Privacy-preserving multi-keyword hybrid search over encrypted data in cloud

Data outsourcing to the cloud is gaining popularity day by day in cloud computing. It requires a dynamic architecture that avoids loopholes and stops intruders from entering the cloud environment. To retrieve the enciphered documents from the cloud, the latest technique that is enrolled effectively is multi-keyword fuzzy search. The proposed research work uses this technique along with the n-gram corpus algorithm that helps to achieve relevancy score and sub-linear search time. This algorithmic combination is able to predict the privacy ranking measure of the retrieved data. To validate the opposed approach, simulation analysis has been performed to preserve user-oriented privacy in a cloud environment. The ranking precision of the proposed method is compared with (Fu et al. in IEEE Trans Inf Forensics Secur 12(8):1874–1884. https://***/10.1109/TIFS.2017.2692728, 2017) which uses a stemming algorithm and a matching algorithm based on the inner product. Currently, the 4G network service has caused massive digital growth in high use. Video calling has become the go-to Internet application for many people, downloading even huge files in minutes. Everyone is looking for and buying only 4G Subscriber Identity Module (SIM)-capable mobiles. In this case, the expectation of 5G has increased in line with 2G, 3G, and 4G, where the G stands for generation, and it does not indicate Internet or Internet speed. 5G includes next-generation features that are more advanced than those available in 4G network services. The main objective of 5G is uninterrupted telecommunication service in hybrid energy storage system. This paper proposes an intelligent networking model to obtain the maximum energy efficiency and Artificial Intelligence (AI) automation of 5G networks. There is currently an issue where the signal cuts out when crossing an area with one tower and traveling to an area with another tower. The problem of “call drop”, where the call is disconnected while talking, is not present in 5G. The proposed Intelligent Computational Model (ICM) model obtained 96.31% network speed management, 90.63% battery capacity management, 92.27% network device management, 93.57% energy efficiency, and 88.41% AI automation.

Snow accumulation on solar panels reduces their performance in energy generation regions. Hence certain image processing methods were developed for segmenting snow from the normal areas of solar panels. Graph Cut and Flood Fill are the popular semi-automatic method used for this application where it relies on detecting an efficient region for marking the segmentation process. Similarly, the manual intervention fails to provide consistent results in such methods. Therefore, a customized graph cut methodology is proposed in this work by combining super pixel-based feature extraction and k-means clustering. At first, the input images are preprocessed by dividing the pixels to form super pixels as a group to reduce the computational complexity without losing the meaningful information. Features like intensity, edge density, texture, and color are extracted from these super pixel groups for segmenting the snow-covered regions on a solar panel. Further, the extracted features are normalized by a k-means clustering algorithm for identifying the highest intensity regions to observe the snow-covered regions. A graph cut-based segmentation technique is applied at the end to ensure the precise boundary delineation. The work is also incorporated with several post-processing techniques for improving the segmentation mask quality. This proposed method is evaluated against Graph cut and flood fill and satisfied with an average dice similarity coefficient of 93.09% and 95.11%. © 2025 IEEE.

This research allows the secure surveillance approach for the Internet of Things (IoT) methodology to be developed by integrating wireless signalling and image encryption strategy. Since the Cloud Service Telco (CST) is a semi-trusted body in cloud services, user data is encrypted before uploading to a cloud server for data protection from disclosure. The flexibility of encrypted data sharing is essential for cloud storage users. This study investigates the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) technique with modified Huffman compression and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). It encrypts and decrypts the data and enhances industrial security surveillance in transmission. It uses the wireless network’s next generation (5G or 6G) as uplink Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) strategies via the IoT. This study presented a novel approach to proposing hardware architecture for a secure web camera integrated with the Atmel in the mega AVR family (ATMEGA) microcontroller, suitable for IoT applications. The experimental results confirm the proposed model’s efficacy compared with existing robustness and security analysis algorithms. These systems are also used by implementing industry-standard protocols using IoTs to monitor industrial applications. The proposed framework can also minimise bandwidth, transmission cost, storage space, tracking data, and decisions about abnormal events such as potential fraud and extinguisher detection in surveilling applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

To date, the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) is a significant source in several applications, including Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). However, the maximization of the network lifetime is the major concern. Also, none of the prevailing works focused on attack prediction in SCH, thus affecting the network longevity. Therefore, this paper proposes a Deep-SHC-ADRNN and LFHIS-based CH selection and secure IoT communication in a 6G WSN-assisted smart city. Primarily, the WSN nodes are optimally deployed in the monitoring area using A-TDO. Now, the network expiry time is predicted through ***, the node factors are estimated to select the CH and SCH based on LFHIS. Subsequently, the attack detection is done based on the proposed Deep-SHC-ADRNN classifier, which classifies whether the SCH is attacked or not. Next, the double cluster is formed via B2C-HC. Afterward, the IoT data is sensed from the smart city and then the dimensionality of the data is reduced using 2SP-PCA. Also, the data is encrypted via MC25519-C, followed by optimal path identification. Finally, the data is transmitted to the end-user via NB-IoT protocol. Thus, the experimental results showed that the proposed approach had higher dominance with 98.97% accuracy. © The Institution of Engineers (India) 2025.

Pulses are one of the most important food crops in the world due to their higher protein content, approximately 21%-25%. Therefore, it is crucial to analyze the crop's quality and impurity levels. Stones, pebbles, marble chips, and synthetic dyes, such as lead chromate, metanil yellow, and artificial colors, are some of the impurities added to pulse products, accidentally or on purpose. The existing analysis techniques are mostly laboratory-based, time-consuming, costly, and require human examination. To address this issue, this article presents an intelligent system, FoodExpert, based on image processing that automatically uses an image of a pulse sample to identify the region of interest and essential attributes. Then, machine learning frameworks are used to predict pulse quality and adulteration levels based on the obtained parameters. On the test dataset, the suggested model had a 96% accuracy rate for pulse quality prediction and 94% accuracy for adulteration level prediction. The model was successfully deployed on a Raspberry Pi-based hardware prototype and mobile application. © 2023 IEEE.

Most real-time computer vision applications heavily rely on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based models, for image classification and recognition. Due to the computationally and memory-intensive nature of the CNN model, it’s challenging to deploy on resource-constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices to enable Edge intelligence for real-time decision-making. Edge intelligence requires minimum inference latency, memory footprint, and energy-efficient model. This work aims to develop an energy-efficient deep learning accelerator using a 3-stage pipeline: Training, Weight-pruning, and Quantization to reduce the model size and optimize the resources. First, we employ YOLOv3, a CNN architecture to detect objects in an image on the trained data. In addition, a sparse network of YOLO has been created by using pruning, which helps to improve the network’s performance and efficiency by reducing the computational requirements. Finally, we utilize 8-bit quantization to reduce the precision of the weights and activations, in a neural network. The evaluation of our proposed model shows that combining pruning and 8-bit quantization improves the efficiency and performance of the model. While pruning shows a decline of 80.39% in model parameters. The combination of 8-bit quantization results in an improvement in inference latency by 22.72% compared to existing SQuantization approach and a reduction of energy consumption by 29.41%. © The Author(s) 2024.

Coconut farming is an essential agricultural practice that contributes significantly to the global economy by providing valuable products such as coconut water, oil, and meat. However, the management of coconut plantations faces numerous challenges, including labor shortages, pest control, and the demand for precise irrigation and fertilization. This paper proposes an integrated smart farming system that leverages advanced sensor technologies and automation to address these challenges. The system employs precision irrigation and fertigation methods, facilitated by a centralized motor controller and solenoid valves, to deliver water and nutrients efficiently to the base of each coconut tree. A pH sensor monitors soil acidity or alkalinity, ensuring optimal nutrient availability and promoting sustainable farming practices by reducing chemical inputs. Additional features include a tree motion sensor and a tilt sensor for monitoring tree stability under adverse weather conditions. Soil moisture sensors, temperature, humidity, and light intensity sensors provide real-time data to enhance decision-making. Farmers can remotely monitor and control the system via a Node-RED dashboard, receiving alerts through platforms like Telegram. By integrating these technologies, the proposed system aims to optimize resource utilization, enhance crop yield, and reduce the environmental impact of coconut farming. © 2025 IEEE.
