Fuzzy clustering for electric field characterization and its application to thunderstorm interpretability

Changes in the Atmospheric Electric Field Signal(AEFS)are highly correlated with weather changes,especially with thunderstorm ***,little attention has been paid to the ambiguous weather information implicit in AEFS *** this paper,a Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)clustering method is used for the first time to develop an innovative approach to characterize the weather attributes carried by ***,a time series dataset is created in the time domain using AEFS *** AEFS-based weather is evaluated according to the time-series Membership Degree(MD)changes obtained by inputting this dataset into the ***,thunderstorm intensities are reflected by the change in distance from a thunderstorm cloud point charge to an AEF ***,a matching relationship is established between the normalized distance and the thunderstorm dominant MD in the space ***,the rationality and reliability of the proposed method are verified by combining radar charts and expert *** results confirm that this method accurately characterizes the weather attributes and changes in the AEFS,and a negative distance-MD correlation is obtained for the first *** detection of thunderstorm activity by AEF from the perspective of fuzzy set technology provides a meaningful guidance for interpretable thunderstorms.

Brain tumors pose a significant threat to human lives and have gained increasing attention as the tenth leading cause of global *** study addresses the pressing issue of brain tumor classification using Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).It focuses on distinguishing between Low-Grade Gliomas(LGG)and High-Grade Gliomas(HGG).LGGs are benign and typically manageable with surgical resection,while HGGs are malignant and more *** research introduces an innovative custom convolutional neural network(CNN)model,*** stands out as a lightweight CNN model compared to its *** research utilized the BraTS 2020 dataset for its *** with the gradient-boosting algorithm,GliomaCNN has achieved an impressive accuracy of 99.1569%.The model’s interpretability is ensured through SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)and Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping(Grad-CAM++).They provide insights into critical decision-making regions for classification *** challenges in identifying tumors in images without visible signs,the model demonstrates remarkable performance in this critical medical application,offering a promising tool for accurate brain tumor diagnosis which paves the way for enhanced early detection and treatment of brain tumors.

American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Network updates have become increasingly prevalent since the broad adoption of software-defined networks(SDNs)in data *** TCP designs,including cutting-edge TCP variants DCTCP,CUBIC,and BBR,however,are not resilient to network updates that provoke flow *** this paper,we first demonstrate that popular TCP implementations perform inadequately in the presence of frequent and inconsistent network updates,because inconsistent and frequent network updates result in out-of-order packets and packet drops induced via transitory congestion and lead to serious performance *** look into the causes and propose a network update-friendly TCP(NUFTCP),which is an extension of the DCTCP variant,as a *** are used to assess the proposed *** findings reveal that NUFTCP can more effectively manage the problems of out-of-order packets and packet drops triggered in network updates,and it outperforms DCTCP considerably.

A Smart CIoT with Secure Healthcare Framework Using Optimized Deep Recuperator Neural Network Long Short-Term Memory

The healthcare system currently relies on the facility to store and process large amounts of health data, supported by efficient management. The Internet of Things (IoT) has driven the growth of Adroit Healthcare, which has vast data processing capabilities and extensive data collection. The consumer IoT (CIoT), also known as the IoT in the context of individual use cases, is dominated by personal healthcare applications. The remarkable expansion of the CIoT can be attributed to the extensive embrace of wearable technology, facilitating everyday monitoring of vital health indicators like blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration rate. However, the CIoT raises concerns about data security, confidentiality, and customer trust. This study proposes an integrating blockchain and deep learning (DL) approach to promote responsible use of CIoT. The study develops an Intelligent IoT (IIoT) and healthcare diagnostic model, named BT-PWO-DRNN-LSTM, using blockchain technology and Prairie Wolf optimization-based deep recuperator neural network (DRNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM). The BT-PWO-DRNN-LSTM approach includes three key processes: 1) encrypted transactions;2) cryptographic hash feature;and 3) medical diagnosis. The PWO technique is used for secure communication of medical images, the neighborhood catalogue disposition (NCD) technique is used in the cryptographic hash feature operation (CHFO), and the DL approach is employed as a classification algorithm for diagnosing disorders. The use of PWO methodology for secure healthcare communication and optimal parameter fine-tuning highlights the originality of the study. The BT-PWO-DRNN-LSTM prototype showed positive results with high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy during the diagnostic process. © 2014 IEEE.

Online reviews play an integral part in making mobile applications stand out from the large number of applications available on the Google Play store. Predominantly, users consider posted reviews for appropriate app selection. Manual categorization of such reviews is both inefficient and time-consuming. Therefore, automatic analysis of the sentiments of such reviews provides fast suggestions for new users and facilitates their selection of the appropriate app. However, data imbalance is a major challenge for performing class prediction of such reviews as their distribution is sparse and often leads to low accuracy. This work proposes a framework to overcome this limitation. Extensive experiments are performed using the original and balanced data with the synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) and adaptive synthetic sampling (ADASYN). Additionally, deep learning and machine learning models are evaluated using FastText, FastText Subword, global vector (GloVe), and their combinations for word representation. Baseline machine learning models, including random forest, extra tree classifier, gradient boosting, Naive Bayes, logistic regression (LR), stochastic gradient descent (SGD), and voting classifier (VC) that combines LR and SGD, are used for comparison. The outcomes show that the convolutional neural network using a combination of word embedding techniques produces the most accurate results. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The emergence of the metaverse has ushered in a new era of possibilities in healthcare, offering solutions that promise to enhance patient care, improve access to medical services, and revolutionize healthcare practices. In critical systems such as healthcare systems, the non-functional requirements are more significant than the functional requirements of the healthcare services. However, the classification of non-functional requirements of healthcare services in the metaverse has not been identified yet. In the virtual landscape of the healthcare in metaverse, the need for a comprehensive and well-defined classification of non-functional requirements that specifies desired quality requirements and associated constraints becomes paramount. This paper presents non-functional requirements classification for healthcare applications in the promising metaverse. This work is anticipated to contribute to facilitating further identification and specification of non-functional requirements in the domain and acting as basis for understanding these requirements for both healthcare and metaverse domain experts. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Machine Learning(ML)has changed clinical diagnostic procedures *** in Cardiovascular Diseases(CVD),the use of ML is indispensable to reducing human *** studies focused on disease prediction but depending on multiple parameters,further investigations are required to upgrade the clinical ***-layered implementation of ML also called Deep Learning(DL)has unfolded new horizons in the field of clinical *** formulates reliable accuracy with big datasets but the reverse is the case with small *** paper proposed a novel method that deals with the issue of less data *** by the regression analysis,the proposed method classifies the data by going through three different *** the first stage,feature representation is converted into probabilities using multiple regression techniques,the second stage grasps the probability conclusions from the previous stage and the third stage fabricates the final *** experiments were carried out on the Cleveland heart disease *** results show significant improvement in classification *** is evident from the comparative results of the paper that the prevailing statistical ML methods are no more stagnant disease prediction techniques in demand in the future.
