Several peculiar spectral signatures of post-ischaemic ventricular tachycardia (VT) electrograms (EGMs) have been recently published in the scientific literature. However, despite they were claimed as potentially useful for the automatic identification of arrhythmogenic targets for the VT treatment by trans-catheter ablation, their exploitation in machine learning (ML) applications has been not assessed yet. The aim of this work is to investigate the impact of the information retrieved from these frequency-domain signatures in modelling supervised ML tools for the identification of physiological and abnormal ventricular potentials (AVPs). As such, 1504 bipolar intracardiac EGMs from nine electroanatomic mapping procedures of post-ischaemic VT patients were retrospectively labelled as AVPs or physiological by an expert electrophysiologist. In order to assess the efficacy of the proposed spectral features for AVPs recognition, two different classifiers were adopted in a 10-time 10-fold cross-validation scheme. In both classifiers, the adoption of spectral signatures led to recognition accuracy values above 81%, suggesting that the use of the frequency-domain characteristics of these signals can be successfully considered for the computer-aided recognition of AVPs in substrate-guided mapping procedures.

Westudy the leg motion for an outside pass in soccer, observing four different movement strategies. The aim of this research is to validate the presence of these four strategies by training an agent with a higher reward for kicking a faster ball. Additionally, we aim to explore the role of the collateral ligaments’ stiffness in the outside pass. We built two leg models: (a) a two-degree-of-freedom leg model that applies torque around the hip joint, and (b) a three-degree-freedom leg model that applies pitch-roll-yaw torque around the hip joint and pitch torque around the knee joint. We trained a Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) agent using these models and analyzed the torques around the hip and knee joints, as well as the ball velocity after the leg loses contact with the ball. In the design and planning of next-generation Internet of Things(IoT),telecommunication,and satellite communication systems,controller placement is crucial in software-defined networking(SDN).The programmability of the SDN controller is sophisticated for the centralized control system of the entire ***,it creates a significant loophole for the manifestation of a distributed denial of service(DDoS)attack ***,recently a Distributed Reflected Denial of Service(DRDoS)attack,an unusual DDoS attack,has been ***,minimal deliberation has given to this forthcoming single point of SDN infrastructure failure ***,recently the high frequencies of DDoS attacks have increased *** this paper,a smart algorithm for planning SDN smart backup controllers under DDoS attack scenarios has *** proposed smart algorithm can recommend single or multiple smart backup controllers in the event of DDoS *** obtained simulated results demonstrate that the validation of the proposed algorithm and the performance analysis achieved 99.99%accuracy in placing the smart backup controller under DDoS attacks within 0.125 to 46508.7 s in SDN.

This paper presents a new method to describe spatio-temporal relations between objects and hands, to recognize both interactions and activities within video demonstrations of manual tasks. The approach exploits Scene Graphs to extract key interaction features from image sequences while simultaneously encoding motion patterns and context. Additionally, the method introduces event-based automatic video segmentation and clustering, which allow for the grouping of similar events and detect if a monitored activity is executed correctly. The effectiveness of the approach was demonstrated in two multi-subject experiments, showing the ability to recognize and cluster hand-object and object-object interactions without prior knowledge of the activity, as well as matching the same activity performed by different subjects. Prior gait analysis has played a crucial role in assessing overall health and well-being, particularly in individuals of different age groups. Nevertheless, acquiring gait data has necessitated the in-person presence of participants, incurring potential expenses. We introduce a deep learning technique called Bayesian regularized backpropagation neural network (BR-BPNN) to estimate joint torques in lower-limb motion based on anthropometric data and joint movements. The study collects joint movement data from 40 healthy participants (25 males and 15 females) spanning ages 7 to 65, utilizing an established motion-capture system. The input data encompassed various parameters such as age, gender, total body mass, height, thigh length, calf length, ankle-foot length, thigh mass, calf mass, ankle mass, and joint angles for the hip, knee, and ankle. The output data included joint torques calculated for a simplified leg model using the inverse dynamics method derived from the Euler-Lagrangian principle. We presented the conceptual details of the proposed BR-BPNN model and contrast model named Levenberg-Marquardt-based BPNN (LM-BPNN). Performing a comparative analysis, the results revealed that the BR-BPNN model (R train = 0.985, R test = 0.955) excelled in accurately estimating joint torques compared to the LM-BPNN model (R train = 0.973, R test = 0.924). Furthermore, the BR-BPNN model is found to be effective by 87.19%, 77.87%, and 72.73% in estimating hip, knee, and ankle joint torques for a 51-year-old male subject from the testing dataset.

Sustainable Cloud Services for Verbal Interaction with Embodied Agents

This article presents the design and the implementation of a cloud system for knowledge-based autonomous interaction devised for Social Robots and other conversational agents. The system is particularly convenient for low-cost robots and devices: it can be used as a stand-alone dialogue system or as an integration to provide "background" dialogue capabilities to any preexisting Natural Language Processing ability that the robot may already have as part of its basic skills. By connecting to the cloud, developers are provided with a sustainable solution to manage verbal interaction through a network connection, with about 3,000 topics of conversation ready for "chit-chatting" and a library of pre-cooked plans that only needs to be grounded into the robot's physical capabilities. The system is structured as a set of REST API endpoints so that it can be easily expanded by adding new APIs to improve the capabilities of the clients connected to the cloud. Another key feature of the system is that it has been designed to make the development of its clients straightforward: in this way, multiple robots and devices can be easily endowed with the capability of autonomously interacting with the user, understanding when to perform specific actions, and exploiting all the information provided by cloud services. The article outlines and discusses the results of the experiments performed to assess the system's performance in terms of response time, paving the way for its use both for research and market solutions. The development of automatic tools to identify, characterize, and delineate abnormal ventricular potentials (AVPs) in post-ischemic ventricular tachycardia (VT) electrograms (EMGs) is still an open research issue. As a significant amount of annotated data is required for this purpose, the lack of open and annotated datasets hampers the research progress in this field. This work introduces a new open dataset that will be made available on PhysioNet by the end of 2023, which was recorded, annotated, and validated in the framework of the “Ablation Reinforcement by computeraided Guidance and Optimization: ARGO study” project. The proposed dataset comprises 2034 anonymized recordings from nine post-ischemic VT patients, including 2.5 s bipolar EGMs, unipolar EGMs, the 12-leads surface ECGs, and the electroanatomic maps (voltage and local activation time maps). The dataset annotation was carried out by three expert electrophysiologists, who categorized each bipolar EGM into the classes of Physiological, AVP, or Unknown/Undetermined, and delineated the onset and end of the AVP. The ARGO dataset represents a valuable tool to enable the effective development and benchmarking of AVP detection and delineation algorithms, their characterization, but also to encourage collaboration across the research community.
