In recent years, a lot of research concerns with the wireless sensor networks (WSN). With the increasing usages of WSN applications such as health care and disaster reporting, security requirements, wireless communication has become more critical. Researchers of intrusion detection system on WSN have suggested that systems' detecting mechanisms would likely affect their detections effective and lifetime of whole networks. Ontology can collect and organize the attributes of attacks However, those methods have empirically documented the link between ontology concept and lightweight Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is scant. Therefore, the aim of this paper attempts to explore how intrusion detection system about ontology and light-weight IDS are related. The manager constructs relationship of sensor nodes on ontology to detect Sybil attack. Combine light-weight IDS the ranger method to reduce energy consumption and the isolation tables avoid detecting anomaly repeatedly. We proposed a lightweight ontology-based IDS, which improves existence shortcomings of IDS on WSN effectively. © 2011 IEEE.

A usability study on personalized EPG (pEPG) UI of digital TV

As the use of digital television (D-TV) has spread across the globe, usability problems on D-TV have become an important issue. However, so far, very little has been done in the usability studies on D-TV. The aim of this study is developing evaluation methods for the user interface (UI) of a personalized electronic program guide (pEPG) of D-TV, and evaluating the UI of a working prototype of pEPG using this method. To do this, first, the structure of the UI system and navigation for a working prototype of pEPG was designed considering the expanded channel. Secondly, the evaluation principles as the usability method for a working prototype of pEPG were developed. Third, labbased usability testing for a working prototype of pEPG was conducted with these evaluation principles. The usability problems founded by usability testing were reflected to improve the UI of a working prototype of pEPG. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.

Propranolol hydrochloride can be considered a persistent and bioaccumulative pharmaceutical in the *** drug and its by-products are potentially toxic and have adverse effects,since these compounds have been associated with endocrine-disrupting effects,reproductive deficiencies,embryo abnormalities and pericardial ***_(2)–La 0.05%–carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin(CMCD)nanoparticles were successfully prepared by a simple two-step method,which consists of sonification and *** characterization analyses reveal that lanthanum is dispersed on the semiconductor surface,probably forming Ti–O–La bonds,which can induce oxygen vacancies and surface defects that effectively restrain the recombination of photogenerated electron/holes *** efficiency of TiO_(2)–La 0.05%–CMCD samples in degradation of propranolol under UV-light irradiation is higher than that of pristine TiO_(2) within 20 min reaction,probably due to complex formation between theβ-blocker and the oligosaccharide,which allows us to propose a photocatalytic mechanism based on the formation of intermediates and competition of these compounds to the radicals and CMCD cavities.

Factor analysis is used to reduce data or summarize, from the old variable which is widely changed to a few new variables called factors, and still contains most of the information contained in the original variable. While regression analysis studies the relationship between one or more variables/independent variables (X) with one dependent variable (Y).The purpose of this paper is to describe how the factor analysis method can be used to provide solutions to operational problems such as problems with public transportation services with online applications, for this reason the research was conducted in identifying what factors influence the quality of online applications, and henceforth can be used in building mathematical models that can explain practical applications and predictions in the future. This research is explained in a quantitative descriptive form using exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis methods to process primary data and build models. The conclusion of this study is that there are 22 indicators and three factors that determine the quality of the application. The three factors produced are system and information factors, user impact factors, and promotion factors. These three factors can henceforth become a model in determining customer satisfaction as an end user of public transportation with an online application. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Data that has many attributes or higher dimensions will affect the performance of the K-NN classification algorithm. In this study, the Gain Ratio implemented for selecting and reducing the dataset attributes to form a new dataset for the classification process is carried out with the K-NN. The dataset used in this study are the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset and Hepatitis C Virus dataset obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The results showed that the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset, Gain Ratio can improve the performance of K-NN with average value 0.535596 TPR, TNR = 1, NPV = 0.608279, FNR = 1, FOR = 0.391721, Accuracy = 72.85%. In Hepatitis C Virus dataset also managed to improve the performance of K-NN with average value TPR = 0.665596, TNR = 0,876667, NPV=0,738279, FNR=0,88, FOR=0,521721, and Accuracy=86,25%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The data mining process requires a data set that can be used in determining a number of specific patterns to gain new knowledge. Large data sets (Big data) require special methods to get effective results. Included in this study are using big data related to the earthquake in Lombok. Earthquake research, especially in Lombok, is needed because Lombok is on three active plates in Indonesia, so that the danger of earthquake damage can be minimized. Earthquake data obtained from the Geophysical Station (BMKG) of Mataram has different characteristics and is complex, an appropriate method is needed, namely by detecting a non-parametric method with the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS). The use of the backward stepwise algorithm with the Conical Quadratic programming (CQP) framework of MARS, referred to as CMARS (Conic Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines), is used for optimizing the results. The conclusions of this study are 1. A mathematical model with a total of 12 basis functions (BF) has contributed to the prediction analysis of the PGA dependent variable. 2. Contributions of the influence of independent variables on the PGA value are the epicenter distance (R e pi) of 100% and the Magnitude (Mw) of 31.08608%, while the temperature of the incident location (SUHU) of 5.48525% and depth (Depth) of 3,52988%. 3. Acquired areas that haveearthquake hazard levels in the order of the most vulnerable are Malaka, Genggelang, Tegal Maja, Senggigi and Mangsit. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Data mining is an analytical process of knowledge discovery in large and complex data sets. Many studies wish to explore data, to find information so that knowledge can be obtained through the grouping process, classification, rules discovery, associations and data mining visualization which shows similarity. Periodic data often occurs in business applications and sciences that has big size, high dimension and continuously updated. The similarity in periodic data is based on several approaches. One of common approaches is to transform periodic series into other domains so that dimensions are reduced, followed by index mechanism. Many studies of time series do not give optimal result because limited to extracting data not able to represent time series and its pattern which is then change into rules. Rules can be found in time series data, but they are still constrained by over fitting and difficult to present. It causes time series data and non linier function of data mining decision can't be optimal. The basic idea in the method proposed is to do periodic discretization for sub-sequential formation. These sub-sequences are grouped through a measure of similarity. The simple rule-finding technique is applied to obtain hidden rules in the temporal pattern. The optimal time series data expected to generate the uncertainty trend, previously unknown and can be used to make decisions or forecasting in the future. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A significant number of cloud storage environments are already implementing deduplication *** to the nature of the cloud environment,a storage server capable of accommodating large-capacity storage is *** storage capacity increases,additional storage solutions are *** leveraging deduplication,you can fundamentally solve the cost ***,deduplication poses privacy concerns due to the structure *** this paper,we point out the privacy infringement problemand propose a new deduplication technique to solve *** the proposed technique,since the user’s map structure and files are not stored on the server,the file uploader list cannot be obtained through the server’s meta-information analysis,so the user’s privacy is *** addition,the personal identification number(PIN)can be used to solve the file ownership problemand provides advantages such as safety against insider breaches and sniffing *** proposed mechanism required an additional time of approximately 100 ms to add a IDRef to distinguish user-file during typical deduplication,and for smaller file sizes,the time required for additional operations is similar to the operation time,but relatively less time as the file’s capacity grows.

Seasonally Dry Tropical Forests (SDTFs) may act as considerable carbon sinks, regulating the atmospheric and terrestrial carbon storage and fluxes with implications for local, regional and global climates. In the Caatinga, an endemic Brazilian SDTF, the research on the magnitude of the CO₂ sink is still incipient. To address this gap, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of observed CO₂ fluxes using the Eddy Covariance technique across the Caatinga, quantifying and assessing the seasonal and interannual variations in CO₂ exchange under contrasting soil and climatic conditions. In our study we estimated whether the Caatinga functioned as a net source or sink of carbon at five sites during years with varying rates of rainfall. Results showed that the dynamics of CO₂ flux components varied based on the spatio-temporal distribution and magnitude of rainfall and the corresponding variations in vegetation cover. Average annual accumulated Gross Primary Productivity ranged from 1167 g C m⁻² in the Crystalline area to 2018 g C m⁻² in the Agreste ecotone. Average annual Net Ecosystem Exchange was -775 g C m⁻² (-7.7 t C ha⁻¹). The Caatinga exhibited higher carbon use efficiency (CUE) compared to other dry forests in arid and semi-arid regions worldwide and to South American ecosystems, including the Amazon, as documented by FLUXNET2015 eddy covariance datasets. CUE values ranged from 0.31 in the Crystalline area to 0.58 in the Agreste ecotone. These findings provide robust, measurement-based evidence that the Caatinga is a highly efficient carbon sink, substantially contributing to atmospheric CO₂ absorption and mitigating the growth rate of atmospheric CO₂ concentration. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

In this paper,an SIRS epidemic model using Grunwald-Letnikov fractional-order derivative is formulated with the help of a nonlinear system of fractional differential equations to analyze the effects of fear in the population during the outbreak of deadly infectious *** criteria for the spread or extinction of the disease are derived and discussed on the basis of the basic reproduction *** condition for the existence of Hopf bifurcation is discussed considering fractional order as a bifurcation ***,using the Grunwald-Letnikov approximation,the simulation is carried out to confirm the validity of analytic results *** the real data of COVID-19 in India recorded during the second wave from 15 May 2021 to 15 December 2021,we estimate the model parameters and find that the fractional-order model gives the closer forecast of the disease than the classical *** the analytical results and numerical simulations presented in this study suggest different policies for controlling or eradicating many infectious diseases.
