The paper focuses on the problem of technical social engineering attacks that encompass the manipulation of individuals to reveal sensitive information, execute actions, or breach security systems. These exploits frequently capitalize on human psychology, trust, and a lack of vigilance to attain unauthorized entry to networks, systems, or data. In contrast to traditional social engineering tactics that center on psychological manipulation, technical social engineering attacks employ technological means and strategies to manipulate and beguile individuals. The paper presents an attempt to detect social engineering attacks. The approach utilized four machine learning algorithms (decision tree, random forest, K-nearest neighbor, and extreme gradient boosting). The analysis is centered on data collected from network hosts, which may serve as indicators of a potential social engineering attack. The empirical results demonstrated high detection accuracy.

The Modified Picture Fuzzy Weighted Geometric Operator for Decisionmaking Processes and its Applications to Ambient Air Pollution

The aggregation operator is a popular tool for dealing with multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. An MCDM technique based on the modified picture fuzzy weighted geometric operator (MPFWGO) is proposed in this article. First, the drawbacks of various existing picture fuzzyweighted geometric aggregation operators (PFWGOs) that lead to imprecise outcomes in some exceptional instances are investigated. Second, an MPFWGO is proposed to address the shortcomings of existing PFWGOs. Furthermore, the suggested MPFWGO's properties such as idempotency, boundedness, monotonicity, and commutativity are explored. Numerical examples demonstrate that our proposed operator and corresponding MCDM approach are efficient and reasonable enough to prevent ambiguous results in exceptional instances. Finally, we applied the proposed method to rank the World Health Organization (WHO) regions for air pollution control. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this study, a new generalized model of thermo-viscoelasticity with three phase-lag (TPL) theory concerning memory-dependent derivative (MDD) theory is emphasized. The governing combined equations of the novel model associated with kernel function and time delay are considered in a two-dimensional semi-infinite space. The bounding surface of the medium is assumed to be free of traction and subjected to time-dependent thermal loading. Using Laplace and Fourier Transform techniques, the problem is transformed from the space–time domain and then solved numerically. Suitable numerical technique is used to find the inversion of Fourier and Laplace transforms. In the simulation, the effects of the time-delay parameter and kernel function on the distributions of the displacement components, stresses and temperature field are studied and represented graphically. The results shows that the presence of TPL, the time-delay and kernel function extensively affect all the distributions. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature India Private Limited.

In this study, we present a straightforward teaching strategy for teaching the Python programming language. Our method emphasizes a clear progression from fundamental to sophisticated concepts. Beginning with a thorough explanation of core Python ideas, we show a beginner-level script that dissects each line of code and displays the results. One distinguishing feature of our system is that students use ChatGPT to optimize code, which encourages them to improve the core program with fewer lines. After getting the updated solutions, students carefully compare the original and optimized programs to discover improvements and potential flaws. This study underlines the effectiveness of the Straight-Through Approach, which focuses on improving Python understanding while also developing critical thinking and code optimization skills. Our findings show that this strategy is a simple and effective way for teachers to assist students in growing from basic to advanced Python abilities, resulting in a dynamic and successful learning environment. The proposed technique will teach students how to use AI-driven modules correctly, such as ChatGPT. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

The development of domestically generated food additives based on eco-technologies with specified functional-technological and bioactive qualities is now a significant focus of contemporary study. Pickering emulsions are more stable both physically and chemically, making them a highly promising method of introducing biologically active chemicals into the body. The purpose of this research was to determine if ultrasound could be used to create a bioactive colloidal Pickering emulsion system using flax cellulose or brown algal polysaccharides as a stabilizer. Pickering emulsions stabilized with fucoidan, sodium alginate, or flax cellulose, based on a lipid fraction of sunflower oil and cinnamon oil blend, or a lipid fraction of linseed oil, were applied to the subjects, who were then subjected to ultrasound treatment at 630W/l for 16 min (4 min on, 3 min off) at a controlled temperature of 50 °C. The results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of using ultrasonic exposure to create bioactive Pickering emulsion colloidal systems. Fucoidan stabilizes pickering emulsion, with the highest AOA values (5.120±0.005 DPPH, %) and a rise in AOA values in linseed oil-based emulsion samples from 30% to 100% in comparison to emulsion samples based on a blend of lipid phases. The viscoelastic characteristics of Pickering emulsions with various oil fractions vary dramatically for the integrated structure-forming components. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. Lip reading is a technique that aims to understand spoken words by analyzing people's lip movements. Deep learning algorithms are used as a powerful tool for detecting and recognizing lip movements more accurately. In this study, we present a lip-reading architecture for the Turkish language. The architecture is trained to recognize Turkish words using 3DCNN (3D Convolutional Neural Network) architecture and two-stream deep learning methods. The model was trained on video data representing lip movements and learned to classify words accurately. The Turkish lip reading system has been trained and tested on a large Turkish lip reading dataset. In the experiments, an accuracy of 87.12% was achieved with the proposed model, indicating successful results in the Turkish language. The proposed model demonstrates high accuracy rates in recognizing Turkish words, showcasing its effectiveness. This paper introduces a novel architecture, a lip-reading system that employs deep learning techniques, providing a robust tool for successful Turkish lipreading applications. © 2023, The Authors. Educational, online learning has become a common practice due to rapid digitalization and recent global events. The platform supports user registration and authentication, course and lesson management, and offers interactive features like AI-driven chat support. In this study, we show the importance of creating user-friendly online learning platforms with the implementation of modern AI trends. The development and testing of this platform is ongoing to determine the adaptation of the system to different learning styles.

The article considers in the intellectual processing of information, moving from a large unit of measurement to a smaller, more important unit of measurement, selecting sets of informative symbols and classifying symbols, developing modern recognition systems that help specialists in the field, as well as evaluating the states of objects to be classified, developing a classification algorithm for multi-class cases of educational samples. The development of a multi-class algorithm for symbol classification serves to develop the theory of symbol recognition. It deals with the construction of a decision rule construction algorithm. Its main purpose is to determine which of the given classes the recognized object belongs to. The complexity or simplicity of the proposed algorithm depends on the number of classes participating in the study sample. If the number of classes is two, then the formulation of decision rules is simple. That is why the classification algorithms proposed by most authors are solved for cases where the number of classes is three or more, the decisive rule in the matter of classification of objects is solved by making two classes. The construction of a multi-class decision rule for classification, which takes into account all classes at the same time, is a complex and urgent issue. In the article, in the classification of objects, a multi-level complex structured decision rule was developed based on special inequalities, and two-, three- and multi-class classification algorithms were developed.

In this paper, we developed and investigated some four-dimensional profit maximization transportation problems considering damageablity and substitutability, where the parameters are of a type-2 normal uncertain variable in nature. Here, unit transportation cost, distances of the paths, fixed charges, rate of breakability, availability, demands, capacities of conveyances, the unit selling price, unit purchasing cost, unit procurement cost are regarded as type-2 normal uncertain variables. Two models are formulated based on two separate criteria of the substitution items. We use a critical value-based reduction method to reduce type-2 normal uncertain variables into type-1 normal uncertain variables and then apply some properties of uncertainty theory to convert the profit transportation parameters into deterministic form. The two deterministic models are solved using the optimization software named LINGO -18.0. A real-life numerical example and optimal results are presented here to show the application of the proposed model and the proposed reduction method. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature India Private Limited.

Remote monitoring of objects or technological processes is used in many industries and service-oriented companies to obtain up-to-date information about the state of things or technical processes. The article is devoted to developing, analyzing, and implementing information technology (IT) for remote monitoring. The high-level design of IT and system for its implementation is based on the IDEF0 Functional Modeling methodology that describes the system hierarchy and establishes horizontal links between various activities. The achieved results confirm the possibility of implementing the proposed technology. The results will be of interest to technical specialists involved in the development of relevant applications but also to business analysts and managers for a better understanding of modern applied information technologies. © 2021 IEEE.
