Nowadays, the establishment of effective methods of QSAR (Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships) to predict the properties of new chemical compounds and directional computational molecular design of drug compounds are the most important and urgent tasks of bioinformatics. The article proposes a technology based on immune network modeling to determine the substance of new drug compounds. There was presented the algorithm for the modeling of the dependences "structure-property" on the example of sulfonamides with different duration of action based on the biological approach of artificial immune systems. There was designed component-oriented approach for computational molecular design of new drug compounds based on immune network modeling. The proposed intelligent technology allows to analyze the hidden (latent) relations between the descriptors, to decrease the training time for the immune network and to use the descriptors of different levels.

This Festschrift, published on the occasion of the sixtieth birthday of Yutaka - mamoto (‘YY’ as he is occasionally casually referred to), contains a collection of articles by friends, colleagues, and former Ph.D. students of YY. They are a tribute to his friendship and his scienti?c vision and oeuvre, which has been a source of inspiration to the authors. Yutaka Yamamoto was born in Kyoto, Japan, on March 29, 1950. He studied applied mathematics and general engineering science at the department of Applied Mathematics and Physics of Kyoto University, obtaining the B.S. and ***. degrees in 1972 and 1974. His ***. work was done under the supervision of Professor Yoshikazu Sawaragi. In 1974, he went to the Center for Mathematical System T- ory of the University of Florida in Gainesville. He obtained the ***. and Ph.D. degrees, both in Mathematics, in 1976 and 1978, under the direction of Professor Rudolf Kalman.

This paper addresses the robust H ∞ filtering problem for a class of discrete time-varying Markovian jump systems with randomly occurring nonlinearities and sensor saturation. Two kinds of transition probability matrices for the Markovian process are considered, namely, the one with polytopic uncertainties and the one with partially unknown entries. The nonlinear disturbances are assumed to occur randomly according to stochastic variables satisfying the Bernoulli distributions. The main purpose of this paper is to design a robust filter, over a given finite-horizon, such that the H ∞ disturbance attenuation level is guaranteed for the time-varying Markovian jump systems in the presence of both the randomly occurring nonlinearities and the sensor saturation. Sufficient conditions are established for the existence of the desired filter satisfying the H ∞ performance constraint in terms of a set of recursive linear matrix inequalities. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed filter design scheme.

Future powers system is considering huge flux of information flow due to increase in Renewable Energy Sources. Due to the limited monitoring and management of SCADA systems, inclusion of DER at local distribution level is a challenging task for the Smart Grid. We discuss the non-functional requirement aspects and their implication in trustworthy systems. The paper also illustrates an engineering approach towards trustworthy ICT systems. We present a use case about Injection/Curtailment of DER in distributed network. Further, we argue the importance of Service Level Agreements as coordination tool for information exchange between DSO and DER for the provisioning of trustworthy services. Finally conclude that modeling of SLA using Multi Agent systems is a viable approach towards Trustworthy future Smart Grid applications.
