This paper introduces a novel data-driven economic model predictive control (EMPC) framework for linear time-invariant (LTI) systems, using Willems' Fundamental Lemma to describe system behavior with persistently exciting data. Our method incorporates terminal ingredients, including a terminal cost and terminal constraint, to ensure recursive feasibility and asymptotic stability. We detail the design procedure for these terminal ingredients within the data-driven EMPC context. The paper concludes by confirming the strong duality property, feasibility and stability of the economically optimal equilibrium in the closed-loop system. The proposed EMPC framework is validated through its application to an isothermal stirred-Tank reactor (CSTR), demonstrating its effectiveness. © 2024 IEEE.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of improving the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the longitudinal differential protection of a power transformer when using new types of current transformers such Rogowski Coils, optical current transformers (including digital ones) and their combinations with traditional current transformers. The results of studies of the characteristics of digital transformers are presented, also the heat, repeatability of construction and continuous operating conditions influence on it are shown. Based on anlysis for these studies possible improvements in the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the differential protection of the transformer are proposed. These improvements can increse the sensitivity and reliability for differential transformer protection. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, an 80-160 kV, 200 W high voltage power supply is designed and implemented. To overcome the insulation restrictions of the transformer used in the high voltage power supply, a resonant converter and a voltage multiplier circuit were used consecutively for the voltage boosting process. To utilize the parasitic capacitor of transformer becoming dominant due to the high turn ratio, an LCC type series-parallel resonant converter is used as the resonant converter. An optimization algorithm that optimizes efficiency and power density is developed to determine the resonant tank parameters. Bipolar Cockcroft-Walton Voltage Multiplier as the voltage multiplier is preferred due to the advantages of less secondary winding and lower voltage drop. The high voltage power supply design is verified with simulations and experimental results. © 2024 IEEE.

In Ivanovo State power engineering University (ISPEU, Ivanovo, Russia) digital instrument current and voltage transformers (DCVTs) has developed. Numerous studies and tests of DCVTs have been carried out;these devices already have operating experience in existing electrical facilities. However, some areas of application of DCVTs require additional research. The article presents a methodology for experimental study of 6(10) kV DCVTs under conditions of arc intermittent single-phase ground faults, a diagram of a test installation, as well as the results of testing the methodology. The article presents the quantitative characteristics of the modes obtained in laboratory conditions. The modes of arc intermittent single-phase ground faults and ferroresonance were simulated using electromagnetic measuring voltage transformers in the installation. However, during the experiments, some shortcomings in the methodology of the experiment were revealed. The article also indicates measures to improve the methodology for conducting further experimental studies of DCVTs. © 2023 IEEE.

The development of new products and services allows railway transport to constantly increase the fleet of specialised wagons, which, in comparison with the universal rolling stock, have the best technical and economic indicators. A significant part of cars is delivered by railways, and it is economically reasonable to transport them on a specialised rolling stock. In this regard, the development of a methodology for refined theoretical studies of the strength of bodies of a double-deck rolling stock for passenger cars transportation, the choice of appropriate design schemes and parameters of the bodies, the analysis of the frequencies and forms of their natural oscillations, taking into account the finite stiffness of the elements, are urgent research tasks. The research uses the methods of structural mechanics of rod systems, the applied theory of elasticity, and discrete masses. A wide range of frequencies and forms of the natural free oscillations was obtained using the discrete mass method for a structural scheme with load transfer from the upper to the lower level of the wagon with the help of four racks. The applied methodology of theoretical determination of frequencies and forms of the natural free oscillations of the car transporter wagon by the method of discrete masses is effective. It allows for the estimation of the dynamic characteristics of the wagon. © The Author(s) 2024.

The paper proposes a switching multi-regulator control for an electro-hydraulic servo system with throttle regulation. The architecture of the multi-regulator control, composed of three conventional regulators (PID1, PI2, PI3) for different regions of the setpoint signal variation and switching logic, is discussed. The main issues arising from the use of such control are considered, and an analysis of the stability of the closed-loop system is conducted. Some mathematical formulas and descriptions are presented. Using a universal measurement and control module, graphical results for the quality of the designed control are obtained. The advantages of this type of control and the emergence of additional robust qualities of the system are experimentally proven. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper proposes a switching multiparametric control for an electrohydraulic servo system with throttle regulation. The architecture of a MISO (Multiple Input Single Output) control is considered, consisting of a conventional PID controller operating in the deviation control channel and a fuzzy PID controller operating in the disturbance channel. The main issues arising from the use of this type of control are discussed, and an analysis of the stability of the closed-loop system is conducted. Graphic results for the control quality of the designed system are obtained using a universal measurement and control module. The advantages of this type of control and the manifestation of additional robust qualities of the system are experimentally demonstrated. © 2024 IEEE.

The article is devoted to the development of new fault location algorithms based on emergency mode parameters at instantaneous values on overhead power transmission lines of 110 kV and above. Increasing the accuracy of fault location algorithms is an important and urgent task. The methodological and simulation errors of fault location are directly related to the configuration of the power transmission line. The presence of parallel power transmission lines, mutual induction or branch substations affects the accuracy of fault location. In this work, the authors modernize their own previously developed fault location algorithms based on instantaneous values for complex power transmission line configurations. The developed fault location algorithms do not require additional corrections or means for processing primary signals and can be successfully applied when using data from digital in-strumental transformers. The studies of the algorithms were carried out on the simulation models of the overhead power lines in the Simulink/MATLAB software package. The remote fault location of the damage was carried out according to the parameters of the emergency mode. The assignment of parameters for the simulation modeling is carried out using the Monte Carlo method with subsequent statistical processing of the results and the construction of a justified inspection zone. © 2025 IEEE.
