The voice patterns of gender and age have been used as speaker's identity and implied into sectors such as smart cards, healthcare, banking, and other security access controls. However, age, illness, and ambient noise factors exist challenging issues of voice changes in speech recognition systems to be resolved. This paper presents experiment results of observing those issues, and its goal was obtaining the elements of voice features to secure the speaker's identity. Mel-frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) was used to conduct observations on spectral centroid and bandwidth, it has effectively performed capturing features of individual speech signal. The experiment was conducted with data split into three groups: under 13, range 13 to 19, and above 19 years old for both male and female. The results showed that both gender under 13 have centroid voices reached to 98%, age of 13 to 19 remain with centroid reached 98% of bandwidth for male and passing over 100% for female, then above 19 for both genders speak lower with centroid 50% of bandwidth, and male above age of 19 remains to keep centroid about 50% and female changes to 95%. MFCC fits to expose the speech spectrum for the purpose of an analysis frame on specific local spectral properties of voices, and the finding is to form a security line or an individual profiling adoption. © 2022 IEEE.

In the digital era, the demand for quick access to goods (q-Commerce) has driven retail companies to develop online shopping applications, aiming to attract more consumers. To cater to the demands of q-Commerce, specialized mobile applications that prioritize fast delivery and user-friendly experiences are crucial. However, developing and maintaining these applications present challenges in terms of speed of development and security. This research focuses on a retail company, PT X, with a q-Commerce application serving 3.5 million active users monthly. The research aims to assess PT X's capability maturity level in application development governance using the COBIT 2019 Capability Maturity Model. Additionally, the study investigates the differences in assessment methods between COBIT 2019 and previous versions. The findings contribute to understanding in which level of capability maturity that companies can achieve in developing quick commerce applications with a large user base. Findings of this research provides an overview for PT X to initiate the necessary initial steps to comply with the good application development according to COBIT 2019 standard. This research also highlights to future researchers that COBIT 2019 is primarily a framework for enterprise-level assessment and need to be adjusted to be suitable for measurements below the enterprise level. © 2023 IEEE.

In online-based virtual worlds such as Metaverse, Online Games, and other online digital spaces, the virtual/digital goods (digital items / digital assets) are fundamental things that must be available to be able to do business & create an economy in the virtual world through monetization & transactions from these digital goods. This research focuses on summarizing and exploring the attributes used in digital goods in the virtual world by extracting attributes in digital goods from other related studies using the Systematic Literature Review methodology & PRISMA Framework comprehensively so that it can be a reference for developers in designing the properties and functions of digital goods in the virtual world that are being developed, which in this case will be in the form of an NFT in the future. Based on research that has been carried out, 3 essential metadata attributes have the most influence on transactions, number 1 Visual Design / Aesthetic (Representative), number 2 Effect (Utilities), and number 3 Statistics / Performance (Utilities) which must be considered in developing/making digital goods in the form of NFTs in the virtual world so that the value of digital goods can attract users to buy or transact them in the virtual world. © 2024 IEEE.

Supplier evaluation has a crucial role in maintaining efficiency in the food industry supply chain. Machine learning approaches can be employed to formulate models aimed at analyzing and evaluating supplier performance. Previous research has successfully designed decision tree and neural network models for assessing suppliers in the food industry with accuracies of 84.2% and 92.8% separately. Recognizing the opportunity to improve the model's performance, this study aims to advancing the machine learning models accuracy for analyzing and evaluating suppliers in the food industry. Two main models are proposed to enhance model accuracy: ensemble methods and support vector machine. This research has successfully designed a supplier evaluation model and demonstrated that the ensemble method - gradient boosting model outperforms other ensemble methods and support vector machine which is achieved a accuracy of 93.6% on a cross-validation dataset. The development of a dashboard is required to implement the supplier evaluation model using machine learning, facilitating decision-makers in evaluating and controlling supplier performance. © 2023 The Authors. Currently, Indonesia and the whole world are being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on various fields of life. It affects all sectors, including the education sector. The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture makes a policy in education in terms of the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that were initially carried out face to face become distance learning which was carried out at home. In this study, a systematic literature review is conducted on automatic assessment of essay answers. Various previous studies discuss the essay answer scoring system that has been developed using various methods. We synthesize the results to enrich our understanding of the automated essay exam scoring system. The expected result of this research is that it can contribute to further research related to the automated essay exam scoring system, especially in terms of considering methods and dataset forms. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. In the current era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer Vision take the main role and participating to the people daily activities. Face Expression became as interesting topic to be explore. Face expression recognition or detection could be applied in many aspects, such as for student focus detection based on face expression, intruder detection system, lie detection and many more. Referring the useful of face expression detection, there are also much research that focused on the methodology to detects or recognize the face expression. Several approaches are use such by using Deep Learning, Machine Learning and statistical method. This paper focused on the process to obtain and knowing the best approach or methods to recognize the face expression by using Systematic Literature Review (SLR) process. From hundreds of retrieved papers with similar interest, we do the selection based on the interest, scope, and topic similarity. The process keeps repeating until we found papers that has similarity criteria in output, dataset, subject and the methods. There are 6 papers in total that fulfil our requirements based on subject, output, result and methods. Subsequently, every research paper was deep-reviewed and compared with another to find the best approaches proposed and dataset used. © 2022 IEEE.

Evaluation of cryptocurrency's performance is performed questionably. There is no role for computer-model, make such an evaluation process does not have guidance. In this study, a simple decision support model (DSM) based on fuzzy logic was academically constructed to observe the cryptocurrency's performance. By operating the primary method of fuzzy logic and taking into account three types of parameters (i.e. time-series close price data, daily max-min price, and transaction number), a novel DSM for evaluating the cryptocurrency's performance was fruitfully executed. Based on three types of real cryptocurrency six-month data (i.e. Bitcoin Ethereum, and Dogecoin), the model could irreversibly expose that Bitcoin has the best performance with 36.39 performance points. © 2022 IEEE.

Automation testing is essential to carry out functional testing quickly and precisely. Software testing is beneficial for testers doing many testing processes according to the existing scenarios. So, there is an urgency to explore a more advanced solution to replace the traditional approach. Silk Test Workbench is a tool for automation testing that can accelerate the functional testing of complex applications. For this research, we proposed automation testing on website applications with various testing scenarios that have been made. The visual test recording method is used for automation testing with Silk Test Workbench. Silk Test Workbench can speed up testing time, make a good test asset testing scenario, make it easier for users to do testing, and speed up the process to get the result in the form of a screen capture of the testing process. A comparison of testing time has been performed. The automatic testing time with the scenarios is 2 hours 46 minutes. The automatic testing time will be 2 hours 36 minutes using the all-in-one scenario. This study also used questionnaires from colleagues in the Quality Assurance field to get maximum User Acceptance Test results. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Statistical tests of hypothesis play a crucial role in evaluating the performance of machine learning (ML) models and selecting the best model among a set of candidates. However, their effectiveness in selecting models over larger periods of time remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the impact of statistical tests on ML model selection in sequential experiments. Specifically, we examine whether selecting models based on statistical tests leads to higher quality models after a significant number of iterations and explore the effect of the number of tests performed and the preferred statistical test for different experimental time horizons. The study on binary classification problems reveals that the use of statistical tests should be approached with caution, particularly in challenging scenarios where generating improved models is difficult. The analysis demonstrates that statistical tests may impede progress and impose overly stringent acceptance criteria for new models, hindering the selection of high-quality models. The findings also indicate that the dominance of versions without statistical tests remained consistent, suggesting the need for further research in this area. Although this study is limited by the number of datasets and the absence of pre-test assumption verification, it emphasizes the importance of understanding the impact of statistical tests on ML model selection. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Students 'attendance in class is one important success parameter in face-to-face learning processes. Conventional attendance systems, such as paper-based attendance sheets or identity card systems, require a long time in the manual recapitulation process. Without additional verifications, even computer vision-based methods are prone to fraudulent practices by the students instead of gaining their excitement and attention in a class. To stimulate students' attention in a class, this work designs an intelligent class attendance system, in which facial pattern and smile recognition are implemented by using the latter as an additional task-based verification to reduce the risks of fake attendance. For the face recognition module, this pilot study used FaceNet as a feature extractor combined with SVM for classification, whereas the Haar cascade algorithm is used for recognizing smiles. This face recognition pipeline was implemented as a service installed on minicomputers or Internet of Things (IoT) devices in each classroom and connected to an IP camera. Every recorded attendance will be sent as a notification to a mobile application for students that requires their active participation to confirm it with a smiling self-photo. The proposed pipeline obtained 92.86% accuracy on the test data, and 66.67% accuracy when evaluated in a real-life simulation setting through the implemented system. The lower accuracy in the simulation indicated that further improvements are indispensable, especially since the model obtained 28.57% False Negative Rate. Future studies will need to acquire more data and experiment with more efficient methods of attendance verification. © 2023 IEEE.
