Byzantine distributed quickest change detection (BDQCD) is a crucial problem in cyber-physical security. The challenge of this problem is that an AI plus IoT (AIoT) network needs to detect the change as quickly as possible, subject to a false alarm rate, to prevent device damage. In the BDQCD problem, dealing with compromised meters also becomes a challenge since these meters can collaboratively form an attack to lengthen the detection delay in an IoT network. Here we consider the network where a fusion center monitors the occurrence of an abrupt event through a bunch of distributed meters that may be compromised. To solve the challenge, a new coded framework for BDQCD utilizing bounded distance decoding at the fusion center is proposed. First, under sufficient meter-to-fusion-center link capacity, we achieve a theoretical result that the detection delay of our scheme can be asymptotically optimal in special cases. Next, new codebooks under insufficient link capacities are designed based on the theoretical result. Through the simulation results, our coded BDQCDs outperform the state-of-the-art works by achieving significantly shorter detection delay under various attacks. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

This research looks at microwave devices, specifically, patch antenna along with electromagnetic spectrum, shape, mechanism, analytical methods, simulation tools, and feeding procedures. Patch antennas are distinguished by their rectangular form, with a patch on one side and a ground plane on the other. Patch antennas work by exciting electromagnetic waves inside the patch, which are subsequently transmitted into the surrounding environment. The report also outlines numerous ways for evaluating the performance of microstrip patch antennas. The electromagnetic characteristics of the antenna are analyzed using the transmission line model, cavity model, and multiport network model (MNM). The integral equations that regulate the behavior of the antenna are solved using the method of moments (MoM) and the finite element method (FEM). The spectral domain technique (SDT) is used to analyze the antenna’s frequency response, while the finite difference time domain (FDTD) approach is used to analyze the antenna’s time-domain behavior. Overall, these methodologies give a thorough understanding of microstrip patch antenna performance and may be utilized to optimize their design. Furthermore, several patch antenna feeding methods, such as probe feed, microstrip line feeding, aperture coupling, proximity coupling, and CPW feed, are investigated. Attaching a microstrip line to the patch, which is subsequently linked to the RF source, is what microstrip line feeding entails. Aperture coupling entails making a hole in the ground plane that allows the RF source to feed the patch directly. Proximity coupling is accomplished by placing a probe near the patch, which creates an electromagnetic field on the patch. Patch antenna simulation software includes programmers such as HFSS, CST, and FEKO. These tools simulate the patch antenna’s performance, including its radiation pattern, gain, and input impedance. In real-world scenarios, speech signals are often corrupted by various types of noise, which can significantly degrade the intelligibility and quality of the speech. Noise in such environments is highly non-stationary, changing rapidly and unpredictably. A new algorithm has been created to estimate noise in speech signals affected by rapidly changing and unpredictable non-stationary noise. This algorithm aims to enhance speech quality and intelligibility in challenging acoustic settings. It determines signal presence by comparing the power spectrum of noisy speech to a continually updated local minimum, calculated from past noisy speech power spectra with a look-ahead factor. Its standout feature is its rapid adaptability to swiftly respond to new noise patterns, crucial for maintaining speech clarity and quality in dynamic noise environments. Formal experiments validated its effectiveness compared to other noise-estimation methods when integrated into speech enhancement systems, using metrics like mean squared error (MSE) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). This algorithm significantly contributes to noise estimation and voice enhancement, offering effectiveness in handling highly non-stationary noise and being adaptable and versatile for various applications. This algorithm stands as a substantial advancement in the domains of noise estimation and voice enhancement overall. This paper presents a coding approach for achieving omnidirectional transmission of certain common signals in massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) networks such that the received power at any direction in a cell remains constant for any given distance. Specifically, two-dimensional (2D) Golay complementary array set (GCAS) can be used to design the massive MIMO precoding matrix so as to achieve omnidirectional transmission due to its complementary autocorrelation property. In this paper, novel constructions of new 2D GCASs with arbitrary array lengths are proposed. Our key idea is to carefully truncate the columns of certain larger arrays generated by 2D generalized Boolean functions. Finally, the power radiation patterns and numerical results are provided to verify the omnidirectional property of the GCAS-based precoding. The error performances of the proposed precoding scheme are presented to validate its superiority over the existing alternatives. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

Cepstral and acoustic ternary pattern based hybrid feature extraction approach for end-to-end bangla speech recognition

In the last three decades, a lot of work has been done for building Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems for well-established languages such as English, Chinese, etc. However, for implementing a Large Vocabulary Continuous Speech Recognition (LVCSR) system for low resource languages, the research work is also growing rapidly in corpus-focused areas. Hence, there is a requirement of benchmarking large corpus in case of low-resource language like Bangla such that prejudice results can be avoided and limitations can be handled. In the proposed work, an openly available large-scale Bangla speech corpus provided by Google has been used. The work in this paper proposes a combination of image inspired features with well explored cepstral features to build front end feature extraction phase. It uses integration of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and bi-directional Long-short Term Memory (bi-LSTM) with Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC) loss function to implement backend acoustic model. The experiments employ static and dynamic features of Mel-frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Constant Q Cepstral Coefficients (CQCC), and Gammatone Cepstral Coefficients (GTCC) techniques, one by one, with Acoustic Ternary Patterns (ATP) features. The proposed work investigates the effect of these various hybrid front-end approaches with CNN, bi-LSTM and integration of these two models. The novelty of this paper lies in the fact that fusion of ATP with cepstral features improves performance of the proposed low resource language ASR system, where the proposed combination of ATP-dynamic CQCC features with integrated backend acoustic model shows a relative improvement of 10–15% in Word Error Rate (WER) over all other experimented combinations. Further to exploit the noise robust nature of GTCC features, the ATP-dynamic GTCC features with integrated CNN-bi-LSTM back-end model are evaluated in noisy scenario, also. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-V

In today's rapidly evolving network landscape, cybersecurity has become increasingly crucial. However, wireless sensor networks face unique challenges due to their limited resources and diverse composition, high computational demands, diminished accuracy rates, making them susceptible to a wide array of cyber threats. To tackle these challenges, this research introduced a novel method known as Optimized Graph Transformer with Molecule Attention Network (OGTMAN) on the fusion of Secure Multi-party Computation (SMC) and differential privacy aimed at enhancing privacy and security. This approach starts with data preprocessing, employing min–max normalization to address dataset imbalances. N-Tuple Contrastive Learning with Generative transformer(N-TCLG)feature extractor distinguish between different classes of data instances and effectively learns representations that capture relevant information about network traffic patterns Further, feature selection by enhanced chi-square statistics with kepler algorithm, is utilized to assess the significance of each feature in characteristic between normal network behavior and malicious activities further refines the feature selection method by optimizing the selection criteria based on the statistical properties of the dataset. Finally, the proposed OGTMAN classifies various attacks based on their behavioural patterns with the help of enhanced ant aphid optimization with adaptive step factor. Ultimately, this fine-tuning yield superior model training outcomes, resulting more accurate attack classification outcomes. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, datasets encompassing with KDD Cup 99 datasets are employed. A clinical ultrasound imaging plays a significant role in the proper diagnosis of patients because, it is a cost-effective and non-invasive technique in comparison with other methods. The speckle noise contamination caused by ultrasound images during the acquisition process degrades its visual quality, which makes the diagnosis task difficult for physicians. Hence, to improve their visual quality, despeckling filters are commonly used for processing of such images. However, several disadvantages of existing despeckling filters discourage the use of existing despeckling filters to reduce the effect of speckle noise. In this paper, two dimensional cuckoo search optimization algorithm based despeckling filter is proposed for avoiding limitations of various existing despeckling filters. Proposed despeckling filter is developed by combining fast non-local means filter and 2D finite impulse response (FIR) filter with cuckoo search optimization algorithm. In the proposed despeckling filter, the coefficients of 2D FIR filter are optimized by using the cuckoo search optimization algorithm. The quantitative results comparison between the proposed despeckling filter and other existing despeckling filters are analyzed by evaluating PSNR, MSE, MAE, and SSIM values for different real ultrasound images. Results reveal that the visual quality obtained by the proposed despeckling filter is better than other existing despeckling filters. The numerical results also reveal that the proposed despeckling filter is highly effective for despeckling the clinical ultrasound images. © Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2018.

Clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) can effectively detect illnesses such as breast cancer (BC) using a variety of medical imaging techniques. BC is a key factor contributing to the rise in the death rate among women worldwide. Early detection will lessen its impact, which may motivate patients to have quick surgical therapy. computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems are designed to provide radiologists recommendations to assist them in diagnosing BC. However, it is still restricted and limited, the interpretability cost, time consumption, and complexity of architecture are not considered. These limitations limit their use in healthcare devices. Therefore, we thought of presenting a revolutionary deep learning (DL) architecture based on recurrent and convolutional neural networks called Bi-xBcNet-96. In order to decrease carbon emissions while developing the DL model for medical image analysis and meet the objectives of sustainable artificial intelligence, this study seeks to attain high accuracy at the lowest computing cost. It takes into consideration the various characteristics of the pathological variation of BC disease in mammography images to obtain high detection accuracy. It consists of six stages: identifying the region of interest, detecting spatial features, discovering the effective features of the BC pathological types that have infected nearby cells in a concentrated area, identifying the relationships between distantly infected cells in some BC pathological types, weighing the extracted features, and classifying the mammography image. According to experimental findings, Bi-xBcNet-96 beat other comparable works on the benchmark datasets, attaining a classification accuracy of 98.88% in DDSM dataset, 100% in INbreast dataset with 5.08% and 0.3% improvements over the state-of-the-art methods, respectively. Furthermore, a 95.79% reduction in computing complexity was achieved. © The Author(s) 2024.
