This paper is devoted to the consensus control for a network of autonomous agents with high-dimension linear coupling dynamics and subject to external disturbances. By transforming the consensus control problem into an H infin control problem, we propose a distributed state feedback protocol, and obtain conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to ensure the consensus with a prescribed H infin performance level for networks with zero and nonzero communication delays, respectively. Furthermore, the undetermined feedback matrix of the proposed protocol is also solved. A numerical example is included to validate the theoretical results.

This paper proposes an adaptive multi-class support vector machine for simultaneous microarray classification and gene selection. By evaluating the gene ranking significance, the adaptive multi-class support vector machine is shown to encourage an adaptive grouping effect in the process of building classifiers, thus leading a sparse multi-classifiers with enhanced interpretability. Based on a reasonable correlation between the two regularization parameters, an efficient solution path algorithm is developed for solving the proposed support vector machine. Experiments performed on the leukaemia data set are provided to verify the obtained results.

Very prestigious work has been performed in the field of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETS) with respect to their routing protocols. Researchers have developed and designed so many protocols for these networks, but due to the dynamic change in topology, decentralization, power management, bandwidth and many other factors like these no specific routing protocol is exclusively recommended, up to today, which comply and fulfill all the needs and requirements of users for ad hoc networks in all situations of network variation statuses and traffic overhead. This paper contributes an effort towards anthology of one of the major segment of routing protocols i.e. unicast, their cateaories and the main type of unicast routing protocols such as DSDV from proactive plus DSR from reactive. The protocols and their performances are evaluated on the basis of some metrics commonly used in support of simulation environment for getting simulation results acquired by simulation of certain model with some parameters with the help of NS-2, OPNET and GloMoSim like simulators. The performance evaluations are declared on the basis of those simulations results, but all the results peter out when magnitudes of those attributes or load of network changes (increased or decreased ) with respect to bandwidth, power management, end to end delay, data errors, packet dropping ratio or even with distance. Here in this paper we have scrupulously reviewed the work done on these protocols and majority of the simulated results are examined and finally suggest few common uniqueness and differences with respect to their properties which remain unchanged in all the situations and scenarios.

Middleware is actually a resource manager that guarantees the implementation of all policies, contracts to be satisfied, and it ensures that contracts do not go beyond the limits of network capacity. It also authentication, so that only the legitimate users could avail the network resources according to the agreed format. The middleware is supposed to be the backbone for QoS assurance and the system behavior depends on it. This paper proposes design of a middleware based on a bandwidth constrained QoS model for multi hop ad hoc networks. Our model is designed not only on the basis of conceptualization but we have considered the basic functionalities available in networking equipments like routers etc. The elements of QoS aware middleware are admission control, resource reservation, policy control and a feedback module. Finally we discuss our future work to find the primary and alternative route to the destinations by keeping the bandwidth constraints in mind.

This report summarizes the proceedings of the one day BioSharing meeting held at the Intelligent systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) 2010 conference in Boston, MA, USA This inaugural BioSharing event was hosted by the Genomic Standards Consortium as part of its M3 & BioSharing special interest group (SIG) workshop. The BioSharing event included invited talks from a range of community leaders and a panel discussion at the end of the day. The panel session led to the formal agreement among community leaders to join together to promote cross-community knowledge exchange and collaborations. A key focus of the newly formed Biosharing community will be linking up resources to promote real-world data sharing (virtuous cycle of data) and supporting compliance with data policies through the creation of a one-stop-portal of information. This paper presents a psychological contract perspective on the use of the open source development model as a global sourcing strategy - opensourcing, as we term it here-where-by commercial companies and open source communities collaborate on development of software of commercial interest to the company. Building on previous research on information systems outsourcing, a theoretical framework for exploring the opensourcing phenomenon is derived. The first phase of the research concerned qualitative case studies involving three commercial organizations (IONA Technologies, Philips Medical systems, and Telefonica) that had "liberated" what had hitherto been proprietary software and sought to grow a global open source community around their product. We followed this with a large-scale survey involving additional exemplars of the phenomenon. The study identifies a number of symmetrical and complementary customer and community obligations that are associated with opensourcing success. We also identify a number of tension points on which customer and community perceptions tend to vary. Overall the key watchwords for opensourcing are openness, trust, tact, professionalism, transparency, and complementariness: The customer and community need to establish a trusted partnership of shared responsibility in building an overall opensourcing ecosystem. The study reveals an ongoing shift from OSS as a community of individual developers to OSS as a community of commercial organizations, primarily small to medium-sized enterprises. It also reveals that opensourcing provides ample opportunity for companies to headhunt top developers, hence moving from outsourcing to a largely unknown OSS workforce toward recruitment of developers from a global open source community whose talents have become known as a result of the opensourcing experience.

Introduction of new standards that impose the use of labels and identification by radio frequency in supply management area has promoted a necessity to research alternatives to solve this question. The different solutions proposed from the software point of view to incorporate the RFID ubiquitous information have been characterized by two extreme positions: of a side the solutions ad-hoc for every specific system, and by another one the solutions based on software packages that give generic support to the established standards. In this article we present our development: DEPCAS (Data EPC Acquisition System) based in the architecture for control systems (SCADAs) applied to the collection of RFID information. An application of DEPCAS is the resolution of heterogeneous situations of items tracking like for example, the luggage tracking, the sport events with massive participation management, the track of goods or merchandising, etc.
