Ultra high-voltage (UHV) transmission construction involves live work, requires crossing long distances, and must overcome terrain and climate challenges. Therefore, to enhance the accuracy of UHV transmission construction progress prediction and address the issue of online early warning, an early warning method for UHV transmission construction progress based on the online support vector regression (Online SVR) algorithm is proposed. Utilizing the digital twin model of UHV transmission construction, principal component analysis is employed to extract and analyze key factors influencing construction progress, the Online SVR algorithm dynamically learns and predicts construction progress. The prediction results are compared with the planned construction warning line to provide early warnings of potential construction progress risks. Finally, the method is applied to an actual UHV transmission construction site to verify its effectiveness.

This comparative study between two topologies of three-phase grid-connected photovoltaic inverters, namely the single-stage inverter and the two-stage inverter, was modeled and simulated using Matlab Simulink. The control of the two-level inverter is by the synchronous reference frame method, and the tracker of the PV array power is by the incremental conductance MPPT algorithm. In this paper, performance analysis of PV grid-connected inverters based on the overall efficiency and harmonic distortion. The simulation results indicate satisfaction with the quality of the current and voltage inj ected into the electrical grid, where THD is according to the recommendations of the IEEE-519 standard, and both topologies are efficient, but the single-stage inverter performs better than the two-stage inverter.

Silicone rubber (SIR) has been widely used in the insulation of cable accessories due to its excellent performance. In this paper, pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites are thermally aged for 0-80 days at 200°C. The effects of long-term thermal aging on the space charge transport are analyzed. The results show that with the increase of thermal aging time, the accumulation of heteropolar charge of pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites gradually decreases and changes to the accumulation of homopolar charge. Compared with pure SIR, the space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites decreases significantly and changes little with the increase of thermal aging time. It is believed that when doped nano Al2O3 in SIR, the increase of carrier mobility and the introduction of metal oxides reacting with fallen free radicals to form stable compounds both lead to less space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites. © 2022 IEEE.

During last decade, a new class of business intelligence systems has emerged. It consists of natural language (NL) processing systems discovering significant business events in the news posted on the Web. The analysis shows that, very often, the descriptions of business events are metaphoric. E.g., the sentences describing the dynamics of various goods' prices may include the forms of the verbs 'to jump', 'to climb down', 'to crash down', etc. The paper suggests an original approach (and its software implementation) to designing intelligent monitoring systems looking for the changes of selected parameters (price, exchange rate, etc.) associated with a selected set of goods (feed wheat, aluminum, oil, etc.). The approach is based on formal semantics of the verbs characterizing the movement. The central idea is to use domain-independent formal representations of the verbs' semantics. With this aim, the powerful expressive means of the theory of K-representations (knowledge representations) are used. It is an original theory of designing semantic parsers of NL-s with the broad use of formal means for representing input, intermediary, and output data. TKR and its computer applications are described in numerous papers in English. TKR introduces a new class of formal languages - the class of SK-languages (standard knowledge languages). TKR is used in the paper in an optimized form, because the paper suggests a simplified (an optimized) form of its fist basic mathematical model (it describes a set of primary units of conceptual level and the relationships between them). With this aim, the notion of an optimized conceptual basis is introduced. © 2021 Croatian Society MIPRO.

Consensus is one of the most actively studied topics within the realm of multi-agent systems. It generally aims to drive flocks to achieve a common group objective. In this study, a Cucker-Smale model for consensus algorithm has been implemented to resolve the issue of flocking for power systems. By using this model, consensus can be achieved by randomly chosing the initial positions and velocities of the birds with a minimum number of iterations. Moreover, at the end the simulation results for 7 and 25 birds have been presented to confirm the convergence of the agent's average velocities and directions.

The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the design parameters, operational characteristics and performance evaluation of a modular step-down DC-DC converter. The converter is engineered for applications demanding high-output current, featuring an input voltage of 48 V and an output voltage of 1 V. When operating in the single-stage voltage regulator module (VRM), its modular architecture is optimized to minimize resistive losses. Noteworthy is the integration of an input capacitor divider to alleviate voltage stress of components. Additionally, special attention is given to the impact of parasitic parameters on the converter's performance. Through a meticulous examination of system topology, validated by observed current and voltage waveforms, and analytical comparison to classic interleave converters, this study elucidates the operational intricacies of the converter. The findings, anchored in the context of a MOSFET-based four-module converter rated for a maximum power output of 350 W at 1 V, provide valuable insights for the design and optimization of similar power conversion systems.

This paper proposes a Stackelberg game framework for managing an Energy Internet System that integrates renewable energy generation, energy conversion, and energy trading. The system comprises hubs controlled by competing energy companies, incorporating both external energy trading and peer-to-peer energy exchanges. It involves multiple stakeholders whose decisions are interdependent, creating challenges in decision-making. To tackle these challenges, we propose a networked Stackelberg game framework with two main objectives. First, from the energy companies' perspective, the companies make decisions by considering strategic interactions with other companies while accounting for the best responses of passive consumers within peer-to-peer constraints. Second, from the consumer side, consumers adjust their decisions based on their observations of the companies' strategies. The framework adopts a hierarchical decision-making structure in which energy companies act as leaders, formulating strategies that anticipate consumer demand responses, while competing within a Nash game. Meanwhile, consumer clusters, managed by demand management centers, modify their energy usage based on an incentive price mechanism. To search for the equilibrium, we develop an operator-theoretic approach that combines implicit gradient methods with proximal operator splitting techniques, and prove its convergence. Numerical studies and simulations on a combined IEEE 37-bus and gas source model with multiple energy hubs validate the model's effectiveness and the efficiency of the proposed algorithms. The results demonstrate the operational efficiency and strategic stability of the system, emphasizing the advantages of active market participation for both energy companies and consumers. © 2013 IEEE.

This paper introduces an automatic control method designed to enhance the operation of electric vehicles, besides the speed tracking objectives, by including reliability and lifetime requirements. The research considers an automotive power converter which supplies electric power to a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The primary control objective is to mitigate the thermal stress on the power electronic Insulate Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), while simultaneously ensuring effective speed tracking performance. To achieve these goals, we propose an extended H∞ design framework, which includes reliability models. The method is tested in two distinct scenarios: reliability-aware, and reliability-free cases. Furthermore, the paper conducts a lifetime analysis of the IGBTs, leveraging the Rainflow algorithm and temperature data. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Setting optimum process parameters for complex manufacturing processes such as ultrasonic wire bonding is already challenging for one target variable. Due to numerous influencing physical factors, such processes often lack the necessary detailed physical models. Due to the lack of these models, such processes cannot be adjusted to an optimum using classic optimization methods. In manufacturing processes in particular, the process must be optimized with regard to several objectives such as process time or quality. A popular method for optimizing such processes without models is multi-objective Bayesian optimization. For this purpose, surrogate models in the form of Gaussian processes are used in combination with a multi-objective acquisition function. In real processes, parallel function evaluation offers advantages in terms of trial efficiency and scalability. In this paper, we present a new algorithm for batch-constrained Bayesian multi-objective optimization. With this algorithm, an arbitrary number of function evaluations per iteration can be specified, whereby a more efficient determination of the Pareto front approximation can be achieved in real applications. For this purpose, the Expected Hypervolume Improvement is extended by a term to consider a quality criterion. Using the ultrasonic wire bonding process as an example, we experimentally prove that the proposed framework is able to approximate the Pareto front of the system with only a few function evaluations. For this purpose, the process capability index should be maximized and the process time minimized.
