One-sided concept lattices introduce data mining method from the area of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) for analysis of objects clusters according to the set of fuzzy attributes. Currently, most of the methods for creation of one-sided concept lattices process only data tables with one type of truth value structure. In this chapter we describe closure operator, which corresponds to the intersection of particular closure systems obtained from various object-attribute models with different types of attributes. Each particular closure system is defined via one-sided concept lattices approaches applicated for particular data tables.

In this paper we describe the possibility for usage of generalized version of one-sided (fuzzy) concept lattices, which represents analytical method from the area of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), for joining of several simple object-attribute models. The main advantage of the algorithm for (so-called) Generalized One-sided Concept Lattices (GOSCL) is its possibility or ability to work with various attributes types. Sometimes, the analyst needs to join some object-attribute models into one comprehensive structure, he/she is able to do it using generalized FCA approach in two basic ways, which are described within the paper. Both approaches provides isomorphic outputs, but provision of information can be different due to usage of generalized attributes, what leads to benefits like better interpretation and understanding of output models and data.

This paper presents the hybrid approach for visualization of documents sets by the combination of hierarchical clustering method, based on the Growing Hierarchical Self-Organizing Maps algorithm, and Sammon projection. Algorithms based on the self-organizing maps provide robust clustering method suitable for visualization of larger number of documents into the grid-based 2D maps. Sammon projection is nonlinear projection method suitable mostly to visualization of smaller sets of object on (usually 2D) maps based on the projections. Here we have implemented and tested combination of these approaches, where starting set of documents is organized using GHSOM to subsets of similar documents, then for clusters at the end of clustering phase, with smaller number of inputs, Sammon maps are created in order to provide distinction also for documents in these clusters. The method for extraction of characteristic terms based on the information gain analysis was used for description of clusters. Existing library JBOWL was used for implementation of the hybrid algorithm. For testing purposes, the documents in English language were used.

A great deal of modern methods for investigation, monitoring and control of the processes in the area of mining and processing of earth resources utilize approaches based upon modeling of these processes using the mathematical or physical models. As it results from the last research works, majority of the real processes in general are fractional-order dynamical processes (arbitrary real order including integer order), however in some types of processes the order is very close to an integer order. In these cases the application of fractional-order models is more adequate than integer-order models for the investigation of these dynamical processes. Comparison of the methods for solving fractional-order mathematical models we have described in our past paper on the 10th International Multidisciplinary Scientific Geo-Conference-SGEM 2011. The solution of many practical problems can be simplified with the help of electronic analog models utilizing so called fractional-order elements or constant phase elements. This paper is devoted to the design and realization of the electronic fractional-order model of the fractional-order system whose mathematical model is fractional-order differential equation. In this paper the relationship between one-sided concept lattices and their restricted version is described. One-sided concept lattices are based on the Galois connections within Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) framework, which allows to analyse object-attribute models with different structures for truth values of attributes. We present the approach for generation of one-sided concept lattices from restricted formal context, which is obtained from given one by omitting some subset of the set of all attributes. The resulted algorithm for such restricted problem is described, together with the discussion on its correctness. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper we describe use of cloud computing platform for support of distributed creation of conceptual models based on the FCA (Formal Concept Analysis) framework. FCA is one of the approaches which can be applied in process of conceptual data analysis. Extension of classical FCA (binary table data) is (one-sided) fuzzy version that works with different types of lattice-based attributes (binary, ordinal, interval-based, etc.) in the object-attribute table. This extension, so-called generalized one-sided concept lattices, provide possibility for researcher or data analyzer to use fuzzy FCA for object-attribute tables without the need for specific unified pre-processing, what is usually expected in practical data mining or online analytical tools. Computational complexity of creation of concept lattices from large contexts (data tables) is considerable, also interpretability of huge concept lattices is problematic. Therefore, we will also propose a solution for creation of simple hierarchy of smaller FCA models. Starting data table is decomposed into smaller sets of objects and then one concept lattice is built for every subset using generalized one-sided concept lattice. Such small FCA-based models are better for interpretability, and also can be combined into one hierarchy of models using simple hierarchical clustering based on the descriptions of particular models (as weighted vectors of attributes), which can be searched in analytical tool by data analyst. Cloud infrastructure is then used for increase of computational effectiveness, because particular models are built in parallel/distributed way. This cloud module can be a part of more complex data analytical system, which is also presented at the end of the paper. © 2012 IEEE.

During the monitoring of information systems, experiments in progress, etc. it is often required that people are alerted about some events in real time, preferably via a mobile phone. Modern smartphones offer advanced means of notification, however these techniques are usually vendor specific. In this paper we design an unified platform for the delivery of short messages and notifications to smartphones. Our solution is based on a RESTful Java Web Service with simple interface and secure access. Although it is primarily targeted for the delivery of iOS Push Notifications, it can be easily extended for other platforms and/or transport methods (Android, SMS messaging, etc.). © 2012 IEEE.

This paper deals with the fractional-order memristive, memcapacitative, and meminductive systems and their utilization in design of the new circuits with memory. Real objects in general are fractional-order (FO) systems, although in some types of systems the order is very close to an integer order. Also application of FO models is more adequate for the description of dynamical systems than integer-order models. This paper is devoted to the analogue electronic realization of the FO systems, e.g. controlled objects and/or controllers whose mathematical models are FO differential equations. The electronic realization is based on FO differentiator and FO integrator where operational amplifiers are connected with appropriate impedance or in our realization with so called Fractional Order Element (FOE) or Constant Phase Element (CPE). Presented network model in spite of its simplicity approximates quite well the properties of the ideal FO system compared with e.g. domino ladder networks. Also presented, along with the mathematical description, are simulation and measurement results. © 2012 IEEE.
