Entity search and exploration can enrich search user interfaces by presenting relevant information instantly and offering relevant exploration pointers to users. Previous research has demonstrated that large knowledge Graphs allow exploitation and recommendation of explicit links between the entities and other information to improve information access and ranking. However, less attention has been devoted to user interfaces for effectively presenting results, recommending related entities and explaining relations between entities. We introduce a system called SEED which is designed to support entity search and exploration in large knowledge Graphs. We demonstrate SEED using a dataset of hundreds of thousands of movie related entities from the DBpedia knowledge Graph. The system utilizes a graph embedding model for ranking entities and their relations, recommending related entities, and explaining their interrelations. Copyright is held by the author/owner(s).

The sparse synthesis of the concentric circular antenna array (CCAA) is a very important technology because it is able to reduce the cost of the antenna array. In this paper, we first formulate a multi-objective optimization problem to jointly reduce the maximum sidelobe level (SLL) and the number of the switched-on elements of the CCAA. Then, we propose a novel enhanced non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (ENSGA-II) to solve this problem. ENSGA-II introduces a hierarchy mechanism to improve the population utilization of the conventional non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm, thereby enhancing the accuracy and the convergence rate of the algorithm. Simulation results show that ENSGA-II obtains a lower maximum SLL with the similar number the switched-off elements compared with other algorithms. Moreover, ENSGA-II has a faster convergence rate.

We propose a hierarchical semantic representation of urban areas extracted from a social network to classify the most predominant land use, which is a very common task in urban computing. We encode geo-social data from Location-Based Social Networks with standard feature vectors and a conceptual tree structure that we call Geo-Tree. We use the latter in kernel machines, which can thus perform accurate classification, exploiting hierarchical substructure of concepts as features. Our comparative study on three datasets extracted from Milan, Rome and Naples shows that Tree Kernels applied to Geo-Trees are very effective improving the state of the art.

The introduction ofproportional-integral-dorivative (PID) controllers into cooperative collision avoidance systems (CCASs) has been hindered by difficulties in their optimization and by a lack of study of their effects on vehicle driving stability, comfort, and fuel economy. In this paper, we propose a method to optimize PID controllers using an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, and to bettor manipulate cooperative collision avoidance with other vehicles. First, we use PRESCAN and MATLAB/Simulink to conduct a united simulation, which constructs a CCAS composed of a PID controller, maneuver strategy judging modules, and a path planning module. Then we apply the improved PSO algorithm to optimize the PID controller based on the dynamic vehicle data obtained. Finally, we perform a simulation test of performance before and after the optimization of the PID controller, in which vehicles equipped with a CCAS undertake deceleration driving and steering under the two states of low speed (≤50 km/h) and high speed (≥100 km/h) cruising. The results show that the PID controller optimized using the proposed method can achieve not only the basic functions of a CCAS, but also improvements in vehicle dynamic stability, riding comfort, and fuel economy.

The research-based teaching thinking is applied to the C++ programming course teaching, combined with the FKM teaching method, the rapid acquisition of knowledge combine with knowledge exploration and research thinking, maximize the ability to cultivate innovative ability in classroom teaching. In the explanation of each knowledge point, start with deep logical thinking;first teach each chapter of knowledge points with the procedure-oriented idea, through the point-connection-network-expansion-scheme and other steps will be knowledge points through macro-structure and micro-interpretation. And then feedback the object-oriented knowledge, each knowledge point is the center of the class to form the FKM map of the C++ curriculum object-oriented knowledge. The abstract knowledge to the image intuitive, in line with the logic of thinking way of teaching, let the students out of the tedious grammar study, and then asks questions to inspire. This paper presents an enhanced gain of Yagi-Uda antenna with folded dipole for amateur radio Very High Frequency (VHF) band. The analysis is performed using CST Microwave Studio Suite software. The structure of this directional antenna integrates three main parts which are directors, reflectors and feeder point of 50 Ω. The performance of the proposed antenna has a tolerable reflection coefficient below -10 dB at 144.46 MHz. A maximum gain of around 14.03 dB with a good efficiency of 75.6% is achieved. The gain of the antenna increases up to 2% when added with 7 elements of reflector than with one element of reflector and enhanced significantly by 23.6% compared to the conventional Yagi-Uda antenna.
