A system for automatic detection of road damages is essential for logistics management. At the core of the system lies an algorithm for classification of damages. This work intends to establish such an algorithm. In the current proposal, the algorithm receives data of the probe vehicle rate of rotations, extracts statistics descriptive from the data to produce a feature vector, and finally, feeds the vector to a simple-three-layer neural network to classify the damages. The types of damages are limited to four cases: normal, pothole, speed bump, and expansion joint. For the development, a probe vehicle is used to produce 400 empirical data involving those four damage cases. By using Monte Carlo approach, the established neural network model is evaluated. The results show that the approach is able to classify the cases with 85% accuracy. The study also finds that the rates of pitch and roll to be the determining factors. © 2018 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Isolated linear carbon chains (LCCs) encapsulated by multiwalled carbon nanotubes are studied under hydrostatic pressure (P) via resonance Raman scattering. The LCCs’ spectroscopic signature C band around 1850 cm−1 softens linearly with increasing P. A simple anharmonic force-constant model not only describes such softening but also shows that the LCCs’ Young’s modulus (E), Grüneisen parameter (γ), and strain (ϵ) follow universal P−1 and P2 laws, respectively. In particular, γ also presents a unified behavior for all LCCs. To the best of our knowledge, these are the first results reported on such isolated systems and the first work to explore universal P-dependent responses for LCCs’ E, ϵ, and γ.

Information technology enables for new way of commerce, which is a commerce activities through online media (e-commerce). Security becomes an important issue in online-system, because such system is accessible by anyone through the global network -internet. Security in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability becomes goals that must be achieved by any system generally, and commerce system especially, because this kind of system contains many sensitive data like customer data and transaction data. SQL Injection is a vulnerability and threat, with the most occurrence in a web based system. In this research we evaluate and analyze source code against SQL injection, and we use regular expression and escape string to prevent the SQL injection. The results of this study are findings of system vulnerability against SQL injection, which are proven by the ability to get data from database, with SQL injection techniques. System vulnerabilities were analyzed, in order to design and implement the solution for it. The solutions then tested, to validate that it has proven effectively fix the vulnerabilities, and can prevent the exploitation by SQL injection. In the end, the conclusion is that initially the system is vulnerable against SQL injection, but then the solution that being implemented has proven effectively fix the issue. © 2018 The Authors. Funneling acoustic waves through largely mismatched channels is of fundamental importance to tailor and transmit sound for a variety of *** electromagnetics,zero-permittivity metamaterials have been used to enhance the coupling of energy in and out of ultranarrow channels,based on a phenomenon known as *** metamaterial channels can support total transmission and complete phase uniformity,independent of the channel length,despite being geometrically mismatched with their input and output *** the feld of acoustics,this phenomenon is challenging to achieve,since it requires zero-density metamaterials,typically realized with waveguides periodically loaded with membranes or *** to electromagnetics,the additional challenge is due to the fact that conventional acoustic waveguides do not support a cut-of for the dominant mode of propagation,and therefore zero-index can be achieved only based on a collective resonance of the loading *** we propose and experimentally realize acoustic supercoupling in a dual regime,using a compressibility-nearzero acoustic *** than engineering the channel with subwavelength inclusions,we operate at the cut-of of a higherorder acoustic mode,demonstrating the realization and efcient excitation of a zero-compressibility waveguide with efective sof *** experimentally verify strong transmission through a largely mismatched channel and uniform phase distribution,independent of the channel *** results open interesting pathways towards the realization of extreme acoustic parameters and their implementation in relevant applications,such as ultrasound imaging,acoustic transduction and sensing,nondestructive evaluation,and sound communications.

Introduction The absence of an upper limb, either due to amputation or to congenital malformation, can impair the quality of life, interfering with their ability to perform daily activities and working routine, generating physical and psychological impacts. Thus, the rehabilitation process improves the person's functionality, developing skills, and promoting independence and social participation which are the priority issue. In this sense, the prosthesis plays an important role, as it is a therapeutic technological resource capable of expanding the functional capabilities of the person amputated. Objectives Currently, the orthopedic workshops certificated by the Brazilian Unified Health System (BUHS) are responsible for providing the demands of orthoses and prostheses to insured patients. Normally, these equipment are manufactured by a handmade process, which can initially cause discomfort to the patient that induces adjustment and consequently to substantial increases in the production time. In addition, BUHS provides to the insured patients only standard basic models type prostheses, therefore, it is not offered the chance to make use of the benefits of a robotic prosthesis. Thus, implementing other manufacturing methodologies capable of providing a faster and better adaptable prosthesis to the patient is necessary because this behavior can decrease the discomfort and enable other prosthetic options. In this sense, the development of personalized products using 3D scanning and rapid prototyping techniques appears as essential alternatives. In this manner, a novel model of the prosthesis with automatic movement which has the potential to be included as a viable alternative to be provided by the BUHS is socially important. Metal oxide/water interfaces play a crucial role in many electrochemical and photocatalytic processes, such as photoelectrochemical water splitting, the creation of fuel from sunlight, and electrochemical CO2 reduction. First-principles electronic structure calculations can reveal unique insights into these processes, such as the role of the alignment of the oxide electronic energy levels with those of liquid water. An essential prerequisite for the success of such calculations is the ability to predict accurate structural models of these interfaces, which in turn requires careful experimental validation. Here we report a general, quantitative validation protocol for first-principles molecular dynamics simulations of oxide/aqueous interfaces. The approach makes direct comparisons of interfacial x-ray reflectivity (XR) signals from experimental measurements and those obtained from ab initio simulations with semilocal and van der Waals functionals. The protocol is demonstrated here for the case of the Al2O3(001)/water interface, one of the simplest oxide/water interfaces. We discuss the technical requirements needed for validation, including the choice of the density functional, the simulation cell size, and the optimal choice of the thermodynamic ensemble. Our results establish a general paradigm for the validation of structural models and interactions at solid/water interfaces derived from first-principles simulations. While there is qualitative agreement between the simulated structures and the experimental best-fit structure, direct comparisons of simulated and measured XR intensities show quantitative discrepancies that derive from both bulk regions (i.e., alumina and water) as well as the interfacial region, highlighting the need for accurate density functionals to properly describe interfacial interactions. Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Backpropagation is one of the famous method for learning, Implementing Backpropagation techniques in games is part of AI in game. This paper aim to analyzed the best team composition in a Moba Game type in learning using neural network. Mobile Legend: Bang Bang is one of MOBA game for mobile phone. In this experiment, the 2 hidden layers back-propagation neural network algorithm is used to analyze the Mobile Legend game. 5000 training steps was done to reach the stability. This also a way of learning to find the best composition in a team played. Research in area AI and game is very wide and open, a huge opportunity to be explore in future. The objective of this research is to produce the good combination of team which can be resulted in a greater winning chance. © 2018 IEEE.

Atomically precise epitaxial structures are unique systems for tunneling spectroscopy that minimize extrinsic effects of disorder. We present a systematic tunneling spectroscopy study, over a broad doping, temperature, and bias range, in epitaxial c-axis La2−xSrxCuO4/La2CuO4/La2−xSrxCuO4 heterostructures. The behavior of these superconductor/insulator/superconductor (SIS) devices is unusual. Down to 20 mK there is complete suppression of c-axis Josephson critical current with a barrier of only 2 nm of La2CuO4, and the zero-bias conductance remains at 20–30% of the normal-state conductance, implying a substantial population of in-gap states. Tunneling spectra show greatly suppressed coherence peaks. As the temperature is raised, the superconducting gap fills in rather than closing at Tc. For all doping levels, the spectra show an inelastic tunneling feature at ∼80 meV, suppressed as T exceeds Tc. These nominally simple epitaxial cuprate junctions deviate markedly from expectations based on the standard Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer theory.

There are many object-oriented software quality measurement techniques. One of them is CK metric. This paper utilizes CK metrics to measure qualities per version of an open source software namely Statcato. Measurements are done in each class, each version of the software. The measurement is used to analyze the quality of the software. This paper concludes that the quality of software has improved during its lifecycle, although its features increase. © 2018 IEEE.
