The analysis of various sources has been carried out, confirming the demand for protective solutions against information threats from fake websites of organizations. The relevance of the research topic is confirmed by the presence of addresses similar in spelling to popular educational Internet resources in the list of domain names of the RU zone registered over the past year. When developing security solutions, it is proposed to use a site verifying the genuineness method based on the use of machine learning algorithms. A review of research by various authors has been conducted in order to determine the most frequently used features for verifying the genuineness of Internet resources in the machine learning models. The authors propose their own verifying the genuineness features that can be used in a situation where data about an Internet resource is extracted from the domain name registry. The proposed features differ from the known ones in that they contain signs of micro-markup on the site and storage of site settings files for search engines on servers. The developed features were tested using a naive Bayesian classifier as a machine learning algorithm. The proposed features can be used in the implementation of a software tool to counteraction threats from fake educational sites. © 2024 IEEE.

Febrile disease modeling and diagnosis system for optimizing medical decisions in resource-scarce settings

Febrile diseases are highly prevalent in tropical regions due to elevated humidity and high temperatures. These regions, mainly comprising low- and middle-income countries, often face challenges related to inadequate medical infrastructure and a lack of skilled personnel for accurately diagnosing febrile diseases. Distinguishing one febrile illness from another posed a significant challenge, adding to the complexity of accurate diagnoses. This study developed a multi-symptom multi-disease model to address this challenge, leveraging exploratory data analysis of patient datasets from field studies and the expertise of medical practitioners specializing in tropical diseases. The research investigated the most effective modeling approach for differentiating among 11 febrile illnesses that are prevalent in Nigeria using three intelligent techniques: Extreme Gradient Boost (XGBoost), Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM), and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Comparative analysis demonstrates that AHP surpassed the others, achieving a precision of 84%, recall of 83%, and an F1-score of 84%. Consequently, the AHP technique was integrated into the development of “Febra Diagnostica,” an app aimed at enhancing febrile disease diagnosis in resource-constrained settings. The app was then deployed and utilized in select Nigerian states, offering scalability and empowering frontline health workers in primary health facilities. Febra Diagnostica featured user-friendly interfaces, automated diagnosis and treatment suggestions, streamlined referrals, and provisions for further investigations. Encryption, access control, and multi-factor authentication were some of the security and privacy considerations in the app which gained acceptance from medical experts and adapted to regulatory and ethical policies for smart healthcare systems. © 2023

Regarding delay-induced predator-prey models, much research has been done on delayed destabilization, but whether delays are stabilizing or destabilizing is a subtle issue. In this study, we investigate predator-prey dynamics affected by both delays and the Allee effect. We analyze the consequences of delays in different feedback mechanisms. The existence of a Hopf bifurcation is studied, and we calculate the value of the delay that leads to the Hopf bifurcation. Furthermore, applying the normal form theory and a center manifold theorem, we consider the direction and stability of the Hopf bifurcation. Finally, we present numerical experiments that validate our theoretical analysis. Interestingly, depending on the chosen delay mechanism, we find that delays are not necessarily destabilizing. The Allee effect generally increases the stability of the equilibrium, and when the Allee effect involves a delay term, the stabilization effect is more pronounced.
