This article is devoted to the actual topic of studying scenarios for adapting a network infrastructure to a network of remote patient monitoring systems (PCMS). The paper presents an overview and analysis of scenarios for adapting the network infrastructure of monitoring systems. The stages of scenario execution have been studied and simulation models of the RPMS network infrastructure have been developed that implement various adaptation scenarios. A comparative analysis of adaptation scenarios was carried out according to several criteria, such as the speed of request delivery, delivery time, and network load. Simulation models built in the Anylogic environment, a powerful simulator of mass service system, showed the effectiveness of the mesh topology in relation to the ad-hoc topology according to several criteria. The theoretical significance of the work lies in carrying out analytical work on scenarios for adapting the network infrastructure of the RPMS, as well as in studying the network architecture. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of a simulation model that allows you to explore scenarios for adapting the network architecture. © 2022 IEEE.

Eating food is important for not only physical health but also, mental health. meals are essential for maintaining and improving health moreover right amount of nutrients also essential for preventing and treating disease. The sufficient meal provides spiritual enrichment and contributes to communication. However, planning a satisfying menu may be a burden when time is limited. Streamline Intelligent Crowd Monitoring with IoT Cloud Computing Middleware

This article introduces a novel middleware that utilizes cost-effective, low-power computing devices like Raspberry Pi to analyze data from wireless sensor networks (WSNs). It is designed for indoor settings like historical buildings and museums, tracking visitors and identifying points of interest. It serves as an evacuation aid by monitoring occupancy and gauging the popularity of specific areas, subjects, or art exhibitions. The middleware employs a basic form of the MapReduce algorithm to gather WSN data and distribute it across available computer nodes. data collected by RFID sensors on visitor badges is stored on mini-computers placed in exhibition rooms and then transmitted to a remote database after a preset time frame. Utilizing MapReduce for data analysis and a leader election algorithm for fault tolerance, this middleware showcases its viability through metrics, demonstrating applications like swift prototyping and accurate validation of findings. Despite using simpler hardware, its performance matches resource-intensive methods involving audiovisual and AI techniques. This design’s innovation lies in its fault-tolerant, distributed setup using budget-friendly, low-power devices rather than resource-heavy hardware or methods. Successfully tested at a historical building in Greece (M. Hatzidakis’ residence), it is tailored for indoor spaces. This paper compares its algorithmic application layer with other implementations, highlighting its technical strengths and advantages. Particularly relevant in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and general monitoring middleware for indoor locations, this middleware holds promise in tracking visitor counts and overall building occupancy. © 2024, CC BY.

Satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks have become the hot topic these years, which have been regarded as the major part of the intelligence of things for future networks. During this work, we investigate the secrecy performance for rate-splitting multiple access-assisted satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks. Besides, imperfect hardware and channel estimation errors are considered in the secrecy networks. Moreover, to enhance the energy utilization efficiency, rate-splitting multiple access scheme is utilized into the considered network, which is prior to that of the non-orthogonal multiple access scheme. What's more, to enhance the satellite transmission, multiple high aerial platforms are used to forward the transmission along with multiple eavesdroppers. In addition, the direct transmission link is not considered in the secrecy networks due to the heavy fading and obstacles. Relied on the former considerations, the exact and asymptotic analysis for the secrecy performance is further obtained to confirm the rightness of the analysis. Finally, some representative Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to validate the obtained results. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Point clouds from real-world scenarios inevitably contain complex noise, significantly impairing the accuracy of downstream tasks. To tackle this challenge, cascading encoder-decoder architecture has become a conventional technical route to iterative denoise. However, circularly feeding the output of denoiser as its input again involves the re-extraction of underlying surface, leading to unstable denoising process and over-smoothed geometric details. To address these issues, we propose a novel denoising paradigm dubbed PD-Refiner that employs a single encoder to model the underlying surface. Then, we leverage several lightweight hierarchical Underlying Surface Inheritance Refiners (USIRs) to inherit and strengthen it, thereby avoiding the re-extraction from the intermediate point cloud. Furthermore, we design adaptive edge-aware supervision to improve the edge awareness of the USIRs, allowing for the adjustment of the denoising preferences from global structure to local details. The results demonstrate that our method not only achieves state-of-the-art performance in terms of denoising stability and efficacy, but also enhances edge clarity and point cloud uniformity. © 2024 ACM.

In today's world, a huge amount of data and information is transferred through wireless networks. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a complex network that consists of diverse sensors, devices, and things, which often have limited resources and are susceptible to various security threats, including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. These networks are vulnerable to a variety of cyber threats and privacy issues. Intrusions are harmful activities that can damage a network. IoT networks are particularly vulnerable to security threats. The Bi-Layer Intrusion Detection Model (BIDM) identifies intrusions based on the optimal features selected in the Optimal Feature Vector Selection (OFVS) phase. This scheme not only prevents attacks, but also serves as a defense against legitimate threats. The proposed technique was evaluated using the KDD CUP 99 dataset, a well-known Intrusion Detection System (IDS) benchmark. The performance of the proposed scheme was further analyzed using the NSL-KDD and CICIDS-2017 datasets. The performance of OFVS was also investigated using the relatively new IoT Network Intrusion dataset. The implementation was carried out in Jupyter Notebook using the Python programming language. Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy were some of the packages used in the implementation. The proposed framework achieved high accuracy rates, with NB at 97.4%, SVM at 96.1%, and DT at 98.1%. By utilizing this approach, the security of IoT networks can be significantly enhanced, and the risks associated with DDoS attacks can be mitigated. © 2023 IEEE.
