. This research proposes a hybrid-electric bicycle that enhances practicality by reducing the physical effort required while allowing for higher speeds. The proposed system incorporates a small permanent magnet DC motor mounted on the rear wheel, powered by lead-acid batteries with a voltage exceeding 24 volts. The hybrid electric bicycle can be recharged through three methods: manual pedaling, connection to a 220-volt AC socket, or solar energy. By combining solar energy with the energy generated through pedaling, the bicycle significantly extends the range achievable with electric power, storing the converted energy in the battery for sustained use. © 2024 IEEE.

Brain tumor classification using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a pivotal area in medical diagnostics, with the potential to influence early detection and subsequent treatment strategies. Over the years, various machine learning and deep learning models have been proposed to enhance the accuracy of MRI-based tumor detection. In this evolving landscape, this paper introduces a distinctive deep-learning model that harnesses the power of a soft attention mechanism. We employ a meticulously designed Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) comprising four convolution layers. One of the significant innovations in our approach is the method of feature extraction. Instead of extracting features solely from the final layer, as is common in many models, our approach aggregates and combines features from all layers. This ensures that the vital characteristics intrinsic to each layer are not lost but rather amalgamated into a robust and comprehensive feature vector. The incorporation of a soft attention mechanism at the terminal stages ensures that the most salient and clinically relevant features are emphasized, enhancing classification accuracy. To validate the efficacy of our proposed model, we employed standard datasets for training and testing. Purpose: Breast cancer (BC) is a leading cause of death among women. Several existing methods on breast cancer classification were suggested with machine learning, but none of them accurately classify the breast cancer and requires high computational time. To overcome these problems, deep convolutional spiking neural network fostered automatic detection and classification of breast cancer from mammography images (DCSNN-BCDC-MI) is proposed in this manuscript. Methods: Initially, input breast mammography pictures are taken from Digital Database for Screening Mammography (DDSM) data set. The input breast mammography images are pre-processed and feature extracted. The DCSNN is employed to categorize pictures using retrieved characteristics, such as benign and malignant. Results: The proposed DCSNN-BCDC-MI technique is implemented at PYTHON. The performance of the proposed DCSNN-BCDC-MI technique attains 31.13%, 12.78%, 14.38%, 19.33%, and 19.11% high accuracy and 61.08%, 66.42%, 66.54%, 50.26%, and 53.03% low computation time comparing to the existing techniques, like deep learning fed capsule neural network for breast cancer detection utilizing mammogram images (OMLTS-DLCN-BCDC-MI), extended model for tumor location detection based on deep learning (VGG-CNN-BCDC-MI), deep learning algorithm for automated identification with breast cancer classification depending on transfer-learning strategy (VGG16-BCDC-MI), deep learning method for breast cancer identification on mammography by learning certain cancerous mass representations (CNN-Deep AE-BCDC-MI), and automatic identification with mammograms classification dependent on increased extreme learning machine along deep learning (ICS-ELM-BCDC-MI), respectively. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a prevalent issue contributing to deprivation among people in terms of their capability to maintain social relationships and interact normally with fellow members of society. Teens with ASD battle to exercise proper sociable behavior as well as mingle with others sharing the same age range. It affects all sorts of races, ethnicities and budgets alike. Despite its long- term nature, ASD has therapies and treatments that can help address issues associated with it such as restlessness, aggression, repetitive behavior, focus difficulties, worry and depression through the use of medicine. The use of virtual reality-based training, in addition to medical intervention, may be used to address various behavioral tradeoffs through repeated conditioning and learning. A variety of learning scenarios that would be unsafe, challenging, or time-consuming to set up or frequently recreate in the real world can now be simulated using virtual reality (VR) technology. In this paper, a virtual reality simulator for with the aid of social educators, achieve this goal. This study used the gaming program Social Activity Trainer to simulate and construct a virtual reality (VR)-based assistive aid (SAT). The assistive tool was created to help youngsters with ASD interact and use social skills. Based on three key skills—facial expression recognition, reading comprehension, and task delivery—seven tasks were created for the VR assistive tool. There are seven modules in a virtual reality scenario, including one for music therapy. The EEG signals are looked at to assess the degree of autism in 10 ASD children who participated in the test. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Wireless Sensor Network(WSNs)consists of a group of nodes that analyze the information from surrounding *** sensor nodes are responsible for accumulating and exchanging ***,node local-ization is the process of identifying the target node’s *** this research work,a Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI)-based optimal node localization approach is proposed to solve the complexities in the conventional node localization ***,the RSSI value is identified using the Deep Neural Network(DNN).The RSSI is conceded as the range-based method and it does not require special hardware for the node localization process,also it consumes a very minimal amount of cost for localizing the nodes in 3D *** position of the anchor nodes is fixed for detecting the location of the ***,the optimal position of the target node is identified using Hybrid T cell Immune with Lotus Effect Optimization algorithm(HTCI-LEO).During the node localization process,the average localization error is minimized,which is the objective of the optimal node *** the regular and irregular surfaces,this hybrid algorithm effectively performs the localization *** suggested hybrid algorithm converges very fast in the three-dimensional(3D)*** accuracy of the proposed node localization process is 94.25%.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that significantly impacts motor function. Early detection is critical for effective intervention, yet traditional diagnostic methods often face limitations in accuracy and timeliness. This paper proposes a hybrid deep learning model combining EfficientNet, BiLSTM, and GANs to improve PD detection accuracy using medical images and sequential data. EfficientNet is employed for extracting features from MRI scans, while BiLSTM is used to analyze temporal data, such as gait and speech patterns, to capture the progressive changes associated with PD. Additionally, GANs are utilized to augment the dataset, addressing the challenges of data scarcity and imbalance. The fusion of spatial and temporal features enables a more comprehensive understanding of PD, improving diagnostic performance. Bayesian optimization is applied for hyperparameter tuning, and K-fold cross-validation ensures robust model evaluation. The results demonstrate that the hybrid model outperforms single-modal approaches in both classification and regression tasks, offering enhanced accuracy in detecting PD and predicting disease severity. Furthermore, interpretability techniques like Grad-CAM and attention mechanisms are incorporated to provide insights into the model's decision-making process. This work presents a promising approach for automating PD diagnosis and lays the groundwork for further research in multi-modal deep learning for disease detection. © 2025 IEEE.

Cervical squamous cell carcinoma is anticipated to become the fourth most prevalent cancer globally and is expected to cause the death of one in three affected women. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 86% of all documented cases of cervical cancer occur in developing countries.. Gene expression profiling is still used extensively in the investigation of cervical cancer. Gene expression patterns have been investigated in biological networks, in particular a gene co-expression network, which emerges as an unconventional comprehensive method for microarray research. A component of the physiognomy in gene co-expression networks continues to be disproportionate even at the point in time when a particular biological issue has been ***, the Enhanced Bacterial colony Optimization Algorithm with Hilbert-Schmidt Independence Criterion (EBCO-HSIC) and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method are bestowed in this investigation by selecting symbolic genes that encompass phases including normalisation, module detection, gene selection, and classification. The gene dataset is first percolated using the fuzzy C Means (FCM) approach, which is then used for both the purpose of normalisation and the removal of extraneous features. The EBO method is used in order to choose the suitable genes using the degree of accuracy in categorization as the fitness function. The approach that was devised focuses on gene importance as well as calibrating the dependence between differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in order to arbitrate a selection of the most informative genes by using an ultrafast beyond ascendable bat algorithm. In order to remedy this situation, HSIC, which is supported in part by EBO, is put into action. The SVM classifier is an effective tool for categorising high-dimensional data, such as that obtained from microarray gene expression. © 2024 IEEE.

Research in the field of malware detection is currently leaning toward methods based on artificial intelligence algorithms due to the increasing limitations of traditional detection methods and the increasing accuracy of these methods. This study therefore introduces a novel approach to malware detection. This method integrates a deep learning model's autoencoder network with a grayscale graphic depiction of malware. By looking at the autoencoder's reconstruction error, we may assess if the grey-scale picture approach is feasible to use for malware detection. Additionally, it differentiates between malicious and safe software by utilizing the autoencoder's dimensionality reduction capabilities. Using the Android dataset, our newly introduced detection model attained a 95% accuracy and maintained a consistently high F-score of approximately 95%. This manuscript presents a hybrid method for optimal energy management in smart home appliances. The proposed approach combines the Ebola Optimization Search Algorithm (EOSA) with the performance of spiking neural networks (SNN). The key objective of the proposed strategy is cost reduction through day-ahead load scheduling while also considering the best demand response (DR), and self-consumption of photovoltaic (PV). The EOSA method manages air conditioning (AC) and ensures thermal comfort. In addition, the SNN method was used to predict the optimal system control signal. Comparative analysis with existing systems, such as PSO, RFA, and BCO, showed that the proposed strategy resulted in 13% cost savings. The proposed system considered parameters, such as solar radiation, occupant presence, and electricity prices. The proposed technique is implemented in the MATLAB software, and the performance is compared with existing approaches. The efficiency of the proposed approach is higher than the existing techniques. © 2024 The Institute of electronics and Information Engineers.
