Human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(hiv/aids)is still a threat to global public health,with around 38 million people living with hiv by the end of 2019(http://***).Until now,there is not a routine cure therapy available for hiv/aids.[1]Anti-hiv inhibitors,such as reverse transcriptase inhibitors,protease inhibitors,integrase inhibitors,and entry inhibitors,were all applied in hiv/aids patients.[1]Combined antiretroviral therapy(cART)can effectively control hiv replication,but cannot eradicate the hiv reservoir.[1]hiv reservoir is the major barrier for hiv cure and is the major cause for hiv rebound after anti-hiv treatment interruption.

The emergence of adapted variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has led to a surge in breakthrough infections worldwide.A recent analysis of immune responses in people who received inactivated vaccines has revealed that individuals with no prior infection have limited resistance to Omicron and its sub-lineages,while those with previous infections exhibit a significant amount of neutralizing antibodies and memory B ***,specific T-cell responses remain largely unaffected by the mutations,indicating that T-cell-mediated cellular immunity can still provide ***,the administration of a third dose of vaccine has resulted in a marked increase in the spectrum and duration of neutralizing antibodies and memory B cells in vivo,which has enhanced resistance to emerging variants such as BA.2.75 and *** results highlight the need to consider booster immunization for previously infected individuals and the development of novel vaccination *** rapid spread of adapted variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus presents a significant challenge to global *** findings from this study underscore the importance of tailoring vaccination strategies based on individual immune backgrounds and the potential need for booster shots to combat emerging *** research and development are crucial to discovering new immunization strategies that will effectively protect public health against the evolving virus.

The Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2,primarily authenticated in November 2021 in South Africa,has initiated the 5th wave of global ***,we systemically examined immunological and metabolic characteristics of Omicron variants *** found Omicron resisted to neutralizing antibody targeting receptor binding domain(RBD)of wildtype *** could hardly be neutralized by sera of Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)convalescents infected with the Delta *** mass spectrometry on MHC-bound peptidomes,we found that the spike protein of the Omicron variants could generate additional CD8+T cell epitopes,compared with *** epitopes could induce robust CD8+T cell ***,we found booster vaccination increased the cross-memory CD8+T cell responses against *** regulome analysis of Omicron-specific T cell showed a metabolic profile that promoted the response of memory T ***,a greater fraction of memory CD8+T cells existed in Omicron stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).In addition,CD147 was also a receptor for the Omicron variants,and CD147 antibody inhibited infection of ***147-mediated Omicron infection in a human CD147 transgenic mouse model induced exudative alveolar *** together,our data suggested that vaccination booster and receptor blocking antibody are two effective strategies against Omicron.

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the US President's Emergency Plan for aids Relief supported oral caregiver-assisted hiv self-testing (CG-hivST) to address the gap in hiv diagnosis of children. We aimed to investigate caregiver uptake, results return, acceptability, and potential social harms of CG-hivST. Methods: This prospective, interventional, study was done at 32 health facilities in Uganda and 15 health facilities in Zambia. Caregivers aged 18 years and older (plus emancipated minors aged 15–17 years in Uganda) living with hiv who were currently accessing hiv care and considered index cases, with no positive responses to an intimate partner violence screen, and with one or more children aged 18 months to 14 years with unknown hiv status were eligible to participate. Eligible caregivers were offered oral hivST kits to screen their children and primary outcomes were described by caregiver and child characteristics. Following hivST kit administration, caregivers were surveyed using a standardised questionnaire to document their perceptions, adverse events, and social harm. Primary outcomes were the uptake of hivST and the number and proportion of returned screening test results, reactive results, reactive screens with confirmatory hiv testing, confirmatory testing with a positive result, and children who were confirmed hiv-positive who were linked to treatment. This study was registered with ***, NCT04774666 and NCT04754386, and is completed. Findings: From Feb 1 to Oct 31, 2021, 12 998 interested caregivers were screened for eligibility, 4023 of whom were eligible. 3903 (97·0%) accepted hivST kits to screen their child for hiv (1609 [41·2%] in Zambia and 2294 [58·8%] in Uganda). Background In 2003,China implemented free antiretroviral therapy(ART)for people living with hiv(PLhiv),establishing an eligibility threshold of CD4<200 cells/μ***,the entry criteria were revised in 2012(eligibility threshold:CD4≤350 cells/μl),2014(CD4≤500 cells/μl),and 2016(treat-all).However,the impact of treat-all policy on hiv care and treatment indicators in China is *** aimed to elucidate the immediate and long-term impact of the implementation of treat-all policy in *** Anonymized programmatic data on ART initiation and collection in PLhiv who newly started ART were retrieved between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2019,from two provincial and municipal Centers for Disease control and prevention and ten major infectious disease hospitals specialized in hiv care in *** used Poisson and quasi-Poisson segmented regression models to estimate the immediate and long-term impact of treat-all on three key indicators:monthly proportion of 30-day ART initiation,mean CD4 counts(cells/μl)at ART initiation,and mean estimated time from infection to diagnosis(year).We built separate models according to gender,age,route of transmission and *** Monthly data on ART initiation and collection were available for 75,516 individuals[gender:83.8%males;age:median 39 years,interquartile range(IQR):28-53;region:18.5%Northern China,10.9%Northeastern China,17.5%Southern China,49.2%Southwestern China].In the first month of treat-all,compared with the contemporaneous counterfactual,there was a significant increase in proportion of 30-day ART initiation[+12.6%,incidence rate ratio(IRR)=1.126,95%CI:1.033-1.229;P=0.007]and mean estimated time from infection to diagnosis(+7.0%,IRR=1.070,95%CI:1.021-1.120;P=0.004),while there was no significant change in mean CD4 at ART initiation(IRR=0.990,95%CI:0.956-1.026;P=0.585).By December 2019,the three outcomes were not significantly different from expected *** the stratified analysis,compared with the con
