This paper addresses how to construct a RBAC-compatible attribute-based encryption (ABE) for secure cloud storage, which provides a user-friendly and easy-to-manage security mechanism without user intervention. Similar to role hierarchy in RBAC, attribute lattice introduced into ABE is used to define a seniority relation among all values of an attribute, whereby a user holding the senior attribute values acquires permissions of their juniors. Based on these notations, we present a new ABE scheme called Attribute-Based Encryption with Attribute Lattice (ABE-AL) that provides an efficient approach to implement comparison operations between attribute values on a poset derived from attribute lattice. By using bilinear groups of composite order, we propose a practical construction of ABE-AL based on forward and backward derivation functions. Compared with prior solutions, our scheme offers a compact policy representation solution, which can significantly reduce the size of privatekeys and ciphertexts. Furthermore, our solution provides a richer expressive power of access policies to facilitate flexible access control for ABE scheme. © 2013 ACM.

Object tracking is an important task within the field of computer vision. There are two key steps in video analysis: detection of interesting moving objects and tracking of such objects from frame to frame. Mean shift object tracking algorithm is a feature based algorithm. In this paper color inf.rmation of object are extracted as well as texture inf.rmation is also extracted by using local binary pattern technique to represent the object. In joint color-texture histogram region of interest is extracted and then edges and corners are extracted from the region of interest. Color histogram is insensitive to nondeformation and partial occlusion but it does not perform well when in case of color aberration. To overcome this drawback Local Binary Pattern method is used. This feature makes this algorithm more efficient in comparison of color histogram algorithm.

Ontological query answering amounts to returning the answers to a query, that are logically entailed by the union of a set of membership assertions and an ontology, where the latter is a set of logical assertions. Ontological query answering has applications, for instance, in the Semantic Web and in semantic data integration. We propose as ontology language a new description logic, called DLR±, allowing for roles of arbitrary arity and role inclusion assertions with permutation, as well as functionality assertions, which generalizes the most widely-adopted tractable ontology languages. The interaction between functionality assertions and other constructs in ontology languages has been shown to lead easily to intractability and even undecidability. The absence of such interaction is characterized by separability, a semantic property which has been studied in different contexts. With the aim of finding expressive ontology languages that are also tractable, we give a precise characterization of separable DLR± ontologies by providing a syntactic condition that is necessary and sufficient for separability. We also present an exhaustive complexity analysis of reasoning, here intended as conjunctive query answering and satisfiability checking, under separable DLR± ontologies. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

To achieve a minimal time to through the urban traffic trunk road. However, the traditional analytical algorithm can not be applied in actual traffic widely. By combining the genetic BP neural network with the traditional analytical, A novel dynamic two-direction green wave coordinate control strategy was proposed, which applied in solving the function optimization problem. Finally, the new algorithm is compared with the existing algorithms for simulation experiments, The experiment results shows that the method on convergence and optimization results were improved.

Coping with run-time uncertainty pose an ever-present threat to the fulfillment of requirements for most software systems (embedded, robotic, socio-technical, etc.). This is particularly true for large-scale, cooperative inf.rmation systems. Adaptation mechanisms constitute a general solution to this problem, consisting of a feedback loop that monitors the environment and compensates for deviating system behavior. In our research, we apply a requirements engineering perspective to the problem of designing adaptive systems, focusing on developing a qualitative software-centric, feedback loop mechanism as the architecture that operationalizes adaptivity. In this paper, we propose a framework that provides qualitative adaptation to target systems based on inf.rmation from their requirements models. The key characteristc of this framework is extensibility, allowing for it to cope with qualitative inf.rmation about the impact of control (input) variables on indicators (output variables) in different levels of precision. Our proposal is evaluated with a variant of the London Ambulance System case study. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Performance optimization and energy-saving have become major challenges for both hardware designers and software developers of mobile systems due to limited battery capacities. Analysis of the performance and power consumption in such a system and employment of energy-saving techniques as early as possible are keys to competitive products designs. With virtual platforms powered by simulation/emulation engines to help hardware designers in the early design stages for verifying the functional correctness of a hardware design or testing software applications before the hardware is ready, we propose a framework to further support hardware/software co-design with advanced performance and power analysis facilities. Our case studies and experimental results show that our framework can reflect the performance and power behavior of mobile-cloud applications and help hardware/software designers in reducing the energy consumption on these systems.

The Software defect management has become a critical issue with its increasing importance in sensor networks area. In this paper, it focuses on black box approach. Software defects can be found through model based testing. A state diagram is a good dynamic model that can test such a logical error of execution. However, the state diagram has a problem of complexity on the existing states and transitions. It is necessary to derive a state diagram in state based testing and find a method to solve its complexity problems. In order to use state diagram in software testing, its complexity has to be solved without the change of state and transition. This paper suggests a new notation called STMT (State Transition Mapping Tree) to solve the derived complexity without changing the state or transition. It also proposes an STMT automatic generation technique to derive a state diagram from a Java source code automatically. The suggested diagram can improve complexities partially, compared with UML state diagram.

In the present day scenario of mobility and objects, the field of object oriented programming is gaining momentum not only in field of gaming, programming but also in area of DBMS. The paper discusses object oriented approach for solving queries. The queries are executed and analyzed specifically on an object oriented database DB4o. The industry is moving with time from basic models of DBMS to one such DBMS discussed in this paper. Experiments have been carried out using both DB4o and MySQL for a huge airport data base. The paper also discusses two factors namely Querying methodology and Performance analysis in comparison with traditional DBMS like MySQL. The proposed approach proves that ODBMS is more efficient compared to RDBMS.

Power transmission lines are often used very inefficiently. A possible way to increase their effectiveness is the use of dynamic thermal rating, instead of the more common static rating. Dynamic thermal rating can be calculated from actual conductor load and ambient weather conditions using methodology described in IEEE Std. 738-2006. Main purpose of the presented study is to perform a sensitivity analysis of individual variables participating in dynamic thermal rating calculations. The effects of selected input variables on conductor current-carrying capacity and temperature are described as functional dependence using 2D plots. Individual parameters are then ranked according to their inf.uence on the conductor thermal state.

Service Discovery Protocols have been developed for applications to take advantages of services shared over networks. Each protocol provides a way for applications to ask for the type of services they need. In return, applications receive inf.rmation about services that could fulfill their needs. However, such protocols do not supply enough support for dynamic environments involving interaction among persons, heterogenous devices, applications and files. Unlike applications, people expect to receive customized inf.rmation about their identity, role, social relations, and even contextual variables (e.g., location). Thus, to provide a computational support that satisfies users' requirements in an accurate way, up to date inf.rmation about the current conditions of the environment and the entities involved in it is fundamental. In this paper, we tackle the lack of a descriptive technique for resource discovery by proposing a carefully designed ontological approach.
