This article covers possible password attacks, describing thermal residue-based post factum password attacks and the ways to counteract the same, with test results provided as to the possibility of intercepting a password with a thermal imager. In the process of work theoretical material was studied, the methodology of testing the possibility of intercepting passwords, PIN-codes and graphic keys by residual heat trace was developed. The task of testing was that on different models of keyboards, as well as on a smartphone, a set of different combinations of characters, PIN codes and graphic keys was produced, then, using a thermal imager of the UNI-T model UTi260B photographs of the residual thermal trace were taken. The pictures were taken at different distances from the keyboard and after different times of typing the combinations of characters. In the course of this experiment, it was found that it is possible to obtain a sufficiently clear image within one minute after entering the password. However, in order to most successfully reproduce the sequence of the typed characters, the image should be made as early as possible. If the image is taken within fifteen seconds after the password has been entered, success in reproducing the character sequence is achieved in most cases. After thirty seconds, accuracy drops, and after forty-five seconds or more, it becomes increasingly difficult to reproduce the text. In cases of decryption of a graphical key, a similar heat attack makes it possible to reproduce the correct key form even forty seconds after input, as long as the key lines are not superimposed. As a result of the research, methods for counteracting residual heat trace attacks on passwords have been identified and formulated.

In this paper, the H∞ state estimation problem is investigated for a class of stochastic systems with the simultaneous presence of fading measurements and randomly varying nonlinearities (RVNs). A sequence of random variables obeying the Bernoulli distribution is utilized to govern RVNs. The Rice fading model, simultaneously, is employed to describe the phenomena of channel fadings by setting different values of the channel coefficients. The purpose of this paper is to design an H∞ state estimator such that the augmented system is stochastically stable and the disturbance rejection attenuation is constrained to a given level by means of the H ∞-performance index. In terms of stochastic analysis methods, sufficient conditions are established under which the addressed state estimation problem is recast as solving a convex optimization problem via the semi-definite programme method. Finally, a simulation example is employed to show the usefulness of the proposed design scheme. © 2013 Chinese Automation and computing Society in the UK - CACS.

Brain networks typically exhibit characteristic synchronization patterns where several synchronized clusters coexist. On the other hand, neurological disorders are considered to be related to pathological synchronization such as excessive synchronization of large populations of neurons. Motivated by these phenomena, this paper presents two approaches to control the cluster synchronization of Kuramoto oscillators. One is based on the use of pacemakers to the clusters, and the other is based on feeding back the mean phases to the clusters. We first show conditions on the pacemaker weights and the feedback gains for the network to achieve cluster synchronization. Then, we propose a method to find optimal feedback gains through convex optimization. A numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed methods. © 2024 IEEE.

the article is devoted to solving the problems of synthesis of algorithmic support of the decision support system for the controlled destruction of resin vulcanizates of butyl rubber. As an object of research, the destruction processes have been selected, which are carried out by combining external destructive factors: ionization irradiation and subsequent thermomechanical treatment. Based on the results of the system analysis of the destruction process stages as control objects, the main and cross system connections between the input, internal parameters of the process and the physical properties of the final product have been revealed. The most preferred channels for controlling the rate of physical and chemical processes occurring during destruction have been selected. Using a combination of control actions, a method and an algorithm for controlling the stages of destruction has been proposed, which allows for programmed control of the operating parameters of the process to obtain reclaimed butyl rubber with target quality indicators. The structural synthesis of the mathematical support of the decision support system, which calculates the optimal values of the process parameters in accordance with the formed search criteria, has been carried out. An algorithm for controlling the destruction process has been developed, which calculates the optimal parameters of the process using the mathematical tools, which includes the Choquet integral, the Sugeno fuzzy measure, and a genetic algorithm for solving optimization problems. © 2021 IEEE.

This article introduces a new medical internet of things(IoT)framework for intelligent fall detection system of senior people based on our proposed deep forest *** cascade multi-layer structure of deep forest classifier allows to generate new features at each level with minimal hyperparameters compared to deep neural ***,the optimal number of the deep forest layers is automatically estimated based on the early stopping criteria of validation accuracy value at each generated *** suggested forest classifier was successfully tested and evaluated using a public SmartFall dataset,which is acquired from three-axis accelerometer in a *** includes 92781 training samples and 91025 testing samples with two labeled classes,namely non-fall and *** results of our deep forest classifier demonstrated a superior performance with the best accuracy score of 98.0%compared to three machine learning models,i.e.,K-nearest neighbors,decision trees and traditional random forest,and two deep learning models,which are dense neural networks and convolutional neural *** considering security and privacy aspects in the future work,our proposed medical IoT framework for fall detection of old people is valid for real-time healthcare application deployment.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SMOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SMOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOMTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

An approach to development of fine-grain parallel algorithm of artificial neural network training using parallelization of computational operations of each elementary neuron is presented in this paper. A training algorithm of back error propagation is described and parallel section of the algorithm is developed. The results of experimental research of the parallel algorithm are given using analysis of parallelization speedup and efficiency on parallel computer Origin 300.

A control Barrier Function Approach for Observer-based Visually Safe Pursuit control with Spherical Obstacles*

Pursuing a target in the presence of obstacles requires that an autonomous mobile robot keeps sight of the target in a way robust to the target's unknown behavior. This paper presents visually safe pursuit control, which keeps a target with the unknown motion inside the camera's field of view while preventing occlusion caused by spherical obstacles. Framed as forward invariance of sets in the SE(3) state space, visual safety is ensured by the control Barrier Functions (CBFs) approach. Concretely, by showing the Input-to-State stability of the vision-based observer that estimates the target's motion, we design safety certificates for visual safety that accommodate uncertainties in the target's motion. This enables us to synthesize a safe controller as a Quadratic Programming problem. Finally, the theoretical results are verified via a simulation of a visual pursuit scenario.
