Diagnosability is an important parameter to measure the fault tolerance of a multiprocessor system. If we only care about the state of a node, instead of doing the global diagnosis, Hsu and Tan proposed the idea of local diagnosis. Chiang and Tan provided an extended star structure to diagnose a node under comparison model. In this work, we evaluate the local diagnosability better by proposing a tree structure around this node. We provide the corresponding algorithm to diagnose the node. Simulation results are presented for different failure probability of a node in the tree and different percentage of faulty nodes in the tree, showing the performance of our algorithm. © 2024 Institute of information Science. Visually impaired individuals face numerous challenges in localization, navigation, reading content, and communicating with others. Unlike sighted individuals who rely on vision in the physical environment to reach their destinations, visually impaired individuals require assistive technologies and smartphone-based applications that employ computer vision to overcome the issues of obstacle detection, read signboards, and navigate in natural scenes. Signboards with text information serve as crucial indicators for navigation and recognition in daily life. However, detecting and interpreting signboard text in natural scenes poses difficulties for visually impaired individuals. Researchers have made efforts to address issues such as text detection on signboards, reducing blurriness, removing backgrounds, improving lighting conditions, and enhancing accuracy and response time of recognition. The primary challenges lie in the detection and interpretation of multilingual and diverse content on signboards in real-time. The proposed system presents a methodology for real-time detection and interpretation of diverse content on signboards, including text in English and Urdu along with phone numbers, for visually impaired individuals. An Android-based application is developed to improve text detection and recognition methods for multilingual texts, providing vital navigation information to visually impaired individuals in real-time. Nowadays,the security of images or information is very *** paper introduces a proposed hybrid watermarking and encryption technique for increasing medical image ***,the secret medical image is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)***,the secret report of the patient is embedded into the encrypted secret medical image with the Least Signiﬁcant Bit(LSB)watermarking *** that,the encrypted secret medical image with the secret report is concealed in a cover medical image,using Kekre’s Median Codebook Generation(KMCG)***,the stego-image obtained is split into 16 ***,it is sent to the *** adopt this strategy to send the secret medical image and report over a network *** proposed technique is assessed with different encryption quality metrics including Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefﬁcient(Cr),Fea-ture Similarity Index Metric(FSIM),and Structural Similarity Index Metric(SSIM).Histogram estimation is used to conﬁrm the matching between the secret medical image before and after *** results demonstrate that the proposed technique achieves good performance with high quality of the received medical image and clear image details in a very short processing time.

Bluetooth technology, which facilitates wireless communication between Billions of devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Internet of Thing (IoT) devices, is a cornerstone of modern connectivity. Its importance lies in its ability to enable seamless data exchange and interaction across a wide range of applications, from personal gadgets to complex industrial systems. Despite its widespread adoption, Bluetooth is not immune to critical security vulnerabilities. Issues like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) vulnerabilities and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks can overwhelm devices with excessive traffic, while BLE Forced Connection can lead to unauthorized access, and eavesdropping exposes sensitive data being exchanged. We have discussed these vulnerabilities in detail, examining their mechanisms, potential impacts, and various implementation aspects. Additionally, we have added demonstrations to illustrate how these attacks can be executed and the potential consequences. To prevent these threats, we explored essential measures, including regular firmware updates, secure pairing protocols, and careful management of Bluetooth settings. Adopting best practices like disabling Bluetooth when not in use and monitoring connected devices can further enhance security, ensuring the reliable and safe operation of the vast and growing ecosystem of Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Drought is an environmental and economic problem. Sustainable ecosystems, water resources, food security, and ecosystem sustainability. Machine all are severely affected by drought. Due to the increasing frequency and severity of droughts caused by climate change. Effective drought modeling is crucial for early warning systems and risk mitigation. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques have been developed as potential drought modeling tools, which offer accurate and reliable drought detection. This review paper summarizes the drought modeling(Drought Prediction, Drought Detection and Drought Forecasting) approaches. This paper focuses on three main aspect. 1) The selection of the region for this study, for this study South Asia(SA) is selected as region of interest (ROI) that offer accurate drought modeling, providing policymakers and decision-makers with insightful information. The geographical scope of this study is the region of South Asia. This region is selected because of its heavy reliance on agriculture. 2) This paper focuses on the current and future trends, challenges, and advances of and vulnerability to droughts. The review offers a thorough grasp of how drought conditions are evaluated by gathering and analyzing the most important drought indicators and metrics specific to South Asia. The paper explores the current state-of-the-art in ML and DL for drought modeling. 3) This review encapsulates the indicator and metrics (Complex Machine learning and deep learning models) for drought modeling which are most relevant to the SA region. This study sum up as most common challenges in drought modeling are, highlighting current challenges such as incomplete and inconsistent datasets, lack of explainable and interpretable models, and unavailability of data for model uncertainty analysis.
