As an emerging weakly supervised learning framework, partial label learning aims to induce a multi-class classifier from ambiguous supervision information where each training example is associated with a set of candidate labels, among which only one is the true label. Traditional feature selection methods, either for single label and multiple label problems, are not applicable to partial label learning as the ambiguous information contained in the label space obfuscates the importance of features and misleads the selection process. This makes the selection of a proper feature subset from partial label examples particularly challenging, and therefore has rarely been investigated. In this paper, we propose a novel feature selection algorithm for partial label learning, named PLFS, which considers not only the relationships between features and labels, but also exploits the relationships between instances to select the most informative and important features to enhance the performance of partial label learning. PLFS constructs an adaptive weighted graph to exploit the similarity information among instances, differentiate the label space and weight the feature space, which leads to the selection of a proper feature subset. Extensive experiments over a broad range of benchmark data sets clearly validate the effectiveness of our proposed feature selection approach.

Many Computer-Generated (CG) images are spreading widely on the Internet, which may deliberately misinform or deceive the public. Therefore, distinguishing CG images from natural photographic (PG) has become a frontier research topic in the field of image forensics. Although many algorithms have been proposed, it is still very challenging to detect CG images generated by the recent cutting-edge generative methods. Besides, most existing algorithms tend to generalize poorly when facing different unseen multimodal generative models. To address this issue, a novel method based on amplified texture differences learning is proposed to tackle this problem. We first design a deep texture enhancement module for discriminative texture amplification. Specifically, a semantic segmentation module is utilized to generate semantic segmentation map for the affine transformation operation guidance, which can be further used to recover the texture in different regions of the input image. Then, the combination of the original image and the high-frequency components of the original and enhanced images are fed into a hybrid neural network equipped with attention mechanisms, which refines intermediate features and facilitates trace exploration in spatial and channel dimensions respectively. By verifying on several commonly used benchmark datasets and a newly constructed dataset11The benchmark is available at https://***/191578010/DSGCG. with more realistic and diverse images, the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms some existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Urban heat island (UHI) effects, especially in highly urbanised areas, and greenhouse gas emissions from human activity are two elements that accelerate global climate change (GCC). Sustainable city planning and modification may benefit from the quantification of the surface UHI (SUHI) effect utilising land surface temperature (LST), local climate zones (LCZ), and deep learning methods like convolutional neural networks (CNN) and pix2pix. The findings show that socioeconomic variables account for 12–20% of variability in UHI intensity. In general, the contribution rate of urban economic scale is higher than that of population and industrial structure variables. The increase in urban economic expansion increased summertime heat discomfort. This research propose novel method in socioeconomic analysis based on urban heat pattern analysis with public healthcare system using decision-making with DL (deep learning) model. Input is collected as urban heat pattern dataset and processed for noise removal and normalisation. This data has been features are extracted and classified using convolutional fuzzy Q-Gaussian neural network and variational K-C-means regressive learning. The simulation analysis has been carried out based on training accuracy, average precision, recall, and F-measure. The proposed model attained average precision was 94%, recall was 90%, training accuracy was 97%, and F1-score was 92%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a Smart Cane for the visually impaired individuals, incorporating several sensors and features to improve their mobility and safety. The device includes an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle detection, an MPU-6050 device for detecting falls and tilts, a GPS module for navigation, an RTC module for medicine reminders, and a fitness tracking module for monitoring health parameters. Additionally, a Bluetooth headset with a microphone is provided to communicate with the voice assistant in noisy areas. The Smart Cane triggers a buzzer for help and sends a notification to the caretaker in case of a fall or crash. The device is powered by a LIPO battery and is designed to improve the quality of life of visually impaired individuals by providing them with enhanced mobility and safety features. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the greatest threats posed by progress around the world is cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Each year, CVD accounts for the vast majority of deaths worldwide. The vast majority of people who die from CVD do so suddenly, and their families have no hope of getting them medical help in time. Because of this, there is a pressing need for a real-time, intelligent system that can keep tabs on cardiac patients round the clock. Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled systems are a viable choice for real-time data monitoring. Internet-based smart healthcare has several potential uses, including monitoring physiological data, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), heart rates (HRs), blood pressures (BPs), and more. IoT-based smart healthcare paradigms present significant issues, not the least of which is selecting the suitable model. This research proposes a heart rate sensor and a sophisticated hybrid classification algorithm as components of an IoT-based electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring system. The goal of this study is to aid in the development of an automated key for social happiness by creating an intelligent hybrid classification model that can handle the class imbalance problem with more precision. No matter what validation criterion was used (twofold, fivefold, or tenfold cross-validation), the results of the empirical evaluation showed that the proposed hybrid model achieved better outcomes than the additional ingrained classification models in terms of accuracy and efficiency for both classes. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Dimensionality is an important aspect for analyzing and understanding (high-dimensional) data. In their 2006 ICDM paper Tatti et al. answered the question for a (interpretable) dimension of binary data tables by introducing a normalized correlation dimension. In the present work we revisit their results and contrast them with a concept based notion of intrinsic dimension (ID) recently introduced for geometric data sets. To do this, we present a novel approximation for this ID that is based on computing concepts only up to a certain support value. Internet of Things(IoT)and blockchain receive significant interest owing to their applicability in different application areas such as healthcare,finance,transportation,*** image security and privacy become a critical part of the healthcare sector where digital images and related patient details are communicated over the public *** paper presents a new wind driven optimization algorithm based medical image encryption(WDOA-MIE)technique for blockchain enabled IoT *** WDOA-MIE model involves three major processes namely data collection,image encryption,optimal key generation,and data ***,the medical images were captured from the patient using IoT ***,the captured images are encrypted using signcryption *** addition,for improving the performance of the signcryption technique,the optimal key generation procedure was applied by WDOA *** goal of the WDOA-MIE algorithm is to derive a fitness function dependent upon peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR).Upon successful encryption of images,the IoT devices transmit to the closest server for storing it in the blockchain *** performance of the presented method was analyzed utilizing the benchmark medical image *** security and the performance analysis determine that the presented technique offers better security with maximum PSNR of 60.7036 dB.

Digital media are a means to deliver products and services, but also a channel to interact with consumers and a source of information on users' preferences. data shared by customers on the web, the User-Generated Content (UGC), can give entrepreneurs a detailed perspective of the market. This work examines an application of Natural Language Processing techniques on UGC to discover insights on users' opinions. We collected more than 13.000 reviews of software from digital stores and review website to gather information on the customers' perspective and their response to a given marketing strategy in two case studies on digital product's launch. The objective is to give support to two Italian companies in the process of business model development through data-driven evidence. We aim to discover who are the users and which are their needs using a lexicon-based approach to mine unstructured text. The results provide qualitative and quantitative descriptions of the market segments. We propose a method to examine UGC and to explore customers' behavior on social media. The findings helped managers for the development of their business model, enhancing an informed decision-making process. © The Author(s), 2023. Published by Cambridge University Press.

With the proliferation of data-intensive industrial applications, the collaboration of computing powers among standalone edge servers is vital to provision such services for smart devices. In this paper, we propose an edge-driven industrial computing power network (CPN) by orchestrating the computing and network resources of edge servers through the centralized resource scheduling and decentralized task computing. However, efficient task offloading and collaborative processing is challenging, which requires higher degrees of network automation and intelligence. Therefore, we incorporate digital twins (DTs) into the edge-driven CPN architecture, where the DTs are created as the digital replicas to assist both the computation offloading and collaborative processing. A joint optimization problem of the computing power assignment, service association, task partition, and transmit power control is formulated for maximizing the system average weighted utility. Due to the temporal-spatial variability of tasks and the resulted dynamic environment, we transform the original problem as a Markov decision process aiming at maximizing the long-term average weighted utility. To efficiently handle the high-dimensional discrete-continuous action space, a hybrid soft actor-critic based deep reinforcement learning algorithm is developed for optimizing the joint design. Simulation results validate the superiority of our proposed algorithm over the benchmarks, showing the significant gains obtained by integrating DTs into the edge-driven CPN. © 1967-2012 IEEE.
