To minimize the disturbance of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) cutterhead on the surrounding rock during the coal mine roadway excavation process and ensure that the cutterhead rotation speed achieves fast tracking performance with minimal overshoot, we propose a direct adaptive robust control method for the cutterhead rotation speed hydraulic system based on inversion design. This method considers the strong disturbances such as loads and motion affecting the cutterhead hydraulic drive system, as well as the uncertainties in the cutterhead model. We establish the nonlinear model of the cutterhead hydraulic drive system and employ virtual control to reduce the model order. Using Lyapunov functions, we ensure the stability of the entire system and derive the control law for the cutterhead rotation speed controller, along with parameter-adaptive laws acting as parameter estimators. We validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy through joint simulation using AMESim and Simulink. The results show that the designed cutterhead rotation speed controller achieves high tracking accuracy and good adaptability. © 2024 IEEE.

Space-air-ground integrated networks (SAGINs) offer seamless coverage and have emerged as a promising solution for high-speed railway (HSR) communications, which traverse various environments. This paper investigates a SAGIN architecture wherein the low earth orbit (LEO) satellite interfaces with multiple high altitude platforms (HAPs), establishing connections with high-speed trains. Operating such a mobile network requires a coordinated design of both the radio access and backhaul networks. The flows transmitted by the trains are accessed through HAPs and routed by the LEO satellite to reach the destination trains. Our objective is to maximize the number of scheduled flows while satisfying quality of service (QoS) requirements. To address this, we propose a joint transmission scheduling scheme for access and backhaul communications, facilitating multi-hop transmissions in this scenario, thereby enhancing network performance and efficiency. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms existing schemes in meeting the flow’s QoS requirements. © 1967-2012 IEEE All rights reserved.

In the dynamic realm of technology, where new advancements consistently transform our online interactions, maintaining the security of web apps is crucial. This study explores the area of web security by investigating Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in great detail. We untangle the complexities of CSRF attacks and highlight their possible risks and implications by using advanced simulations in a controlled environment. To carefully and correctly mimic CSRF attacks, the process entails creating a legitimate web application along with a malicious counterpart. The study carefully assesses the effectiveness of custom headers, SameSite cookie characteristics, and anti-CSRF tokens as defense strategies. In addition to its technological focus, the research emphasizes participant involvement’s ethical implications and stresses the significance of user safety. The results provide practical advice for developers and security experts to strengthen web apps in addition to furthering our theoretical understanding of CSRF issues. We show why there is a need for strong security measures to be put in place as soon as possible, acknowledge the ever-changing nature of cyber threats, and call for ongoing research to keep ahead of the curve in terms of protecting digital ecosystems. In conclusion, this study is an invaluable tool for understanding and resolving the urgent problems caused by CSRF vulnerabilities, demonstrating its importance in strengthening the security framework of our globalized digital society.

In recent years the use of wearable sensors has proved to be valid tools in the field of livestock farming. They have played a crucial role in the automation and evolution of animal health and welfare monitoring processes, especially in the case of extensive farms where there is an infrequent farmer-to-animal contact. Accelerometers allow the measurements of movements of a body in space and are currently very popular sensors in the zootechnical field for monitoring livestock as they can be worn without being invasive for animals. Therefore, the aim of this research activity was to prove the feasibility of using acceleration thresholds for the automatic detection of grazing cow behavioural activities. In this study, a customized electronic device equipped with a triaxial accelerometer was built and placed in a collar of a grazing cow. The accelerometer data acquired at 4 Hz from the device were sent to a cloud server one time an hour. Then they were subsequently analysed to be able to establish thresholds for the discrimination of cow behaviours. As stated in previous studies, algorithms based on statistically defined acceleration thresholds could be easily implemented in a firmware for real-time detection of cow behaviour, therefore, they could be a valuable low-cost tool for monitoring livestock in extensive farms. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The present study discusses the development of a digital repository (ANTETI) for the preservation and dissemination of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of Zakynthos Island. The platform is based on a popular Content Management System (CMS) to provide the core functionality, extended with the use of the CMS’s API, to provide additional personalisation functionality for the end-users. Additionally, the system features a web application, oriented mainly on users visiting the island of Zakynthos and developed exclusively with open web technologies and JavaScript frameworks. The web application is an alternative, map-centered, mobile optimised front-end, for the platform’s content featured in the CMS. The system also provides a RESTful API, allowing integration with 3 rd party systems and web applications, thereby expanding the repository's reach and capabilities. Content delivery is personalized based on user profiles, location, and preferences, enhancing engagement and usability. By integrating these features, the repository effectively preserves and makes accessible the unique cultural and natural heritage of Zakynthos to both local and global audiences.

In the present era, cyberbullying on social media has developed into a complicated issue. In Ethiopia, cyberbullying involving sexual content material has become a prevalent issue in recent times. Because the content material on social media is unstructured, cyberbullying that is just motivated by sexual texts on the platform can be a laborious and complicated process. The difficulty of finding sexual texts on public media has raised in recent years, leading some experts to focus their attention on the detection of cyberbullying. Because deep learning algorithms do greatly on tasks involving natural language processing, several academics have suggested using these models to detect cyberbullying. Additionally, the majority of research on this challenge count number has focused on socio-political context, handicap, religion, and ethnicity. As a remedy, this observer suggested a thorough investigation of cyberbullying detection for Amharic sexual writing on social media. To create models, a binary Amharic sexual dataset is paired with a sexual dataset trained from collected Amharic content from the Facebook platform. "Bullying"and "Non-bullying"are the binary classes that make up the prepared dataset. Because the W2Vec model works well for describing non-unusual place key phrases in constrained period datasets, it is mostly based on a Skip-gram model. Furthermore, GRU and LSTM networks are used for model comparison, while the Bi-RNN and Attention Mechanism models are employed for classification. Trends in the application of N-fold cross-validation are understood. N-fold cross-validation on our dataset yields very good universal overall performance, according to the results. © 2024 The Authors. Published by ELSEVIER B.V.

Abstract: In our digital age, security breaches brought on by malicious software (malware) attacks are on the rise and pose a serious security risk. Due to the exponential rise in malware attacks, which has had a negative impact on many computer users, businesses, and governments, malware detection is still a popular research area. Increased use of machine learning and artificial intelligence for malware detection. These systems can learn from patterns and anomalies, improving their ability to detect new and sophisticated malware strains. The static and dynamic analysis of malware signatures and behavior patterns used by current malware detection tools is time-consuming and has shown to be unsuccessful at detecting unknown infections. Modern malware uses polymorphic, metamorphic, and other evasive strategies to swiftly change malware behavior and produce a lot of new infections. Machine learning algorithms (MLAs) are now frequently used to analyze malware effectively because these new malwares are typically versions of previous malwares. However, these methods take a lot of time because they require intensive feature engineering, learning, and representation, the feature engineering stage can be entirely skipped by employing the more sophisticated MLAs, like deep learning recently disclosed works in this area demonstrate how their algorithms perform when given biased training data, which restricts their usefulness in urgent circumstances. Keep in mind that the landscape of cybersecurity is dynamic, and new innovations and challenges are likely to have emerged since my last update. It's essential to stay informed about the latest developments in malware detection to effectively protect against evolving threats. There is a strong case for evaluating these to reduce bias approaches separately to create a new, improved technique for efficient zero-day virus detection. This study introduces the design of a gap waveguide-based rotary antenna capable of 360° mechanical beam-steering for wideband mmWave applications. This innovative design overcomes the typical limitations of electronically steerable antennas, such as narrow bandwidth, restricted steering range, gain reduction, and high cost and complexity. The designed rotary antenna achieves a gain of 13.8 dBi without any scan loss across the entire 360° steering range from 45 to 60 GHz. The proposed rotary antenna is a promising candidate for a variety of mmWave mechanical beam scanning systems.

Accurate clinical cancer prediction is important for clinical diagnosis. Most of the cancer patient data have high privacy and using clinical patient data directly may create concerns such as privacy leakage, which can be solved by replacing real data with synthetic data for clinical trial modelling. Synthetic data can also fill in the missing, unbalanced clinical datasets. Data augmentation can achieve data synthesis. However, traditional data augmentation models are mostly based on convolutional neural network architectures, which can only capture local dependencies and do not well describe the feature-related information of patients over long survival times. In this paper, we propose a self-attention medical tabular data augmentation model with privacy protection, ACCT-GAN, based on the generative adversarial network model, which uses the AC block generated by combining the ACmix model to reconstruct the discriminator model in the CTAB-GAN+ network, which can effectively solve the limitations of the original convolutional neural network, model the global relationship, and make the generated data retain the feature correlation between the original data better correlations between the original data. Meanwhile, taking into account the privacy of medical data, the DP-SGD algorithm of CTAB-GAN+ is optimised to reduce the privacy risk of synthetic data. The results show that ACCT-GAN synthesizes privacy-preserving data with at least 26.21% higher utility across the dateset of nasopharyngeal cancer patients provided by Xiangya Medical College and learning tasks under different privacy budgets, demonstrating the usability, high quality, and better privacy preservation of the generated data, validating the effectiveness of this paper's method, and confirming the potential of this paper's method for cancer datasets. © 2024 IEEE.
