software effort estimation (SEE) is an important process for predicting the effort required to develop or maintain software projects. It is considered one of the difficult challenges for software engineering because the more accurate the estimation, the greater the chances of success in developing software projects to complete and deliver them within the specified scheduling and budget. The diversity in software projects led to the use of many techniques to estimate the effort. The main objective of the research is to find the best technique to get the estimated effort as close to the real effort, using Machine learning algorithms, artificial neural network Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) and the artificial neural network Stacked Long Short-Term Memory (Stacked_LSTM), with six data sets are China, Kitchenham, Kemerer, Cocomo 81, albrecht, Decharnais, and comparing the performance of the two machine learning algorithms performance, Neuralnet and Lasso from previous research, used the same data sets and using the same evaluation metrics, which are: the root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and R_Squared. The results demonstrated the superiority of the Stacked _LSTM algorithm by all metrics with the dataset of China, Kemerer and albrecht, while in the data sets, Descharnais and Kitchenham, the LSTM algorithm outperformed the rest of the methods. While in the Cocomo 81 dataset, Neuralnet algorithm outperformed the rest of the techniques used, but the best rating was obtained. It is for Stacked _LSTM algorithm with China data. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of wireless communication technologies and the increasing demand for multi-functional systems have led to the emergence of integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) as a key enabler for future 6G networks. Simultaneously transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (STAR-RISs) have recently garnered significant attention for their ability to enhance signal coverage and improve system efficiency. This paper investigates a STAR-RIS-assisted ISAC system designed to secure communication for multiple legitimate users (LUs) while safeguarding against multiple eavesdroppers (Eves). By jointly optimizing the base station (BS) transmit beamforming, STAR-RIS transmission and reflection coefficients, and receive filters, the proposed framework aims to maximize the long-term average secrecy rate for all LUs. Constraints are imposed to ensure minimum echo signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) for sensing and meet the achievable rate requirements of LUs. To address the inherent complexity of this non-convex problem, two deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithms are proposed. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves significant improvements in secrecy rate compared to conventional RIS setups. This work provides a scalable and efficient approach for secure multi-user ISAC systems, making it highly relevant for future 6G networks, smart cities, and IoT applications. © 2025 The Authors.

Traditional methods for video recognition require hand-crafted features, which often involves offline pre-processing for real-world videos. In this study, we propose a conceptually simple framework that directly takes raw videos as an input source for activity recognition. Our framework consists of two streams, namely a spatial stream and a temporal stream. The spatial stream is trained on RepVGG-B0 ConvNet using cropped RGB features, while the temporal stream uses an attention-based Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) network to learn posture vectors from human pose data obtained through Faster R-CNN pre-Trained model. Our proposed method is evaluated on a standard video action recognition benchmark, MSR Daily Activity3D, and proves to be competitive with state-of-The-Art action recognition methods. We achieve state-of-The-Art performance on MSR Daily Activity3D with a precision and recall rate of 99.01% and 98.91%, respectively. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in recognizing video actions. © 2023 IEEE.

The neurological condition epilepsy is demanding and even fatal. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based epilepsy detection still faces various difficulties. EEG readings fluctuate, and different patients have various seizure activity patterns. EEG signal detection is time-consuming and labour-intensive, which puts a strain on medical staff and raises the possibility of erroneous detections. Usually, electrodes are inserted into the scalp or inside the brain for a brief period of time in order to obtain EEG data. It is essential to research efficient cross-patient automatic epilepsy detection techniques. The multi-head self-attention mechanism recognises long-distance dependencies with the same proficiency as it does temporal dynamic correlations between short-term temporal pattern characteristics and sequential relationships. The contextual representations are inputted into a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) so that information can be extracted in both directions. Classification and training are carried out utilising the log SoftMax algorithm. The experiments utilised scalp EEG data from the CHB-MIT database. Sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and accuracy were computed to be 96.5 percent, 97.04 percent, 96.6 percent, and 96.2 percent, respectively. The results of the experiment show how well the technique works for detecting seizures in several patients utilising multi-channel EEG recordings. The results also demonstrate the method's improved generalisation capabilities and resilience and consistency in collecting seizure patterns. This is particularly critical for the tertiary diagnosis of epilepsy, and the findings indicate that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
