Existing deep learning-based point cloud denoising methods are generally trained in a supervised manner that requires clean data as ground-truth ***,in practice,it is not always feasible to obtain clean point *** this paper,we introduce a novel unsupervised point cloud denoising method that eliminates the need to use clean point clouds as groundtruth labels during *** demonstrate that it is feasible for neural networks to only take noisy point clouds as input,and learn to approximate and restore their clean *** particular,we generate two noise levels for the original point clouds,requiring the second noise level to be twice the amount of the first noise *** this,we can deduce the relationship between the displacement information that recovers the clean surfaces across the two levels of noise,and thus learn the displacement of each noisy point in order to recover the corresponding clean *** experiments demonstrate that our method achieves outstanding denoising results across various datasets with synthetic and real-world noise,obtaining better performance than previous unsupervised methods and competitive performance to current supervised methods.

Hybrid energy efficient deep learning and redactable consortium blockchain-based secure framework for smart parking in smart cities

Management of vehicular parking in the crowded environment is the indispensable requirement for the smart city scenario. The advent and potential development of information Communication Technologies (ICT) and Internet of things (IoT) helped in proper thinking, operation and planning of parking management in smart city environment. But they suffer from the issue of privacy, security, integrity, energy efficiency, communication bandwidth and centralization. In this paper, Hybrid Deep learning and Redactable consortium blockchain-based Secure Framework (HDLRCBSF) is proposed for achieving the objective of energy-efficient smart parking in smart cities. This HDLRCBSF adopted the merits of Deep Bi-LSTM network for exploring the data associated with parking zones, such that optimal parking zones can be potentially allocated to the drivers with the ideal timing and location. It used the Redactable consortium blockchain network using Road Side Units (RSUs) which helped in attaining data verification and authentication at the security layer. It also implemented Threshold Chameleon Hash (TCH) algorithm for the objective of encrypting and decrypting the data related to the parking zones to establish secure communication. It adopted the significance of Deep Auto Regression Feature Augmented Bi-LSTM Networks in the analysis layer for exploring the cloud data that provides optimal parking lot to the drivers depending on the requirements that include cost, distance, and time. The quantitative and qualitative investigation conducted on the proposed HDLRCBSF confirmed its efficacy in terms of best parking space allocation rate of 21.32%, better than the baseline approaches that offered to the drivers with maximized privacy and security. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

MCFusion: Frequency Domain Characteristics Enhancement and Feature Compensation Fusion Network for RGB-T Object Detection

The multi-modal object detection technology based on visible-thermal vision sensors has drawn significant attention as it is capable of achieving reliable object detection in complex scenes with challenging lighting conditions such as low light or backlight. However, there has been a lack of focus on the frequency domain feature information of the visible and thermal modalities themselves, as well as the complementarity of cross-modal features. Furthermore, current visible and thermal feature fusion methods only utilize feature information from the current layer, neglecting context information. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel network framework for enhancing frequency domain Characteristics and fusing cross-layer and cross-modal features to compensate for these limitations. This framework introduces two key modules: the Frequency Domain Characteristics Enhancement (FCE) module and the Cross-Layer and Cross-Modal Feature Compensation Fusion (CCF) module. The FCE module consists of two sub-modules. Reduce high-frequency information loss(FCE-RHFL) module operates on the visible modality to reduce high-frequency information loss, utilizing methods such as high-frequency masking and frequency recombination. Meanwhile, Enhance high-frequency information representation(FCE-EHFR) module enhances high-frequency information representation for the thermal modality through convolutions with different kernels and frequency domain enhancement techniques. In the CCF module, cross-modal and cross-layer feature compensation methods are employed to compensate for differences in modalities, followed by capture complementary information across modalities using a query-guided cross-attention mechanism. Finally, we conduct experimental comparisons on the KAIST and FLIR datasets, and the experimental results demonstrate that our method has excellent performance and robust detection results. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Differential Evolution (DE) is a potent stochastic evolutionary optimization algorithm garnering increasing research attention. Over the years, it has been found applicable in solving diverse real-world problems. DE employs mutation, crossover, and selection operators to guide populations toward optimal or nearly optimal solutions. However, the standard DE mutation strategies have found limitations in balancing exploration and exploitation effectively, thus prompting research into possible improvements. This study introduces a novel mutation strategy named Chebyshev Infused Chaos Mutation Strategy (CICMS). where a chaotic sequence partially guides the process of donor vector generation. Rigorous evaluations were conducted, comparing our modified DE against the standard DE and seven other metaheuristic algorithms, including Genetic Algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm. Experiments were performed using the challenging CEC 2014 benchmark functions, consisting of 30 objective functions. Results indicate substantial improvements in convergence speed and solution quality, highlighting the potential of our novel mutation strategy to enhance DE’s practicality in addressing complex optimization problems. This research contributes valuable insights to the dynamic field of optimization algorithms with implications for a wide range of applications. © 2024, Taiwan Ubiquitous information CO LTD. Background: Cloud services have become a popular approach for offering efficient services for a wide range of activities. Predicting hardware failures in a cloud data center can minimize downtime and make the system more reliable and fault-tolerant. Objective: This research aims to analyze a predictive hardware failure model based on machine learning that anticipates the required remediations for undiagnosed failures in a cloud computing system serving multiclass requests. Methods: The model is tested on a carefully designed cloud data center that categorizes incoming requests as web, compute, storage, and dedicated server requests. To demonstrate improved reliability, a carefully designed test case is run on ReliaCloud-NS, which is a simulator for creating a CCS and computing its reliability. Results: The work found that using this model considerably enhanced the reliability of cloud computing systems when compared to not using the model. Conclusion: Although various estimation methods are patented to evaluate the system reliability of a cloud computing network, the emphasis of this study was mostly on improving the reliability of request-segregated clouds upon failing hardware resources like CPU, memory, bandwidth, and hard disc. Moreover, the prediction model might potentially be expanded to other system resources such as GPUs, software, and database packages. © 2025 Bentham Science Publishers.

A deep learning-based early alzheimer’s disease detection using magnetic resonance images

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a degenerative, chronic condition of the brain for which there is now no effective treatment. However, there are medications that can slow its development. In order to stop and control the development of AD, earlier diagnosis of the disease is quintessential. Our proposed method’s primary objective is to establish a comprehensive model for the prior detection of Alzheimer’s disease and the categorization of distinct AD stages. This work employs a deep learning methodology, especially CNN. The proposed approach makes use of well-known models that have already been trained to classify medical images, like the EfficentNetB7 model, by applying the transfer learning principle. In order to achieve greater accuracy, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are frequently scaled up as new resources become available at a fixed cost throughout the construction phase. A compound coefficient is used by the CNN architecture and scaling approach, which is the foundation of the pre-trained EfficientNetB7 model, to scale the dimensions equally. This proposed EfficientNetB7 model is quicker, easier, and more effective than other pre-trained models like VGG19 and InceptionV3. The proposed model includes simple structures that have memory requirements, provide manageable time, overfitting, and low computational complexity as well as training and inference speeds. The Alzheimer’s disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset was employed for a comprehensive assessment of the method proposed, utilizing well-known performance metrics including sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. The findings revealed that the improvised results achieved the accuracy metric when compared to existing methods. The EfficientNetB7 model has been enhanced, and this model achieves a sensitivity of 98.08%, specificity-98%, accuracy-98.2%, and F-score-98.95%, for multi-class AD stage classifications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, par

This systematic review gave special attention to diabetes and the advancements in food and nutrition needed to prevent or manage diabetes in all its forms. There are two main forms of diabetes mellitus: Type 1 (T1D) and Type 2 (T2D). The loss of beta cells brought on by an autoimmune reaction causes the pancreas to be unable to produce enough insulin, which leads to Type 1 diabetes. A deficiency of insulin could arise as the illness worsens. The most frequent cause is a combination of excessive body weight and inadequate exercise. Currently, 90–95% of patients have Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Age-specific normal blood sugar ranges exist and knowing them is crucial for determining a target blood sugar level that is both healthy and appropriate. The main takeaway is that diet regimens ought to be tailored to the patient’s requirements and should account for their capacity for change. Carbohydrates are the nutrients that have the biggest impact on the rise in blood glucose. In this paper, we have proposed a novel method for glucose monitoring and diet recommendations for diabetic patients using fog computing. A paradigm known as fog computing makes use of the benefits that come from using both cloud and edge devices to support modern computing systems by offering high-quality services, cutting latency, facilitating mobility, supporting multi-tenancy, and many other features. © 2025 by Begell House, Inc.
