The existence of the phasor measurement units (PMU) technology provides new approach in understanding the condition of power system compared to the old technology. However, the parameters recorded by the PMU still rely on traditional installed measuring equipment. The measuring equipment has its own level of accuracy which will affect the data credibility for further analysis. Furthermore the accuracy of such data which is obtained from PMU measurement has to be known to be able to use it for future study. In this paper the field data from PMU measurements which is installed in two 500 kV substation facing one another is analyzed and compared with the results from simulation of the system to determine the accuracy of the field data. From the analysis, it can be seen that the field data taken from PMU measurements still have some error caused by the level of accuracy of measuring instruments and measurement systems used.

There are several ways to deal with security issues of confidential data sent via the internet, including using cryptographic techniques and steganography. Steganography is the science and art of concealing information / messages in a media in such a way that its existence is not detected by other parties who are not entitled to the information. Instead, cryptography disguises the meaning of a message, but does not hide that there is a message because the file looks suspicious. The Steganography technique used here was End Of File (EOF). The EOF technique described how to add data or files at the end of the image file. For this technique, the size of data or files that will be hidden could be larger than the size of the image file. The hidden data will be inserted at the end of the file so that it will not affect the image. This steganography application is also equipped with a cryptographic function Data Encryption Standard (DES) at the time of insertion of data that functions as a generator code and encrypts data, so that the security of a data in the file is more protected and protected from those who are not entitled to know the data.

Multiobjective clustering techniques have been used to simul-taneously consider several complementary aspects of cluster-ing quality. They optimize more than one cluster validity index simultaneously, leading to high-quality results, and have emerged as attractive and robust alternatives for clustering problems. This paper proposes a bee-inspired multiobjective optimization algorithm to solve data clustering problems. The algorithm was run for different datasets and the results ob-tained showed high quality clusters and diversity of solutions, whilst a suitable number of clusters was automatically deter-mined.

FRAMR-EMR: Framework for prognostic predictive model development using electronic medical record data with a case study in osteoarthritis risk

Background: Prognostic predictive models are used in the delivery of primary care to estimate a patient's risk of future disease development. Electronic medical record (EMR) data can be used for the construction of these models. Objectives: To provide a framework for those seeking to develop prognostic predictive models using EMR data, and to illustrate these steps using osteoarthritis risk estimation as an example. Methods (FRAMR-EMR): The FRAmework for Modelling Risk from EMR data (FRAMR-EMR) was created, which outlines step-by-step guidance for the construction of a prognostic predictive model using EMR data. Our framework is composed of four main steps: Scoping and Background Search;Data Preparation;Cohort Construction;and Model Building and Evaluation. Throughout these steps, several potential pitfalls specific to using EMR data for predictive purposes are described and methods for addressing them are suggested. Results (Case Study): We used the DELPHI (DELiver Primary Healthcare Information) database to develop a prognostic predictive model for estimation of osteoarthritis risk. We constructed a retrospective cohort of 28,447 eligible primary care patients. Patients were included in the cohort if they had an encounter with their primary care practitioner between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009;additionally, patients were required to have an encounter following the follow-up window to ensure patients were not lost to follow-up. Patients were excluded if they had a diagnosis of osteoarthritis prior to baseline. Construction of a prognostic predictive model following FRAMR-EMR yielded a predictive model capable of estimating 5-year risk of osteoarthritis diagnosis. Logistic regression was used to predict osteoarthritis based on age, sex, BMI, previous leg injury, and osteoporosis. Internal validation of the model's performance demonstrated good discrimination and moderate calibration. Conclusions: This study provides guidance to those interested in developing

The role of climate can be affected by plants. The weather can accelerate and multiply the existence of various plant pests and diseases, accelerate the growth and development of grass among plants, and encourage the emergence of infection and significant damage to plants. The elements of climate that affect the growth of plants are one of them is rainfall. In this paper, we performed the simulation using the non-parametric penalized spline (PSPLINE) method and studied the effect on rice production in Lampung. It can be concluded that the increasing fluctuation, frequency, and intensity of climate anomalies in the last decade caused by the ENSO phenomenon have an impact on changes in distribution patterns, intensity, and period of the wet season so that the start of the rainy season and the dry season becomes too late. As a result, there is a seasonal shift from normal average conditions that can ultimately have severe implications for food crops. In a nutshell penalized spline gives high accuracy with R 2 = 96.227% and MAPE = 1.62%.

Raman study of lattice vibrations in type II superlattice InAs/InAs1-xSbx

InAs/InAs1-xSbx superlattice system differ distinctly from two well-studied superlattice systems GaAs/AlAs and InAs/GaSb, in terms of electronic band alignment, common-element at the interface, and phonon spectrum overlapping of the constituents. This fact leads to unique electronic and vibrational properties of the InAs/InAs1-xSbx system when compared to the other two systems. In this work, we report a polarized Raman study on the vibrational properties of the InAs/InAs1-xSbx SLs as well as selected InAs1-xSbx alloys, all grown on GaSb substrates by either MBE or MOCVD, from both growth surface and cleaved edge. In the SL, from the (001) backscattering geometry, an InAs-like LO mode is observed as the primary feature and its intensity is found to increase with increasing Sb composition;from the (110) cleaved edge backscattering geometry, an InAs-like TO mode is observed as the main feature in two cross-polarization configurations, but an additional InAs-like "forbidden" LO mode was observed in two parallel-polarization configurations. InAs1-xSbx alloys lattice-matched to the substrate (xSb ~ 0.09) grown by MBE were also found to exhibit the "forbidden" LO mode, implying the existence of some unexpected [001] modulation, but the strained xSb ~ 0.35 samples grown by MOCVD were found to behavior like a disordered alloy. The primary conclusions are (1) the InAs-like LO or TO mode could be either a confined or quasi-confined mode in the InAs layers of the SL or extended mode of the whole structure, depending on the Sb composition;(2) InAs/InAsSb and InAs/GaSb SLs exhibit significantly different behaviors in the cleaved edge geometry, but qualitatively similar in the (001) geometry;and (3) the appearance of the "forbidden" LO-like mode is a universal signature for SLs and bulk systems resulting from mixing of phonon modes due to structural modulation or symmetry reduction. Interactive web application for exploring matrices of neural connectivity

We present here a browser-based application for visualizing patterns of connectivity in 3D stacked data matrices with large numbers of pairwise relations. Visualizing a connectivity matrix, looking for trends and patterns, and dynamically manipulating these values is a challenge for scientists from diverse fields, including neuroscience and genomics. In particular, high-dimensional neural data include those acquired via electroencephalography (EEG), electrocorticography (ECoG), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and functional MRI. Neural connectivity data contains multivariate attributes for each edge between different brain regions, which motivated our lightweight, open source, easy-to-use visualization tool for the exploration of these connectivity matrices to highlight connections of interest. Here we present a client-side, mobile-compatible visualization tool written entirely in HTML5/JavaScript that allows in-browser manipulation of user-defined files for exploration of brain connectivity. Visualizations can highlight different aspects of the data simultaneously across different dimensions. Input files are in JSON format, and custom Python scripts have been written to parse MATLAB or Python data files into JSON-loadable format. We demonstrate the analysis of connectivity data acquired via human ECoG recordings as a domain-specific implementation of our application. Symmetry breaking is a fundamental concept in condensed matter physics whose presence often heralds new phases of matter. For instance, the breaking of time reversal symmetry is traditionally linked to magnetic phases in a material, while the breaking of gauge symmetry can lead to superfluidity/superconductivity. Nematic phases are phases in which rotational symmetry is broken while maintaining translational symmetry, and are traditionally associated with liquid crystals. Electronic nematic states where the orthogonal in-plane crystal directions have different electronic properties have garnered a great deal of attention after their discovery in Sr3Ru2O7,1 multiple iron based superconductors,2,3 and in the superconducting state of CuBiSe.4,5 Here we demonstrate the existence of an electronic nematic phase in the two-dimensional carrier gas that forms at the (111) LaAlO3 (LAO)/SrTiO3 (STO) interface that onsets at low temperatures, and is tunable by an electric field.
