As we already know, the IoT (Internet of Thing) system has developed and is used in many fields, such as agriculture, security, industry etc. The IoT system requires real time monitoring and this is one of the problems that exists today. Transfering data from the sensor via the internet network to a monitoring device must be less than 300 ms. One process that can cause non-fulfillment of these requirements is a method for displaying the data on a monitor. There are several methods for delivering data from the sensor to a monitor. This paper has been compared between two methods, namely the polling method and the websocket method. The experiment was conducted to compare these two method. The result obtained that the websocket method was better in presenting real time data compared to the polling method. It can be shown in bandwidth usage and memory usage. In the experiment was found that the average of bandwidth usage is 478KB for polling method, and 91KB for web socket method in web based and the memory consumption of websocket less as much as 16% compared to polling method. In android smartphone the average bandwidth usage is 5.1 KB for web socket method and 15 KB for polling method and the memory consumption of websocket less as much as 22% compared to polling method.

Abrupt time variations of the properties of optical materials have been at the center of intense research efforts in recent years, with the prospect of enabling extreme wave transformations and of leveraging time as a degree of freedom for wave control. While the most viable approach to yield ultrafast variations of the optical material response is through optical pumping of nonlinear media, the complex dynamics in these systems are not yet fully understood. Here, as a relevant case study, we rigorously investigate the pump-probe dynamics in a 310nm-thick transparent conductive oxide etalon, using a weak 40 femtosecond probe and a pump that displays peak power densities in the TW/cm2 range with a duration of a few femtoseconds. We examine the pump-probe interaction using a hydrodynamic-Maxwell approach that accounts for diffraction, self-focusing and -defocusing, self- and cross-phase modulation, probe gain, and linear and nonlinear material dispersion expanded in the perturbative regime up to 9th order for both pump and probe. By allowing the intricacies of the pump-probe interaction to proceed in time, we can also define an effective spatio-temporal permittivity for a more direct evaluation of the material ultra-broadband optical behavior. The reported results challenge the conventional modeling of this kind of problem, which has so far overlooked pump dynamics, simplistically assigning a local time-dependent refractive index to the probe that may be designed to fit the experimental data, but has no physical connection to the complex pump-probe interaction. Our approach unveils new dynamics, pointing towards the possibility to achieve extreme pulse compression into the attosecond range and nonlinear diffraction over deeply subwavelength propagation distances, thus opening a possible new path towards novel and cost-effective tools for integrated photonics and attosecond science. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

Hybrid light-matter coupled states, or polaritons, in magnetic materials have attracted significant attention due to their potential for enabling novel applications in spintronics and quantum information processing. However, most studies to date have been carried out for ferromagnetic materials with magnon excitations at gigahertz frequencies. Here, we have investigated strong resonant photon-magnon coupling at frequencies above 1 terahertz for the first time in a prototypical room-temperature antiferromagnetic insulator, NiO, inside a Fabry-Pérot cavity. The cavity was formed by the crystal itself when it was thinned down to an optimized thickness. By using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy in high magnetic fields up to 25 T, we swept the magnon frequency through Fabry-Pérot cavity modes and observed photon-magnon anticrossing behavior, demonstrating clear vacuum Rabi splittings exceeding the polariton linewidths. These results show that NiO is a promising platform for exploring antiferromagnetic spintronics and cavity magnonics in the terahertz frequency range. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. This work discusses the implementation and experimentation of a control system designed to guide a multi-robot formation of one aerial and three ground robots, in a trajectory tracking task. The implementation considers three partial formations of two robots, each one associated to a virtual structure, a straight line in the 3D space with its own formation controller. Two of the partial line formations are homogeneous formations of two ground vehicles, and the third one is a heterogeneous formation, involving a ground and an aerial vehicles. All the partial formations have the same reference for position, which is one of the ground vehicles. This also allows to discuss what would happen if this ground vehicle, the reference for all the line formations, and thus for the whole formation, presents a failure, what is considered here, in connection to an escorting mission. The result is that the designed control system is effectively able to accomplish the mission, even upon a failure of the reference robot, what is validated by experimental results also discussed here. © 2019 IEEE.

This work discusses a trajectory tracking task accomplished by a group of three Bebop 2 quadrotors working cooperatively to transport a load. Such unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are considered as a triangular formation, and the load, a triangle-shaped structure, is attached to them through massless flexible cables. The reason to use three quadrotors is the gain in terms of the payload capability and the stability of the load, since it is attached to three vehicles, staying vertically aligned with the center of mass of the triangle correspondent to the formation. A formation controller, actually a kinematic controller applied to a virtual massless robot correspondent to the center of mass of the triangle, is adopted, which generates reference velocities for the three UAVs, whose movement generates the movement and reshaping of the triangular formation. Then, individual dynamic compensators are adopted for each UAV, whose input is the reference velocity delivered by the formation controller. Finally, experimental results are discussed, which validate the proposal.

Leveraging topological properties in the response of electromagnetic systems can greatly enhance their potential. Although the investigation of singularity-based electromagnetics and non-Hermitian electronics has considerably increased in recent years in the context of various scattering anomalies, their topological properties have not been fully assessed. In this work, we theoretically and experimentally demonstrate that non-Hermitian perturbations around bound states in the continuum can lead to singularities of the scattering matrix, which are topologically nontrivial and comply with charge conservation. The associated scattering matrix poles, zeros and pole-zero pairs delineate extreme scattering events, including lasing, coherent perfect absorption, and absorber-lasers. The presented framework enables a recipe for generation, annihilation and addition of these singularities in electric circuits, with potential for extreme scattering engineering across a broad range of the electromagnetic spectrum for sensing, wireless power transfer, lasing and thermal emission devices. Significance: The thermal analysis of nanofluid in a vertical cylinder (artery) in a magnetized environment holds significant implications in physiological and thermal regulation networks. This research is significant in biomedical engineering with applications like medical diagnostics and treatment strategies. Motive: This study investigates the thermal behavior of a magnetized blood-based ternary Carreau nanofluid flowing through a vertically bounded artery with quadratic convection. Velocity and heat transfer analysis is conducted within the artery, utilizing thermal radiation and quadratic convection in a magnetized setting. The base fluid consists of blood, augmented with three nanoparticles: CuO, Al₂O₃, and TiO₂. The investigation centers on examining the properties of blood nanofluid, arterial geometry, and thermal dynamics. Methodology: The physical model generates a set of partial differential equations (PDEs) and similarities mechanism is utilized to fetch its non dimensional form in terms of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Furthermore, numerical outcomes are obtained with Matlab function bvp4c and obtained data set is trained through robust scheme Levenberg-Marquardt neural network (LMNN) procedure to predict the solution. Findings: Velocity of blood is reduced with increased values of wiessenberg number, magnetic parameter and mixed convection parameter and velocity increases for Second-order convection parameter. Temperature profile decreases with curvature parameter, mixed convection parameter and permeability parameter. © 2024

The purpose of this article is to give a characterization of families of expander graphs via right-angled Artin groups. We prove that a sequence of simplicial graphs {Γi}i∈ forms a family of expander graphs if and only if a certain natural mini-max invariant arising from the cup product in the cohomology rings of the groups {A(Γi)}i∈ agrees with the Cheeger constant of the sequence of graphs, thus allowing us to characterize expander graphs via cohomology. This result is proved in the more general framework of vector space expanders, a novel structure consisting of sequences of vector spaces equipped with vector-space-valued bilinear pairings which satisfy a certain mini-max condition. These objects can be considered to be analogues of expander graphs in the realm of linear algebra, with a dictionary being given by the cup product in cohomology, and in this context represent a different approach to expanders that those developed by Lubotzky-Zelmanov and Bourgain-Yehudayoff. Automated extraction of sentencing decisions from court cases in the Hebrew language

We present the task of Automated Punishment Extraction (APE) in sentencing decisions from criminal court cases in Hebrew. Addressing APE will enable the identification of sentencing patterns and constitute an important stepping stone for many follow up legal NLP applications in Hebrew, including the prediction of sentencing decisions. We curate a dataset of sexual assault sentencing decisions and a manually-annotated evaluation dataset, and implement rule-based and supervised models. We find that while supervised models can identify the sentence containing the punishment with good accuracy, rule-based approaches outperform them on the full APE task. We conclude by presenting a first analysis of sentencing patterns in our dataset and analyze common models’ errors, indicating avenues for future work, such as distinguishing between probation and actual imprisonment punishment.
