Long-term predictions of time series is a task with multiple applications. Exploiting neural networks for such problem has not been studied enough for financial purposes. An empirical study of specific cases with real financial multivariate time series and data augmentation was performed. The results are compared for different neural network models and two datasets using standard and customized spectral evaluation metrics. © 2021 IEEE.

The subject of the study is methods of balancing raw data. The purpose of the article is to improve the quality of intrusion detection in computer networks by using class balancing methods. Task: to investigate methods of balancing classes and to develop a classification method on imbalanced data to increase the level of network security. The methods used are: methods of artificial intelligence, machine learning. The following results were obtained: Class balancing methods based on Undersampling, Oversampling and their combinations were studied. The following methods were chosen for further research: SMOTEENN, SVMSMOTE, BorderlineSMOTE, ADASYN, SMOTE, KMeansSMOTE. The UNSW-NB 15 set was used as the source data, which contains information about the normal functioning of the network and during intrusions. A decision tree based on the CART (Classification And Regression Tree) algorithm was used as the basic classifier. According to the research results, it was found that the use of the SMOTEENN method provides an opportunity to improve the quality of detection of intrusions in the functioning of the network. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the complex use of data balancing methods and the method of data classification based on decision trees to detect intrusions into computer networks, which made it possible to reduce the number of Type II errors. © 2023 IEEE.

Scientific and scientific-technical information is a valuable tool for the development of education, technology and society as a whole. The increase in the volume of information and the development of information networks of data exchange requires special means to ensure information protection of data. Methods, means and systems for information security of scientific, technical and scientific-educational resources in intellectual information systems are of particular importance. The purpose of the research is to develop methods and software tools to ensure information security of valuable scientific and technical information resources in intelligent information systems. The proposed solution for intrusion detection in intelligent system is a web application firewall, which is used for enhanced security, detecting and preventing attacks before they reach the web application. It will protect the system from a whole range of attacks while allowing HTTP traffic monitoring and analyzing small changes or persistent state online. The Web Application Firewall (WAF) has the following features: logging of all HTTP protocol transactions, including request termination permissions and logging of the response;HTTP traffic can be examined in real time to detect attacks;preventing attacks before they reach the web application. This article is dedicated to the study of an integrated approach to technological process of control of measurement of wearing parameters of traction electric motor collectors. Also the article presents the results of studies on the organization of an automated calculation and control system for the wearing of traction electric motor collectors at the stage of their repair using modern software. Special software product that allows to perform quick and truthful calculation of the wearing parameters of traction electric motor collectors depending on their run distance is proposed for implementation. After the entering of initial values, the statistical dependence of the collector diameter and its wearing on the run distance of the locomotive as well as theoretical distribution are calculated. The comparability of the theoretical and empirical distributions and sample regression coefficients that reflect the degree of connection between the theoretical and empirical distributions are estimated. © 2020 IEEE.

Automated System for Freight Transportation Optimization on the Transport Network

An automated system for freight traffic optimization on a transport network has been developed, which is realized in the form of a complex computer program with application of the visual design environment of Embarcadero RAD Studio. The program complex consists of the main form from which two subprograms are loaded. The search of optimum routes performed by the routing optimization subprogram is used at transportations of freight on the set transport network based on different schemes (from one vertex (the supplier) to all other vertices (consumers), serially - from each vertex to all other vertices, and from two (or several) set of vertices to all other vertices). Freight delivery between the supply and consumption points was optimized by means of the freight transportation optimization subprogram, taking into account the restrictions on the volume of freight at the points of departure and destination. © 2023 Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The problem of data entry in mobile devices is considered. The shortcomings of virtual projected keyboards are analyzed. The new input technology called VKF (Virtual Keyboard and Fingers) is offered. It is shown that VKF is more convenient not only in comparison with projected virtual keyboards, but also with data entry methods including use of on-screen keyboards.

Constraint programming and Constraint Solving, in particular Constraint Logic programming, appear to be a very promising platform, perhaps the most promising present platform, for bringing forward the state of the art in natural language processing, this due to the naturalness in speci?cation and the direct relation to e?cient implementation. Language, in the present context, may - fer to written and spoken language, formal and semiformal language, and even general input data to multimodal and pervasive systems, which can be handled in very much the same ways using constraint programming. The notion of constraints, with slightly di?ering meanings, apply in the ch- acterization of linguistic and cognitive phenomena, in formalized linguistic m- els as well as in implementation-oriented frameworks. programming techniques for constraint solving have been, and still are, in a period with rapid devel- ment of new e?cient methods and paradigms from which language processing can pro?t. A common metaphor for human language processing is one big c- straintsolvingprocessinwhichthedi?erent(-lyspeci?ed)linguisticandcognitive phases take place in parallel and with mutual cooperation, which ?ts quite well with current constraint programming paradigms.
