Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS) has become an important Journal for neutrosophic theory and its applications in uncertainty modeling and decision sciences. In 2023, NSS celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of contributions to scientific literature. Motivated by this event, this paper provides a critical bibliometric analysis of NSS’s evolution as a leading academic journal in neutrosophy. This study explores the publication trends, citation impact, most productive authors, institutions, and global collaboration networks of NSS. The study maps bibliographic coupling, keyword co-occurrence and co-citation analysis using data from the Scopus database, secondary search using NSS webpage, and visualization tools like the VOSviewer. The findings identify Neutrosophic Sets, Decision-Making, and Fuzzy Sets as the most frequently studied keywords that highlight the increasing integration of neutrosophic approaches into multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) and soft computing. The results indicate the most significant areas of research that are topology, soft set theory, hypersoft sets, and uncertainty modeling. The findings highlight the NSS increasing international collaboration, with contributions from America, Middle East, and Asia. Additionally, the analysis explores NSS’s alignment with sustainable development goals (SDGs), revealing notable contributions to good health and well-being (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), and peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16). These contributions highlight how neutrosophic sets and systems is valuable across many researchers, from public health to governance to education. Overall, this paper serves as a fundamental study for researchers looking to explore emerging trends and novel applications of neutrosophic theories across diverse scientific and practical domains. © 2025, University of New Mexico. The rapid development and widespread adoption of Internet technology have significantly increased Internet traffic,highlighting the growing importance of network *** Detection Systems(IDS)are essential for safeguarding network *** address the low accuracy of existing intrusion detection models in identifying network attacks,this paper proposes an intrusion detection method based on the fusion of Spatial Attention mechanism and Residual Neural Network(SA-ResNet).Utilizing residual connections can effectively capture local features in the data;by introducing a spatial attention mechanism,the global dependency relationships of intrusion features can be extracted,enhancing the intrusion recognition model’s focus on the global features of intrusions,and effectively improving the accuracy of intrusion *** proposed model in this paper was experimentally verified on theNSL-KDD *** experimental results showthat the intrusion recognition accuracy of the intrusion detection method based on SA-ResNet has reached 99.86%,and its overall accuracy is 0.41% higher than that of traditional Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)models.

software cost estimation is a crucial aspect of software project management,significantly impacting productivity and *** research investigates the impact of various feature selection techniques on software cost estimation accuracy using the CoCoMo NASA dataset,which comprises data from 93 unique software projects with 24 *** applying multiple machine learning algorithms alongside three feature selection methods,this study aims to reduce data redundancy and enhance model *** findings reveal that the principal component analysis(PCA)-based feature selection technique achieved the highest performance,underscoring the importance of optimal feature selection in improving software cost estimation *** is demonstrated that our proposed method outperforms the existing method while achieving the highest precision,accuracy,and recall rates.

The rapid development of short video platforms poses new challenges for traditional recommendation *** systems typically depend on two types of user behavior feedback to construct user interest profiles:explicit feedback(interactive behavior),which significantly influences users’short-term interests,and implicit feedback(viewing time),which substantially affects their long-term ***,the previous model fails to distinguish between these two feedback methods,leading it to predict only the overall preferences of users based on extensive historical behavior ***,it cannot differentiate between users’long-term and shortterm interests,resulting in low accuracy in describing users’interest states and predicting the evolution of their *** paper introduces a video recommendationmodel calledCAT-MFRec(CrossAttention Transformer-Mixed Feedback Recommendation)designed to differentiate between explicit and implicit user feedback within the DIEN(Deep Interest Evolution Network)*** study emphasizes the separate learning of the two types of behavioral feedback,effectively integrating them through the cross-attention ***,it leverages the long sequence dependence capabilities of Transformer technology to accurately construct user interest profiles and predict the evolution of user *** results indicate that CAT-MF Rec significantly outperforms existing recommendation methods across various performance *** advancement offers new theoretical and practical insights for the development of video recommendations,particularly in addressing complex and dynamic user behavior patterns.

Frequently, individuals undergo specific episodes of mental health challenges throughout their lifetime. But the COVID pandemic has triggered a surge in mental health disorders arising from isolation, monotonous routines, demanding workloads, financial disparities, and disruptions to daily schedules. Furthermore, the global pandemic has induced constant anxiety and stress. Beyond the pandemic, the competition and intense pressure of the modern world impact mental health. Access to advanced mental health solutions and the necessary familiarity remain limited for most of the population. Given the integration of technology into daily life, diverse remedies, including mobile and web applications, have emerged to tackle the escalating challenge of mental health disorders. This study proposes an accessible and cost-effective approach that employs machine learning to detect stress levels and discern user emotions from journal entries and facial expressions while integrating self-journaling, video recommendations, and visual content generation to stimulate positive emotions and relieve stress. © 2023 IEEE.

Forecasting river flow is crucial for optimal planning,management,and sustainability using freshwater *** machine learning(ML)approaches have been enhanced to improve streamflow *** techniques have been viewed as a viable method for enhancing the accuracy of univariate streamflow estimation when compared to standalone *** researchers have also emphasised using hybrid models to improve forecast ***,this paper conducts an updated literature review of applications of hybrid models in estimating streamflow over the last five years,summarising data preprocessing,univariate machine learning modelling strategy,advantages and disadvantages of standalone ML techniques,hybrid models,and performance *** study focuses on two types of hybrid models:parameter optimisation-based hybrid models(OBH)and hybridisation of parameter optimisation-based and preprocessing-based hybridmodels(HOPH).Overall,this research supports the idea thatmeta-heuristic approaches precisely improveML ***’s also one of the first efforts to comprehensively examine the efficiency of various meta-heuristic approaches(classified into four primary classes)hybridised with ML *** study revealed that previous research applied swarm,evolutionary,physics,and hybrid metaheuristics with 77%,61%,12%,and 12%,***,there is still room for improving OBH and HOPH models by examining different data pre-processing techniques and metaheuristic algorithms.

A Mobile Ad hoc Network(MANET)is a group of low-power con-sumption of wireless mobile nodes that conﬁgure a wireless network without the assistance of any existing infrastructure/centralized *** primary aim of MANETs is to extendﬂexibility into the self-directed,mobile,and wireless domain,in which a cluster of autonomous nodes forms a MANET routing *** Intrusion Detection System(IDS)is a tool that examines a network for mal-icious behavior/policy violations.A network monitoring system is often used to report/gather any suspicious attacks/*** IDS is a software program or hardware system that monitors network/security trafﬁc for malicious attacks,sending out alerts whenever it detects malicious *** impact of Dynamic Source Routing(DSR)in MANETs challenging blackhole attack is investigated in this research *** Cluster Trust Adaptive Acknowledgement(CTAA)method is used to identify unauthorised and malfunctioning nodes in a MANET *** system is active and provides successful delivery of a data packet,which implements Kalman Filters(KF)to anticipate node ***,KF is used to eliminate synchronisation errors that arise during the sending and receiving *** order to provide an energy-efﬁcient solution and to minimize network trafﬁc,route optimization in MANET by using Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO)technique to determine the optimal num-ber of clustered MANET along with energy dissipation in *** to the researchﬁndings,the proposed CTAA-MPSO achieves a Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR)of 3.3%.In MANET,the PDR of CTAA-MPSO improves CTAA-PSO by 3.5%at 30%malware.

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication plays a fundamental role in autonomous IoT (Internet of Things)-based infrastructure, a vital part of the fourth industrial revolution. Machine-type communication devices(MTCDs) regularly share extensive data without human intervention while making all types of decisions. Thesedecisions may involve controlling sensitive ventilation systems maintaining uniform temperature, live heartbeatmonitoring, and several different alert systems. Many of these devices simultaneously share data to form anautomated system. The data shared between machine-type communication devices (MTCDs) is prone to risk dueto limited computational power, internal memory, and energy capacity. Therefore, securing the data and devicesbecomes challenging due to factors such as dynamic operational environments, remoteness, harsh conditions,and areas where human physical access is difficult. One of the crucial parts of securing MTCDs and data isauthentication, where each devicemust be verified before data transmission. SeveralM2Mauthentication schemeshave been proposed in the literature, however, the literature lacks a comprehensive overview of current M2Mauthentication techniques and the challenges associated with them. To utilize a suitable authentication schemefor specific scenarios, it is important to understand the challenges associated with it. Therefore, this article fillsthis gap by reviewing the state-of-the-art research on authentication schemes in MTCDs specifically concerningapplication categories, security provisions, and performance efficiency.

Internet of Things, edge computing devices, the widespread use of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, and the extensive adoption of cloud computing pose significant challenges to maintaining fault tolerance in distributed systems. As the volume and complexity of systems continue to grow, the probability of system failures also grows, leading to downtime and poor performance. Fault tolerance is pivotal in modern computing systems by preventing downtime and service disruptions, even during failures. However, adopting fault tolerance comes with additional resource consumption, such as memory, CPU, disk, and network bandwidth usage, impacting system performance. Balancing fault tolerance with system performance is crucial to optimize resource utilization while minimizing the costs associated with detecting and recovering from faults. This paper introduces a node-to-node fault tolerance coordination mechanism for distributed systems to facilitate the tradeoff between fault tolerance and the cost of performance penalties and resource consumption. The proposed mechanism is preliminarily implemented on HDFS cluster. Our proposal enables opportunities to minimize the cost of the fault tolerance impact on performance and resource usage compared to the existing fault tolerance coordination mechanism. © 2023 IEEE.
