Parkia speciosa seeds, a widely consumed plant in Southeast Asia, are known for their rich bioactive compounds with potential health benefits. This study investigates the antioxidant properties of ethanol extracts from P. speciosa leaves (PSL) and seeds (PSS) to combat oxidative stress. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assays, revealing that PSL exhibited higher antioxidant potential than PSS, with values of 14.34 ± 0.02 and 19.39 ± 0.04 μg ascorbic acid equivalent (AAE)/g extract, respectively. The ethanol extracts of PSL and PSS significantly protected HT22 cells from erastin-induced ferroptotic cell death and activated the antioxidant response element (ARE) pathway, enhancing endogenous antioxidant defense mechanisms. Furthermore, in silico molecular docking analysis identified 7,7′-Dihydroxy-5′‑methoxy-2′,2′-dimethyl-4-oxo-3′,4′-dihydro-2′H,4H-3,6′-bichromen-5-yl hexopyranosiduronic acid as a promising bioactive compound with strong binding affinities to oxidative stress-related receptors (5i6x, 6cm4, 2f8a, 8bxn, and 8ivr). These findings suggest that P. speciosa ethanol extract, particularly from its leaves, exhibits strong antioxidant and neuroprotective properties, supporting its potential application as a natural therapeutic agent for oxidative stress-related disorders.

Seasonally Dry Tropical Forests (SDTFs) may act as considerable carbon sinks, regulating the atmospheric and terrestrial carbon storage and fluxes with implications for local, regional and global climates. In the Caatinga, an endemic Brazilian SDTF, the research on the magnitude of the CO₂ sink is still incipient. To address this gap, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of observed CO₂ fluxes using the Eddy Covariance technique across the Caatinga, quantifying and assessing the seasonal and interannual variations in CO₂ exchange under contrasting soil and climatic conditions. In our study we estimated whether the Caatinga functioned as a net source or sink of carbon at five sites during years with varying rates of rainfall. Results showed that the dynamics of CO₂ flux components varied based on the spatio-temporal distribution and magnitude of rainfall and the corresponding variations in vegetation cover. Average annual accumulated Gross Primary Productivity ranged from 1167 g C m⁻² in the Crystalline area to 2018 g C m⁻² in the Agreste ecotone. Average annual Net Ecosystem Exchange was -775 g C m⁻² (-7.7 t C ha⁻¹). The Caatinga exhibited higher carbon use efficiency (CUE) compared to other dry forests in arid and semi-arid regions worldwide and to South American ecosystems, including the Amazon, as documented by FLUXNET2015 eddy covariance datasets. CUE values ranged from 0.31 in the Crystalline area to 0.58 in the Agreste ecotone. These findings provide robust, measurement-based evidence that the Caatinga is a highly efficient carbon sink, substantially contributing to atmospheric CO₂ absorption and mitigating the growth rate of atmospheric CO₂ concentration. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Every organization must ensure that information assets are protected and information security system has been implemented well. PT. IndoDev Niaga Internet is a provider of business solutions applications and implementation services that include application Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). In order to ensure the security of the information, then in 2015 PT. IndoDev Niaga Internet implement ISO 27001: 2013. Through the implementation of ISO 27001: 2013, it is expected that information can be properly maintained, which in turn will affect the business continuity. Companies need to know the extent to which the process has been applied and what actions can be done to improve the performance of the application of ISO 27001: 2013. Factor analysis was conducted first to determine the factors that affect to the information security. After the factors that affect to the information security known, then observation and interview conducted to gather data about PT. IndoDev Niaga Internet ISO 27001:2013 implementation according to the factors that affect. And then recommendation and corrective action developed using gap analysis method. The most influential factor to the security of customer information PT. IndoDev Niaga Internet is a factor access control and security operations. For the audit results IS027001: 2013 from the aspect of access control, they found 11 check items that fit into the category of NC (Non-Conformance) of 33 check items in which 9 of them in the category of major and two remaining categories minor, while for operations security aspects of the 12 check items, found 5 that goes into the category of NC (Non-Conformance) and everything was included into the category of minor. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A methodology for the rigorous management of service (performance) requirements on a computer system is introduced utilizing statistical theory. Random sampling techniques coupled with non-parametric probability inequalities are introduced as the major tool for use by the performance manager (analyst) in reporting and controlling the performance of a computer system. From the manager's perspective, the mean response time and the standard deviation of the response time are the only two parameters of processed workload of interest in this approach. Population growth and development of city activities take some lands to carry them. As a result, land use competition happens among persons, society or sector. Land necessity for settlement, industry, or sector has taken over farm land, therefore farm land has been converted intensively and massively. Chronologically, population growth will cause land necessity increase. Unproductive land, especially farm land will be converted. Furthermore, farm land conversion will cause carrying capacity change. Carrying capacity has certain bio capacity. With the population growth, it will increase resource consumption;on the other side, farm land conversion will decrease carrying capacity. The objective of the study is to know about the influence of population growth towards carrying capacity (bio capacity) in Semarang city. Land consumption per capita is indeed influenced by city population, the higher the population is, the lower the land consumption per capita. With the population growth, it will influence carrying capacity. Carrying capacity here is the ratio of area to population. Analytical descriptive method is applied in the study with all sub-districts in Semarang city as the analysis unit. Population here is sub-district area and population per sub-district in Semarang city. Population growth data period is from 2000 until 2015. Main variables of the study are area per sub-district, population, population growth, carrying capacity. Result of the study shows significant influence of carrying capacity decrease, especially some outskirts in Semarang city. This condition happens because the outskirts in Semarang city tend to have dense population growth. Range of carrying capacity in Semarang city is from 0,007 to 0,117 of 0 to 1. Almost all sub-districts in Semarang city show miserable condition, except Mijen and Tugu. The conclusion of the study is that population will decrease carrying capacity. Digital road maps have gained fundamental role in population's daily life, so they need to be accurate and up-to-date. A viable solution is to generate maps by processing GPS data. However, one of the most challenging tasks regarding this approach is how to extract road centerlines from the cloud of georeferenced GPS points. The literature presents various methods that do it, but none have been found that is prepared for the continuous update of the map and refinement of its roads' accuracy. In this context, the objective of this work is to propose a method to identify road centerlines using an evolutive algorithm in order to generate and update road maps. This work uses as source of data GPS traces collected by smartphones. Although suitable to obtain a large amount of georeferenced data, these devices bring the additional problem of identifying the transport vehicle used along each trace. Preliminary results indicate that the method's performance is satisfactory, with an average variation of 2.95 meters in relation to satellite images.

The Internet of Things (IoT) was evaluated as part of this study. The IoT system in this study is the air quality monitoring system. The system consists of three layers, three end devices with air quality monitoring sensors as the perception layer, the LoRaWAN network as the network layer, and the monitoring website as the presentation layer. Before being made available to the public, IoT hardware and software must undergo testing. For IoT systems, there are no established standards or quality criteria. This study's goal is to evaluate the methodology for an air quality monitoring system. Website speed is measured using Pingdom tools. The website received a performance grade of B. Pingdom offers advice for enhancing website performance. Sucuri is utilized as a security test tool to evaluate the website's security, and consequently, no malware was discovered. The latency and data dependability are monitored to assess the system's performance fully. The outcome demonstrates that all system components consistently and accurately receive data with a latency of less than 1 s. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper describes the design of smart village that can be describe as an indicator for the smart village in Indonesia, where the Indonesian population is now more than 250 million peoples. with several islands as much as 17, 504 islands, consisting of 53.3% were in urban areas, the rest spread in rural areas, but it will turn around if there is no solution currently to address the disparity in the village in terms of infrastructure and technology. One of the concepts can be applied to overcome these problems is "Smart Village". Conducting a study of four villages on the island of Java in Indonesia, which was awarded the village of Information Technology, the study aims to research the indicators that make the village as the village of Information Technology. By using the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture analysis, the result of study are the components that exist in the ICT village winners and what the other components needs to complement the design of smart village which can be a reference in Indonesia in future. © 2021 IEEE.

Sign language Recognition is the study to help bridging communication of deaf-mute people. Sign Language Recognition uses techniques to convert gestures of sign language into words or alphabet. In Indonesia, there are two types of sign languages which are used, Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia (BISINDO) and Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI). The purpose of this research is comparing sign language recognition methods between Gaussian Hidden Markov Model and Convolutional Neural Network using indonesian sign language SIBI as a dataset. The dataset comes from 200 videos from 2 signers. Each signer performs 10 signs with 10 repetitions. To improve the recognition accuracy, modified histogram equalization is used as an image enhancement. Skin detection was used to track the movement of the gesture as input features in the Gaussian Hidden Markov Model and fine tuning was used in Convolutional Neural Network using transfer learning, freeze layer, and dropout. The results of the research are the Gaussian Hidden Markov Model provides accuracy value of 84.6% and Convolutional Neural Network provides accuracy value of 82%. © 2021 IEEE.
