Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified >250 loci for body mass index (BMI), implicating pathways related to neuronal biology. Most GWAS loci represent clusters of common, noncoding variants from which pinpointing causal genes remains challenging. Here we combined data from 718,734 individuals to discover rare and low-frequency (minor allele frequency (MAF) < 5%) coding variants associated with BMI. We identified 14 coding variants in 13 genes, of which 8 variants were in genes (ZBTB7B, ACHE, RAPGEF3, RAB21, ZFHX3, ENTPD6, ZFR2 and ZNF169) newly implicated in human obesity, 2 variants were in genes (MC4R and KSR2) previously observed to be mutated in extreme obesity and 2 variants were in GIPR. The effect sizes of rare variants are ~10 times larger than those of common variants, with the largest effect observed in carriers of an MC4R mutation introducing a stop codon (***35Ter, MAF = 0.01%), who weighed ~7 kg more than non-carriers. Pathway analyses based on the variants associated with BMI confirm enrichment of neuronal genes and provide new evidence for adipocyte and energy expenditure biology, widening the potential of genetically supported therapeutic targets in obesity.

This paper presents a 60 GHz CPW-fed patch antenna on multilayer LTCC- and LCP-based materials with new and compact AMC. The proposed antenna structure consists of top three layers of antenna and bottom three layers of AMC ground plane. First, a new and compact three-layer AMC is designed on both LTCC- and LCP-based substrates. The designed AMC is more compact and provides 37.5% higher in-phase bandwidth as compared to a state-of-the-art design. Then, a three-layer CPW-fed patch antenna is designed and optimized on LTCC- and LCP-based substrates on top of the three-layer AMC ground plane of the same material. We perform a gain-bandwidth comparative study of antennas on multilayer LTCC- and LCP-based substrates with AMC/PEC ground planes for 60 GHz. We observe that antennas on LCP-based substrate outperform those on LTCC-based substrate in terms of input impedance, bandwidth, and gains on both AMC and PEC ground planes, while antennas on LTCC-based substrate have smaller antenna and AMC dimensions.

This paper put forwards a study on the development of navigation and guidance systems for AUV. The restriction in AUV model and estimation on the degree of freedom are recognized as the common problem in AUV's navigation and guidance systems. In this respect a linear model, derived from the linearization using the Jacobian matrix, will be utilized. The so obtained linear model is then estimated by the Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF). The implementation of EnKF algorithm on the linear model is carried out by establishing two simulations, namely by generating 300 and 400 ensembles, respectively. The simulations exhibit that the generation of 400 ensembles will give more accurate results in comparison to the generation of 300 ensembles. Furthermore, the best simulation yields the tracking accuracy between the real and simulated trajectories, in translational modes, is in the order of 99.88%, and in rotational modes is in the order of 99.99%. © 2015 IEEE.

The selection and prioritization of software requirements represents an area of interest in Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE) and its main focus is finding and selecting a set of requirements that may be part of a software release. This paper presents a systematic review and mapping that investigated, analyzed, categorized and classified the SBSE approaches that have been proposed to address software requirement selection and prioritization problems, reporting quantitative and qualitative assessment. Initially 39 papers returned from our search strategy in this area and they were analyzed by 18 previously established quality criteria. The results of this systematic review show which aspects of the requirements selection and prioritization problems were addressed by researchers, which approaches and search techniques are currently adopted to address these problems, as well as the strengths and weaknesses in this research area highlighted from the quality criteria. © 2014 Elsevier Inc. This study aims to analyze the potential aplication of of palm oil-based foaming agent as peat fires fighter in Indonesia. From literature review, it has been known that the foaming agent able to form foam to extinguish fire, wrap and refrigerate the burning peat. It is necessary to develop the production and application of foaming agent in Indonesia because peat fires occur almost every year that caused smoke haze. Potential raw material for the production of environmental friendly foaming agent as foam extinguishing for peat fires in Indonesia aong other is palm oil due to abundant availability, sustainable, and foam product easily degraded in the environment of the burnt areas. Production of foaming agent as fire-fighting in Indonesia is one alternative to reduce the time to control the fire and smog disaster impact. Application of palm oil as a raw material for fire-fighting is contribute to increase the value added and the development of palm oil downstream industry.

Recently, a modified data hiding scheme based on pixel value differencing and improving exploiting modification directions is proposed by Shen and Huang. There are two major contributions in this scheme. One is to enhance the embedding rate and good embedding capacity and the other is an optimization problem used to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. In fact, they propose the similar brute force method to solve overflow/underflow problem in their proposed scheme. To overcome the overflow/underflow problem exactly, we will propose the close form to solve this problem in this paper. Then, an improvement data hiding scheme based on FFEMD (Formula Fully Exploiting Modification Directions) and pixel value differencing method is proposed. According to our analysis, it is not only to keep the advantages of Shen-Huang scheme but also to use the close form to solve the overflow/ underflow problem.

Preparation and Characterization of Microwave-absorption of Sarulla North Sumatra Zeolite and Ferric Oxide-filled Polyurethane Nanocomposites

Microwave-absorptive polymeric composite materials are becoming important to protect interference of any communication systems due to the increase in the use of microwave-inducing devices. In this work, the microwave-absorptive polyurethane composites are prepared using natural zeolites of Sarulla North Sumatra and commercial ferric-oxide as fillers. Weight ratio of the natural zeolite to ferric oxide were varied (18:2; 16:4; 14:6; 12:8 and 10:10) by weight. The fillers are prepared using ball milling technique and characterized using Particle Size Analyzer for particle size distribution. The nanocomposites, prepared using in-situ reaction of polyethylene glycol and toluene diisocyanate, is characterized for physical and mechanical properties using tensile strength, thermal properties with TGA techniques, as well as morphological and chemical properties using scanning electron microscopy. Composition and loading of the nanofillers against polyurethane matrices is 20% by weight. Microwave-absorption properties of the nanocomposites is characterized using 8-12 GHz frequency. Tensile strengths of the natural zeolite-ferric oxides polyurethane nanocomposites shows higher values when matrices filled with lower ferric-oxide, which could be due to the nanozeolites have functioned as reinforcement for the polyurethane matrix through polar-polar interaction between the filler surfaces with the matrices. The microwave absorption properties, which investigated by Vector Network Analyzer, of the nanocomposites filled in polyurethane with the ratio of nanozeolite to ferric oxide filler of 12:8 shows reflection loss of – 13.2 dB. This condition was observed at 11.1 GHz.
