This paper addresses the problem of robust iterative learning control design for a class of uncertain multiple-input multipleoutput discrete linear systems with actuator faults. The stability theory for linear repetitive processes is used to develop formulas for gain matrices design, together with convergent conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities. An extension to deal with model uncertainty of the polytopic or norm bounded form is also developed and an illustrative example is given.

This paper addresses the problem of robust stabilization for uncertain systems subject to input saturation and nonhomogeneous Markov *** uncertainties are assumed to be norm bounded and the transition probabilities are time-varying and *** expressing the saturated linear feedback law on a convex hull of a group of auxiliary linear feedback laws and the time-varying transition probabilities inside a polytope,we establish conditions under which the closed-loop system is asymptotically *** on these conditions,the problem of designing the state feedback gains for achieving fast transience response with a guaranteed size of the domain of attraction is formulated and solved as a constrained optimization problem with linear matrix inequality(LMI) *** results are then illustrated by a numerical example.

Developed decision support to production personnel system allows you to create an optimal schedule of placing orders for international production lines of various configurations. The system architecture consists of the operator interface, the information subsystem (plants, orders, equipment, types of polymeric materials, recipes, customers, and others), optimal planning module is based on a genetic algorithm, allowing to solve the problem of planning reconfigurable for different quality requirements, energy consumption and environmental requirements polymer production and materials. The efficiency of the system is checked by the example of Russian and German plants.

Fabrication and Characterization of a Single Electron Transistor Based on a Silicon-on-Insulator

A single electron transistor based on a silicon-on-insulator is successfully fabricated with electron-beam nano- lithography, inductively coupled plasma etching, thermal oxidation and other techniques. The unique design of the pattern inversion is used, and the pattern is transferred to be negative in the electron-beam lithography step. The oxidation process is used to form the silicon oxide tunneling barriers, and to further reduce the effective size of the quantum dot. Combinations of these methods offer advantages of good size controllability and accuracy, high reproducibility, low cost, large-area contacts, allowing batch fabrication of single electron transistors and good integration with a radio-frequency tank circuit. The fabricated single electron transistor with a quantum dot about 50nto in diameter is demonstrated to operate at temperatures up to 70K. The charging energy of the Coulomb island is about 12.5meV.

We report the fabrication and characterization of a single-layer graphene field-effect terahertz detector, which is cou- pled with dipole-like antennas based on the self-mixing detector model. The graphene is grown by chemical vapor deposi- tion and then transferred onto an SiO2/Si substrate. We demonstrate room-temperature detection at 237 GHz. The detector could offer a voltage responsivity of 0.1 V/W and a noise equivalent power of 207 nW/Hz 1/2. Our modeling indicates that the observed photovoltage in the p-type gated channel can be well fit by the self-mixing theory. A different photoresponse other than self-mixing may apply for the n-type gated channel.

In this paper, we address stability and robustness properties of hybrid limit cycles for a class of hybrid systems with multiple jumps in one period. The main results entail equivalent characterizations of stability of hybrid limit cycles for hybrid systems. The hybrid limit cycles may have multiple jumps in one period and the jumps are allowed to occur on sets. This paper studies the problem of robust decentralized control for a class of large-scale interconnected systems subject to uncertainties and disturbances via a generalized active disturbance rejection control method. First, a novel extended state observer(ESO) is constructed separately for each subsystem with less dependence of the precise system information and structure. Second, an explicit formula of the decentralized active disturbance rejection control(DADRC) law is presented by utilizing the output feedback domination approach. It is shown that by a delicate analysis procedure, the closed-loop system can be rendered semi-globally asymptotically stable only using decentralized output feedback anti-disturbance controller. Numerical simulations show the efficiency of the proposed method.

This paper introduces and generalizes a class of multilevel dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) for voltage sags/swells compensation of high-power sensitive loads. Such a device can improve the power quality of sensitive loads located in stiff systems. The proposed DVR is based on three-phase bridge converters series-connected by means of cascaded transformers using the concept of open-end winding (OEW). Hence, two DC-links can provide either symmetrical (i.e., equal DC-link voltages) or asymmetrical (i.e., different DC-link voltages) operation of the DVR converters. Generalization for K-stages is presented as well. The proposed configuration is named as DVR-COEW (i.e., cascaded open-end winding). Such a topology permits to generate a maximized number of voltage levels per converter leg. The multilevel waveforms at the output voltages of the converter are generated by using a suitable PWM strategy associated with both: i) DC-link voltages ratio and ii) transformers turns ratio. Modularity and simple maintenance make the proposed DVR-COEW an attractive solution compared to some conventional configurations. The model and PWM control are addressed in this paper. Simulation and experimental results are presented.

Size and color are two important indexes to measure the external quality of apples. The current apple size and color detection methods are mostly designed on PC platform, which are difficult to be popularized to smaller companies and growers for the high expense. This research designed and implemented a novel detection system based on embedded platform that covers full function of apple size and color detection but with much lower cost. The hardware of system was mainly composed of ARM11 processor, CMOS camera and stepping motor. The real-time image of apple was acquired by CMOS camera and diameter value was extracted from image as index of size after image preprocessing. Considering that HSI color model is more close to human visual perception than RGB color model, the RGB image acquired by the CMOS camera was transformed to HSI color model. The H component was calculated to determine the percents of red component, which was used for color grading of apple. Preliminary experiments show that the average detection time is 300ms, color detection accuracy is 90% and size (60∗60 pixel) detection accuracy is 93%, respectively. Compared with the traditional apple detection system, this system has the advantages of higher detection speed, lower cost, and smaller size. It will have a good prospect of application in apple quality detecting areas.
