MAPFUNet:Multi-attention Perception-Fusion U-Netfor Liver Tumor Segmentation

The second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally is liver *** treatment of liver cancers depends heavily on the accurate segmentation of liver tumors from CT *** improved method based on U-Net has achieved good perfor-mance for liver tumor segmentation,but these methods can still be *** deal with the problems of poor performance from the original U-Net framework in the segmentation of small-sized liver tumors and the position information of tumors that is seriously lost in the down-sampling process,we propose the Multi-attention Perception-fusion U-Net(MAPFU-Net).We propose the Position ResBlock(PResBlock)in the encoder stage to promote the feature extraction capability of MAPFUNet while retaining the position information regarding liver tumors.A Dual-branch Attention Module(DWAM)is proposed in the skip connections,which narrows the semantic gap between the encoder's and decoder's features and enables the network to utilize the encoder's multi-stage and multi-scale *** propose the Channel-wise ASPP with Atten-tion(CAA)module at the bottleneck,which can be combined with multi-scale features and contributes to the recovery of micro-tumor feature ***,we evaluated MAPFUNet on the LITS2017 dataset and the 3DIRCADB-01 dataset,with Dice values of 85.81 and 83.84%for liver tumor segmentation,which were 2.89 and 7.89%higher than the baseline model,*** experiment results show that MAPFUNet is superior to other networks with better tumor feature representation and higher accuracy of liver tumor *** also extended MAPFUNet to brain tumor segmentation on the BraTS2019 *** results indicate that MAPFUNet performs well on the brain tumor segmentation task,and its Dice values on the three tumor regions are 83.27%(WT),84.77%(TC),and 76.98%(ET),respectively.

Patients who have an increased likelihood of coronary heart disease can reduce their consequences by changing their lifestyle, with the support of early diagnosis. Healthcare expenses are rising above, both company budgets and the average cost of medical treatment nationally, due to asymptomatic conditions like cardiovascular disorders. Early detection and treatment of these illnesses are essential. Utilizing the data that is accessible in healthcare systems has been significantly impacted by recent technological advancements. As part of this, patients' Heart Disease (HD) may be predicted using the massive amount of data. However, due to concerns with prediction and diagnosis performance and accuracy, projecting HD has emerged as one of the main obstacles facing the healthcare sector. The main challenges were to apply homogeneous data mining techniques to define the most significant causes of heart disease and to accurately predict the overall risk. Using Data Analytics (DA) to speed up the prediction process is one way to make use of massive amounts of health care data. Selecting the optimal analytical methods, however, is the most crucial step as it will impact the final result of the diagnostic and forecasting. In order to assess the effectiveness of the methods for HD forecasting, this study intends to implement DA approach in collecting of databases. In this research work, Best First Search (BFS) has been used to identify the most important attributes for HD prediction. This study employs a range of ML approaches based on AI to predict HD. The Random Forest (RF) method, which uses specific characteristics, has the highest accuracy rate (98.63%) in this experiment. The BFS extracted 14 relevant features and then compared them using AI approaches. Based on the analysis, feature selection has enhanced the DA technique by improving the efficiency and precision of the classification model's prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

—Autoimmune diseases affect people of all ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds, making it one of the most widespread health issues we face today. These disorders occur when the immune system mistakenly targets healthy cells within the body and causing a wide range of potentially life-threatening diseases. There are over 80 recognized autoimmune disorders, including type-1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, Graves' disease, alopecia, celiac disease, and autoimmune liver disease(AiLD). Autoimmune liver disease is one such chronic disorder characterized by liver inflammation and damage. If not detected on time and untreated within the given time, it might lead to liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. Identifying and treating autoimmune liver disease is a complex and time consuming process which involves symptom analysis, laboratory tests, and clinical assessments. Detecting the disease can be more challenging because many symptoms of autoimmune liver diseases overlap with those of other autoimmune conditions. As a result, there is a need for an optimized, accurate, efficient, and cost-effective methodology to identify the disease without extensive and invasive procedures such as organ transplants. This paper introduces an innovative approach that employs the power of supervised machine learning and deep learning techniques to predict the onset of autoimmune liver diseases in advance. The machine learning model is constructed using a comprehensive dataset comprising the complete medical history of patients, physical examination records, histopathology and genetic data. Along with the machine learning model, the deep learning model is also developed for liver MRI images of various patients to make accurate prediction. This system provides a second opinion for medical professionals that may avoid the need for extensive and invasive medical procedures, including biopsies, and ultimately improve patient care and outcomes. ©2024 IEEE.
