Parkinson's disease (PD) profoundly impacts millions in Sri Lanka, emphasizing the importance of early detection for better patient outcomes. We introduce 'NeuraTrace PD,' an innovative application for early PD screening, combining brain MRI, hand-drawn image analysis, facial expression assessment, and voice analysis. For brain MRI analysis, we employed a Graph Convolutional Network (GCN), achieving an impressive accuracy of 91% and identifying distinct graph connectivity patterns using graph theory. We also use a deep Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to reach 90% accuracy in analyzing hand-drawn images, while optimizing image resolution for efficiency and information retention. Facial expression analysis is a vital component, leveraging CNN and Constrained Local Models (CLM) to accurately extract Facial Action Units (FAUs), which contribute to a remarkable 95% accuracy using the XGBoost machine learning model. We introduce a Machine Learning (ML) algorithm and advanced signal processing to enhance voice feature analysis, offering a thorough understanding and classification of PD patients. It reaches 99% accuracy. In summary, our approach holds significant promise for advancing early PD diagnosis, ultimately improving the quality of life for those affected by this challenging condition. © 2023 IEEE.

Images for social media are an essential component of any blog or social media post. As we now live in the age of the ‘camera in everyone’s pocket’, a new dynamic era of image creation and content has emerged. However, people use media due to specific motives or gratifications that lead to their satisfaction of social media use. This research study utilized uses and gratification theory (UGT), a sociology theory related to the motives of people using the media. The UGT factors include enjoyment, entertainment, social influence, social interaction, and information sharing. There were 441 data that were collected and analysed. IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and Smart PLS 3.3.3 were used for the data analysis. Result showed that information sharing was the most influencing factors on users’ satisfaction to use image in social media. Therefore, the factors identified in these studies could be used as a guideline and references in future study related to social media awareness and implications. © 2022. Innovative grid technology leverages information and Communication technology (ICT) to enhance energy efficiency and mitigate losses. This paper introduces a 'novel three-tier hierarchical framework for smart homes within the Internet of Things (IoT)' ecosystem, addressing the current shortage of intelligent solutions that underutilize IoT advantages. Our framework's primary objective is to elevate smart homes to the microgrid level, enabling the seamless integration from the microgrid's renewable distributed energy sources and attaining maximum energy efficiency. In addition to traditional data processing, we propose the application of fog computing in smart homes. Through a rigorous simulation using real smart meter datasets, our study demonstrates that fog computing, mainly when using predictive filtering, may drastically cut down on the amount of data being sent and the load on the home's network. This innovation holds immense potential for revolutionizing energy management and resource allocation in the context of smart homes, thus contributing to a sustainable and efficient future. This research represents a critical step towards harnessing the power of IoT and fog computing in smart grids and homes, offering a promising path towards more intelligent, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient living spaces. © 2024 IEEE.

Wheat is the most important cereal crop,and its low production incurs import pressure on the *** fulfills a significant portion of the daily energy requirements of the human *** wheat disease is one of the major factors that result in low production and negatively affects the national ***,timely detection of wheat diseases is necessary for improving *** CNN-based architectures showed tremendous achievement in the image-based classification and prediction of crop ***,these models are computationally expensive and need a large amount of training *** this research,a light weighted modified CNN architecture is proposed that uses eight layers particularly,three convolutional layers,three SoftMax layers,and two flattened layers,to detect wheat diseases *** high-resolution images were collected from the fields in Azad Kashmir(Pakistan)and manually annotated by three human *** convolutional layers use 16,32,and 64 *** filter uses a 3×3 kernel *** strides for all convolutional layers are set to *** this research,three different variants of datasets are *** variants S1-70%:15%:15%,S2-75%:15%:10%,and S3-80%:10%:10%(train:validation:test)are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed *** extensive experiments revealed that the S3 performed better than S1 and S2 datasets with 93%*** experiment also concludes that a more extensive training set with high-resolution images can detect wheat diseases more accurately.

Digital signal processing (DSP) is used in computer processing to conduct different signal-processing tasks. The DSPs are used in the series numbers representing a continuous variable in a domain such as time, area, or frequency. The multiply-accumulate (MAC) unit is crucial in various DSP applications, including convolution, discrete cosine transform (DCT), Fourier Transform, etc. Thus, all DSPs contain a critical MAC unit in signal processing. The MAC unit conducts multiplication and accumulation operations for continuous and complicated DSP application processes. On the other hand, in the MAC structure, the stability of the circuit and the occupied area pose some significant challenges. However, high-performance quantum technology can easily overcome all the previous shortcomings. Hence, this paper suggests an efficient MAC for DSP applications using a Vedic multiplier, half adder, and accumulator based on quantum technology. All the proposed structures have used a single-layer layout without rotated cells. The suggested architecture is designed and validated based on the QCADesigner 2.0.3 tool. The findings revealed that all the developed circuits have a simple architecture with fewer quantum cells, optimal area, and low latency. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Kidney diseases (KD) are a global public health concern affecting millions. Early detection and prediction are crucial for effective treatment. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have been used in KDP to analyze past medical records, applying patients’ Electronic Medical Record (EHR) data. However, conventional statistical analysis methods conflict with fully comprehending the complexity of EHR data. AI algorithms have helped early KDP learn and identify complex data patterns. However, challenges include training heterogeneous historical data, protecting privacy and security, and developing monitoring system regulations. This study addresses the primary challenge of training heterogeneous datasets for real-world evaluation. Early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is crucial for improved outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, and reliable treatment. Early treatments are crucial for CKD, as it often develops without apparent symptoms. Predictive models, particularly those using reinforcement learning (RL), can identify significant trends in complex healthcare information, which standard techniques may struggle with. The study makes KDP more accurate and reliable using RL methods on clinical data. This lets doctors find diseases earlier and treat them better by looking at static and changing health measurements. Machine learning (ML) algorithms can enhance the accuracy of AI systems over time, enhancing their effectiveness in detecting and diagnosing diseases. In the current investigation, the RL-ANN model is implemented for performing enforceable CKD by assessing the outcomes of multiple neural networks, which include FNN, RNN, and CNN, according to parameters such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, prediction error, prediction rate, and kidney failure rate (KFR). The recommended RL-ANN method has a lower failure rate of 70% based on the KFR data. Further, the proposed approach earned 95% in PR and 70% in analysis of errors. However, the RL

The convergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significantly transforming the landscape of future networking. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technological paradigm that encompasses embedded systems, wireless sensors, and automation, facilitating the integration of various applications ranging from smart homes to wearable devices. In addition, the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) amplifies this influence by providing data-driven analytics, optimising processes, and presenting novel opportunities for growth. Nevertheless, the widespread adoption of devices within Internet of Things (IoT) networks gives rise to apprehensions regarding increased energy consumption. In order to ensure the longevity of network operations, it is imperative to employ energy-efficient protocols for sensor nodes that possess limited power resources. One example of a protocol that demonstrates this concept is the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol. This protocol effectively divides networks into clusters and dynamically adjusts the cluster heads to optimise the transmission of data to the base stations. Our study enhances the LEACH protocol by incorporating digital twin simulation, thereby enhancing the efficiency of IoT systems. Virtual network models and AI analytics are employed to assess energy consumption and performance. Cache nodes play a crucial role within this framework as they collect data from cluster heads in order to transmit it to the base station. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and simulation techniques, we are able to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of the Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The findings indicate a significant reduction of 83% in non-functioning nodes and a notable increase of 1.66 times in energy levels of nodes compared to conventional approaches. Electromagnetic interference (EMI), also known as radio frequency interference, is noise or disruption in an electrical circuit caused by external sources. It can degrade the performance of electronic devices, lead to malfunctions, or cause complete failure. EMI can come from both natural and artificial sources. Therefore, it is essential to use machine learning for predicting and minimizing its effects. In this study, we present our findings from investigating the use of a machine learning (ML) technique to predict EMI based on the parameters of signal characteristic and frequency. The characteristics of signal waves and frequency modulation are well-known parameters that significantly affect to the EMI spectrum. To understand their effects on EMI spectrum, five types of signals, including sine, ampalt, gauss, lorentz, and noise, are analyzed. The main features of each signal are extracted and used to train a machine learning model that can accurately predict EMI spectrum. The results show that linear regression method exhibits a higher error when applied to lorentz signal, whereas it achieves a lower root mean square error (RMSE) when modeling noise signals, 10.29% and 7.14%, respectively. These results open up new opportunities to predict the EMI spectrum with insufficient dataset more resistant, as well as for improving the performance of electronic systems in high-density environments. © 2024 IEEE.
