A model for evaluating the availability of a fault-tolerant cluster with a constraint on the maximum query service time is proposed. Node recovery in the cluster involves replacing the entire computational node with the latest backup results before the failure. Information update after the backup is achieved through the replication of this information from the working nodes of the cluster. The purpose of the article is to assess the reliability of the cluster and its readiness to timely service requests critical to the waiting time. Restoring up-to-date data in a cluster node after previously entering the data saved during backup into it requires the use of resources of the node in which the data is being restored and the node containing up-to-date data. The specified pair of nodes is excluded from the request servicing process, which reduces the likelihood of timely maintenance. Information recovery in case of failures of all nodes containing replicas of up-to-date data requires more time compared to replication from the memory of a functioning node. © 2023 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of wireless communication technologies and the increasing demand for multi-functional systems have led to the emergence of integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) as a key enabler for future 6G networks. Simultaneously transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (STAR-RISs) have recently garnered significant attention for their ability to enhance signal coverage and improve system efficiency. This paper investigates a STAR-RIS-assisted ISAC system designed to secure communication for multiple legitimate users (LUs) while safeguarding against multiple eavesdroppers (Eves). By jointly optimizing the base station (BS) transmit beamforming, STAR-RIS transmission and reflection coefficients, and receive filters, the proposed framework aims to maximize the long-term average secrecy rate for all LUs. Constraints are imposed to ensure minimum echo signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) for sensing and meet the achievable rate requirements of LUs. To address the inherent complexity of this non-convex problem, two deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithms are proposed. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves significant improvements in secrecy rate compared to conventional RIS setups. This work provides a scalable and efficient approach for secure multi-user ISAC systems, making it highly relevant for future 6G networks, smart cities, and IoT applications. © 2025 The Authors.

The use of Artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the content creation to produce creative aspects like editing, audience analysis, creating ideas, writing copy, etc. The major aim is to streamline and automate the process of content creation and convert it into a more efficient and effective way. There is a lack of transparency in the AI content production process and hence it does not exactly mimic human activities, which includes fantasizing and picking up new abilities. AI content creation requires more creativity while investigating with a specific goal in mind. Although, AI faces many challenges since it constantly expands its base knowledge. One of the biggest ethical problems is the probability that AI content is used to deceive or influence people. Hence, to overcome these difficulties a machine learning-based Artificial Intelligent content creation framework is generated for content creation in Ad-supported TV. Here, an effective model Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) introduced to deliver enterprise data, customize descriptions, and adjust content based on consumer behaviors. This developed model produces material that is closely related to the preferences of the user. AI content creation increases efficiency and productivity by saving time and money. It also leads to the development of better content. Finally, the experimental analysis is performed to find the effectiveness of the developed deep learning-based AI content creation framework via various metrics. © 2024 IEEE.

This article proposes a novel approach to traffic signal control that combines phase re-service with reinforcement learning (RL). The RL agent directly determines the duration of the next phase in a pre-defined sequence. Before the RL agent's decision is executed, we use the shock wave theory to estimate queue expansion at the designated movement allowed for re-service and decide if phase re-service is necessary. If necessary, a temporary phase re-service is inserted before the next regular phase. We formulate the RL problem as a semi-Markov decision process (SMDP) and solve it with proximal policy optimization (PPO). We conducted a series of experiments that showed significant improvements thanks to the introduction of phase re-service. Vehicle delays are reduced by up to 29.95% of the average and up to 59.21% of the standard deviation. The number of stops is reduced by 26.05% on average with 45.77% less standard deviation.

Speech recognition systems use computer algorithms to interpret and process spoken words and translate them into text. Speech-to-text, or Speech detection, is the proficiency of a program or machine to find spoken words aloud and translate them into plain text. Speech detection systems are the most common complex systems that use wide-ranging research in computer engineering, linguistics, and computer science. In today's significant data era, several machine learning (ML) approaches for processing raw, unlabelled speech data still need to be improved. Deep learning (DL) models, on the other hand, with their powerful modelling ability for extensive data, are capable of directly processing unlabelled data and have become a crucial area of research in the domain of automated speech recognition. The DL model has recently gained popularity for voice disorders and automated speech detection. DL is an ML that exploits artificial neural networks (ANN) to gain meaningful insights from data. The DL approach demonstrated great success and achieved significant attention in different fields comprising speech processing, computer vision (CV), and natural language processing (NLP). Therefore, this article develops a Deep Learning with Natural Language Processing based Robust Speech Detection (DLNLP-RSD) technique. The DLNLP-RSD technique derives features from the mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) technique. Followed by the DLNLP-RSD technique employs a one-dimensional deep convolutional neural network (CNN) approach for the detection and classification of speech. Moreover, the parameter tuning model uses the grasshopper fractals optimization algorithm (GOA) approach. The performance evaluation of the proposed technique highlights its significant performance over other models concerning distinct measures. The extensive spread of DeepFake images on the internet has emerged as a significant challenge, with applications ranging from harmless entertainment to harmful acts like blackmail, misinformation, and spreading false propaganda. To tackle this issue, this paper introduces a sophisticated DeepFake detection model designed to identify and mitigate the increase of these deceptive images. The model architecture integrates an ensemble approach, combining the strengths of two pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models—MobileNet and Xception—with a novel CNN architecture, the Advanced CNN (ACNN). This rigorous validation process enabled the model to achieve a high accuracy rate of 97.89% in detecting DeepFakes. The successful implementation of this ensemble CNN approach demonstrates its effectiveness in distinguishing between real and fabricated imagery with high precision. This research makes a substantial contribution to the field of digital image forensics, offering a reliable tool for stakeholders across various sectors to identify and counteract the spread of DeepFake images online.

Sign language is a non-verbal communication method used to communicate between hard of hearing or deaf and ordinary people. Automatic Sign language detection is a complex computer vision problem due to the diversity of modern sign languages and variations in gesture positions, hand and finger form, and body part placements. This research paper aims to conduct a systematic experimental evaluation of computer vision-based approaches for sign language recognition. The present research focuses on mapping non-segmented video streams to glosses to gain insights into sign language recognition. The proposed machine learning model consists of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) layers such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). This paper studies the efficiency of training a statistical model among an edge server and multiple clients via Federated Learning (FL) - a machine learning method that preserves data privacy in the training process - over wireless networks. Due to unreliable wireless channels and constrained communication resources, the server can only choose a handful of clients for parameter updates during each communication round. To address this issue, analytical expressions are derived to characterize the FL convergence rate, accounting for key features from both communication and algorithmic aspects, including transmission reliability, scheduling policies, and momentum method. First, the analysis reveals that either delicately designed user scheduling policies or expanding higher bandwidth to accommodate more clients in each communication round can expedite model training in networks with reliable connections. However, these methods become ineffective when the connection is erratic. Second, it has been verified that incorporating the momentum method into the model training algorithm accelerates the rate of convergence and provides greater resilience against transmission failures. Last, extensive empirical simulations are provided to verify these theoretical discoveries and enhancements in performance. © 2023 CCBY.

Pneumonia is an infectious disease of the lungs, caused by viruses, bacteria or fungi. Pneumonia is distinguished by acute inflammation of the lung tissue, causing the consolidation of the terminal bronchioles and alveoli. According to the WHO (the World Health Organization), this disease causes about 4 million deaths. Among the methods of diagnosing pneumonia uses a chest X-ray. This is widely used to visualize pulmonary abnormalities. This work aims at the detection and characterization of pneumonia by the development of computer-assisted diagnosis systems (DAOC). We use deep learning algorithms and chest X-ray images from a pneumonia database to examine the classification of pneumonia. To improve the accuracy, we compare several deep learning models. This research contributes to meeting the growing demand for medical personnel by addressing the global incidence of chest disorders. © 2024 IEEE.
