Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless self-organizing network based on sensor nodes. Small batteries or power supply with weak computing power are usually used, so how to effectively control the energy consumption of nodes has become a very important optimization goal. This study proposes a useful method for cluster head election in WSNs to extend network lifetime using the Gannet Optimization Algorithm (GOA). When applied to WSNs and compared with other protocols, the GOA-C protocol consumes less energy, has a longer lifetime, and receives more messages from base stations and cluster head nodes. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In Mobile sensor Networks, Each and every wireless node dynamically changes its location due to its mobility nature. The routing information is maintained by the master node to deliver a data packet from source to destination. The attackers easily hack this wireless network. The performance of the complete networks is dropped by packets transmission attacks. Attacker node drops the packet. An enhanced protection technique in response to packets transmission misbehaviour attacks is provided to increase the energy efficiency of mobile nodes. This paper proposed the Cryptographic formed Malicious Node Detection and Secure Routing framework (CMNDSR). This model incorporates three various strategies specially algorithm for control of access, to protects initial illegal node in the network. The suspected identification and prevention techniques based on hop count value. Secure routing method with a private key generated at random like one time password (OTP). The proposed methods are power efficient, by operating a minimum number of nodes in challenging environment. The misbehaviour nodes are promptly identified and isolated using this proposed approach. The Cryptographic based Secure routing algorithm is applied to provide secure transmission in wireless networking environment. The outcomes of the simulation display how effectively the recommended approach can identify malicious nodes in a MANET. In comparison with previous methods, the energy consumption is 10% lower and the suspicious node detection rate is increased by 95%. © 2024 IEEE.

Handwriting typically consists of a wide range of writing forms with substantial differences in the placements and size of those writing shapes. The arrangement, organization, and spatial association of individual letters, words, and phrases on a written page are all examples of handwritten text structure. This study proposed a novel approach in which a handwritten text structure is primarily transformed into a Cartesian XY-coordinate system while maintaining its shape characteristics. The points on the contour of handwritten text with local maximum bending values are considered hypothetical breakdown points called Key Points (KPs). From the skeletal representation of handwriting, this approach first identifies KPs and their coordinate positions. After that, KPs are transformed into a graph-based representation with vertices and edges. With the use of geometric graphs, this representation attempts to capture the spatial and temporal organization of handwriting. Previous techniques focused on statistical methods, which offer fixed-size descriptions;however, graph-based representations are flexible in size and reveal the relationship between text structure. Graph representations enable the incorporation of contextual information by integrating extra features which improve text accuracy and understanding. The proposed approach is tested for writer identification and verification tasks on four benchmark datasets (CERUG-EN, CVL, Firemaker, and IAM) and one custom-built dataset. The findings demonstrated that the proposed approach obtained state-of-the-art accuracies across all the mentioned datasets. Particularly, it achieved the highest accuracy of 99.75% for identification and 99.81% for verification on the Firemaker dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The superiority of life for people with epilepsy can be greatly improved with the assistance of accurate seizure prediction and early warning. An automatic prediction model is required to procedure the EEG signals and account for the leads optimization problematic, as opposed to the majority of hand-designed prediction approaches. In this research, we put forth a fully automated model for seizure prediction using Channel and Spatial attention (CASA). The first step in the feature extraction practice is to pre-process the raw EEG signals. Large amounts of computation can be saved by adding more features to the system, but finding the right ones can be tricky. The African vulture optimization algorithm's (AVOA) strong capacity to break out of local optima is what makes this procedure possible. CASA saved the raw EEG data's temporal and geographical details. Automatic optimization of EEG full-lead data was completed with channel attention (CA), leading to an increase in the accuracy of predictions. The aforementioned adaptive learning of feature parameters was accomplished via spatial attention (SA). When all else fails, a fully associated layer is used to make the seizure forecast. The suggested algorithm is tested on the Freiburg EEG database, and the results reveal that the AVOA-based system performs admirably when it comes to predicting seizures. © 2024 IEEE.

Renewable power from sunlight can power the future smart grid with massive amounts of electricity. systems struggle with solar energy's unpredictability and intermittent nature. Unpredictability of solar electricity hinders smart grid optimization and planning. Photovoltaic (PV) power generation must be accurately estimated to reduce power interruptions. PV power must be accurately predicted to avoid grid disturbances from PV facilities. Thus, we describe a transfer learning and AlexNet-based CNN architecture for short-term power forecasting. Past power, solar radiation, wind speed, and temperature readings determine the input. AlexNet's hyper-parameters are optimized using the artificial rabbit method. By adding selective opposition to ARO, local solution tracking efficiency is improved. CNN input features are created from all input parameters as 2D feature maps. After analyzing real PV data from Limberg, Belgium, the math shows that PV systems work. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational technologies marks a significant shift in learning methodologies and operational dynamics within educational institutions. At the forefront is an AI-driven virtual mock interview platform designed to address the high Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) in the edtech sector, especially for interview preparation services. This initiative harnesses a blend of AI technologies, including ADA 2 for creating context-aware embeddings and Machine Learning (ML), to transform the traditional mock interview process into a dynamic, cost-effective system. Central to the platform is its use of advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and GPT-4 Large Language Model (LLM), automating the process of mock interviews and providing personalized feedback, ensuring a preparation journey that meets specific candidate needs and mirrors real interview scenarios. A key evaluation among 100 students from a cohort of 1800 demonstrated a 90% cost reduction for three mock interviews, reducing expenses from 3000 to just 300 per candidate. This cost efficiency significantly enhances access to quality interview preparation, improving student satisfaction and accessibility. Moreover, the platform provides valuable insights into student performance, setting a new standard in educational technology by offering an effective, personalized interview preparation experience. This project reflects a holistic approach to student development and the critical role of technology in addressing the evolving needs of learners. © 2024 IEEE.

DHA-RL: three-tier hybrid offloading network optimisation for the Internet of Things

With the rise of 5G and increasing demand for computing-intensive applications, efficient solutions are needed, especially in remote areas where cellular networks struggle. This paper proposes a three-tier hybrid offloading framework involving local nodes (devices), edge nodes (satellites), and cloud nodes (ground stations). It introduces a novel RL-based offloading strategy, decodable hybrid actions reinforcement learning (DHARL), to optimise latency and energy consumption within limited local and satellite resources. Using conditional variational autoencoders (VAE), the strategy learns dependencies in the hybrid action space. Constraints on the action space and supervision of representation shifts address issues like inadequate sampling and variations. Extensive simulations show that DHARL outperforms existing methods in task latency, energy consumption, and system cost, proving its potential for efficient computation offloading in Internet of Things (IoT) environments. Anomaly detection for rail running bands, the pattern of wheel-rail contact area, is crucial to analyze composite rail irregularities. This paper presents an all-weather vision-based solution for running-band inspection. However, two major algorithmic challenges restrict inspection effectiveness: 1) the identification of high-quality features for diversified and imbalanced data subject to noise and outliers, and 2) inferring implicit anomaly co-occurrence patterns. We regard overall running-band anomaly detection as a multi-label classification problem and develop a novel deep multi-anomaly recognition network via recurrent attention graphs (RAGRN). © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Facial expression recognition(FER)remains a hot research area among computer vision researchers and still becomes a challenge because of high intraclass *** techniques for this problem depend on hand-crafted features,namely,LBP,SIFT,and HOG,along with that a classifier trained on a database of videos or *** execute perform well on image datasets captured in a controlled condition;however not perform well in the more challenging dataset,which has partial faces and image ***,many studies presented an endwise structure for facial expression recognition by utilizing DL ***,this study develops an earthworm optimization with an improved SqueezeNet-based FER(EWOISN-FER)*** presented EWOISN-FER model primarily applies the contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization(CLAHE)technique as a pre-processing *** addition,the improved SqueezeNet model is exploited to derive an optimal set of feature vectors,and the hyperparameter tuning process is performed by the stochastic gradient boosting(SGB)***,EWO with sparse autoencoder(SAE)is employed for the FER process,and the EWO algorithm appropriately chooses the SAE ***-ranging experimental analysis is carried out to examine the performance of the proposed *** experimental outcomes indicate the supremacy of the presented EWOISN-FER technique.
