In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has gained increasing popularity in the area of art creation, by demonstrating its great potential. Research in this topic has developed AI systems able to generate creative outputs in fields such as music, painting, games, design and scientific discovery, either autonomously or in collaboration with humans. Therefore, AI also helped to analyze and study the mechanisms of creativity from a broader perspective: from the socio-anthropological to psychological, as well as cognitive impact of the autonomous creative processes of artificial intelligence. These advances are leading to new opportunities research perspectives, while also posing challenging questions related to authorship, integrity, bias and evaluation of AI artistic outputs. CREAI, the workshop on AI and creativity, tries to address these research lines and aims to provide a forum for the AI community to discuss problems, challenges and innovative approaches in the various sub-fields of AI and creativity. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

Nowadays, secure and reliable management of logistics is highly needed. Logistics is the delivery of goods from producers to legitimate consumers in accurate amounts and good conditions. The use of low-capable sensor nodes in smart logistics makes it vulnerable to many security threats. Smart logistics necessitated the delivery of suitable information to the authorized person at the appropriate time and place, which is only feasible with a stable infrastructure. This paper presents an authentication scheme together with blockchain technology to provide a secure supply chain management system. The presented authentication mechanism is based on standard KERBOROS scheme which is a ticket-based scheme. The scheme is evaluated by BAN logic which shows that it is an effective scheme in terms of improved response time and encryption/decryption time along with key generation time. © 2023 IEEE.

In an era of heightened digital interconnectedness, businesses increasingly rely on third-party vendors to enhance their operational capabilities. However, this growing dependency introduces significant security risks, making it crucial to develop a robust framework to mitigate potential vulnerabilities. This paper proposes a comprehensive secure framework for managing third-party vendor risk, integrating blockchain technology to ensure transparency, traceability, and immutability in vendor assessments and interactions. By leveraging blockchain, the framework enhances the integrity of vendor security audits, ensuring that vendor assessments remain up-to-date and tamperproof. This proposed framework leverages smart contracts to reduce human error while ensuring real-time monitoring of compliance and security controls. By evaluating critical security controls - such as data encryption, access control mechanisms, multi-factor authentication, and zero-trust architecture - this approach strengthens an organization's defense against emerging cyber threats. Additionally, continuous monitoring enabled by blockchain ensures the immutability and transparency of vendor compliance processes. In this paper, a case study on iHealth's transition to AWS Cloud demonstrates the practical implementation of the framework, showing a significant reduction in vulnerabilities and marked improvement in incident response times. Through the adoption of this blockchain-enabled approach, organizations can mitigate vendor risks, streamline compliance, and enhance their overall security posture. Our findings highlight the importance of employing blockchain to enforce security controls and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. A cataract is one of the most significant eye problems worldwide that does not immediately impair vision and progressively worsens over *** cataract prediction based on various imaging technologies has been addressed recently,such as smartphone apps used for remote health monitoring and eye *** recent years,advances in diagnosis,prediction,and clinical decision support using Artificial Intelligence(AI)in medicine and ophthalmology have been *** to privacy concerns,a lack of data makes applying artificial intelligence models in the medical field *** address this issue,a federated learning framework named CDFL based on a VGG16 deep neural network model is proposed in this *** study collects data from the Ocular Disease Intelligent Recognition(ODIR)database containing 5,000 patient *** significant features are extracted and normalized using the min-max normalization *** the federated learning-based technique,the VGG16 model is trained on the dataset individually after receiving model updates from two *** transferring the attributes to the global model,the suggested method trains the local *** global model subsequently improves the technique after integrating the new *** client analyses the results in three rounds to decrease the over-fitting *** experimental result shows the effectiveness of the federated learning-based technique on a Deep Neural Network(DNN),reaching a 95.28%accuracy while also providing privacy to the patient’s *** experiment demonstrated that the suggested federated learning model outperforms other traditional methods,achieving client 1 accuracy of 95.0%and client 2 accuracy of 96.0%.

Facial Emotion Recognition is one of the in-demand and rapidly growing research topics in the domain of computer Vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI). The ability to identify or detect human emotions from real-time facial expressions (FEs) has vast conceivable applications in different domains, such as sentiment analysis, human-computer interaction, human resource management, security, and human psychology. In this paper, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based deep learning model is trained with haar-cascade classifier to recognize the real-time FEs. The suggested model is specially trained to categorize the FEs into one of the seven emotion categories, namely six basic emotions (sad, happy, angry, surprised, disgusted, fear) and a neutral emotion. It includes several convolutional layers, as well as fully connected neurons followed by max-pooling layers, and soft-max activation function with the corresponding seven classes. ReLU activation functions along with various kernels to enhance filtering depth, and extraction of facial features. FER-2013 dataset is used for experimentation purpose. To improve the classification performance and model accuracy, a data augmentation technique is used for rescaling and horizontal flipping. The proposed model outperforms the previous related works by achieving a validation accuracy of 71.96% and training accuracy above 90%, with fewer epochs.

With the advancement and availability of the internet in the present age, everything is being wireless. Be it our home appliances or high defined monitoring systems, Wireless sensor networks play an important role. But with advancement comes a high probability of getting attacked. One of these attacks is the Blackhole attack (BHA), in which a node drains all the traffic towards itself and discards the data traffic without sending it towards the receiver. There exist multiple approaches that help to protect a network against BHA, but existing approaches have some drawbacks. Many proposed schemes make sure that the given technique uses less energy but failed to reduce the packet drop ratio. In the detection of BHA, the proposed scheme should not only detect defected nodes but also manages the efficiency. The proposed methodology used mobile agents with authentication of nodes and trust values to detect black hole nodes. The methodology is tested using different evaluation measures such as energy consumption, latency, network life, and packet delivery ratio. The proposed method uses a detection algorithm that increases energy consumption and hence networks lifetime. Packet delivery rate is increased by 19.51%, the energy consumption is reduced by 53.3%, and network life is increased by 43.3% as compared to the previous technique. © 2023 IEEE.

Predicting Concentration Levels of Air Pollutants by Transfer Learning and Recurrent Neural Network

Air pollution (AP) poses a great threat to human health, and people are paying more attention than ever to its prediction. Accurate prediction of AP helps people to plan for their outdoor activities and aids protecting human health. In this paper, long-short term memory (LSTM) recurrent neural networks (RNNs) have been used to predict the future concentration of air pollutants (APS) in Macau. Additionally, meteorological data and data on the concentration of APS have been utilized. Moreover, in Macau, some air quality monitoring stations (AQMSs) have less observed data in quantity, and, at the same time, some AQMSs recorded less observed data of certain types of APS. Therefore, the transfer learning and pre-trained neural networks have been employed to assist AQMSs with less observed data to build a neural network with high prediction accuracy. The experimental sample covers a period longer than 12-year and includes daily measurements from several APS as well as other more classical meteorological values. Records from five stations, four out of them are AQMSs and the remaining one is an automatic weather station, have been prepared from the aforesaid period and eventually underwent to computational intelligence techniques to build and extract a prediction knowledge-based system. As shown by experimentation, LSTM RNNs initialized with transfer learning methods have higher prediction accuracy;it incurred shorter training time than randomly initialized recurrent neural networks. Sorting and searching are critical processes for effecttive data analysis. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of various sorting and searching algorithms and compare their time and space complexities on both sorted and unsorted data. The algorithms we analyzed include six common sorting algorithms (insertion, radix, bucket, merge, bubble, and quick sort) and three search algorithms (linear, binary, and jump search). The results of our study provide insights into the best algorithms to use for different input sizes and types of data. It was found that for small input sizes, all algorithms perform similarly, but for larger input sizes, insertion and radix sorts are better for time complexity while bubble sort is better for space complexity. Additionally, jump search outperformed linear and binary search algorithms in both time and space complexity. Besides, difference between time and space complexity of sorted and unsorted data was significant. © 2023 IEEE.

Bayesian networks are powerful analytical models in machine learning, used to represent probabilistic relationships among variables and create learning structures. These networks are made up of parameters that show conditional probabilities and a structure that shows how random variables interact with each other. The structure is shown by a directed acyclic graph. Despite the NP-hard nature of learning Bayesian network structures, there has been significant progress in improving the accuracy of approximation solutions. The main focus is on score-based search strategies, which make use of functions to evaluate network models and identify structures with high scores. This study is significantly focused on structure learning Bayesian networks using the Bayesian Dirichlet equivalent uniform scoring function and metaheuristic search strategies. To this end, this paper presents the sparrow optimization algorithm (SOA), a new metaheuristic algorithm derived from the foraging behavior of sparrows. SOA performs a concurrent optimization in the solution space by simultaneously performing a local and global search that leads to the discovery of near-optimal structures. The results from our experiments on several benchmark datasets show that SOA yields overall better performance than SA and greedy search algorithms. In particular, it is claimed that by applying the proposed approach of SOA, the convergence speed is significantly higher compared with the existing ones;F1 score is 0.35 and 0.05 for the Hamming distance with better results. Given these results, signed operators prove to be very efficient in SOA’s Bayesian network structure learning as a concept, especially for real-world use. © (2024), (Society of Sytematic Innovation).
