New security concerns about the transmission of sensitive data over enormous networks of linked devices have arisen with the advent of the 6G era and the broad adoption of massive machine-type communication (MTC). The authors of this paper provide a fresh strategy for MFA and dynamic trust management in 6G networks that make use of AI to solve these issues and improve MTC security. This study presents a novel approach to behavioural profiling that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of machine-type devices. It was necessary to create simulated data to represent many situations due to the wide range of possible network circumstances, device characteristics, ambient variables, applications load of work, and security needs. The efficacy of the suggested remedy was evaluated during six simulation cycles. The findings showed that the framework can adapt to changing network circumstances and device behaviours, with stability demonstrated across many situations. The accuracy rates for implementing MFA ranged from 0.49 to 0.57. This MFA and AI-driven dynamic trust management framework has great potential to improve 6G network MTC security;its adaptability and resilience provide a solid basis for meeting the security concerns that will inevitably arise in the future of 6G networks. To maximize performance and assure successful deployment, more modifications and real-life testing are suggested. © 2025 IEEE.

Railway Track Fault Detection Using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient from Acoustic Data using Chi Square

Spatial, temporal, and weather elements like ballast, loose nuts, misalignment, and cracks due to rain, snow, and earthquakes may lead to railway accidents and cause human and financial loss. Manual inspection is erroneous, labor-intensive, and *** automatic inspection provides a fast, reliable, and unbiased solution in this regard, however, ensuring high accuracy for fault detection is challenging due to the lack of public datasets, noisy data, high computer processing requirements, and inefficient models. This study presents an approach that uses Mel frequency cepstral coefficient features from the acoustic data. The dataset gathered using a customized railway cart from our previous research is used for experiments. The focus of the study is to increase the fault detection performance using selective features from the acoustic data. This study employs Chisquare(Chi2) for the selection of important features and involves performance analysis of machine learning and deep learning models using selected features. Experimental results suggest that using 60 features, 40 original features, and 20 Chi2 features, produces optimal results both regarding accuracy and computational complexity. A 100%accuracy can be obtained using the proposed approach with machine learning models. Moreover, this performance is significantly better than existing approaches.

Ovarian cancer is a global health concern due to the unavailability of an effective screening strategy and is often diagnosed at a late stage with approximately 70% of the case which reduces the survival chances of patients. Initial diagnosis is challenging due to inconspicuous symptoms in its initial stages which complicate its timely diagnosis. Regular screenings, such as pelvic exams, ultrasounds, and blood tests targeting specific biomarkers can be helpful for early diagnosis. In addition, the use of machine learning models can help automate this process thereby assisting medical experts for accurate diagnosis. This study aims at timely and accurate detection of ovarian cancer using a transfer learning approach that uses the MobileNet model. Moreover, the Chi-square technique is used to extract the most impactful features for better accuracy. For experiments, the Soochow University ovarian cancer dataset is employed. Extensive experiments are performed using all features from the dataset, as well as, using Chi-square-based selective features. The best accuracy of 90.88% is achieved with the Xception model when all features are used. Experimental results show a substantial increase when selective features are used indicating a 98.49% accuracy using the MobileNet model with 20 most important features. In addition, precision, recall, and F1 scores of 99.13%, 99.27%, and 99.20% are obtained showing the model’s robustness and generalization. This study also employs Shapley additive explanations to explain the importance of various features toward the model’s output thereby providing transparency for the model’s decision-making process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Manual investigation of chest radiography(CXR)images by physicians is crucial for effective decision-making in COVID-19 ***,the high demand during the pandemic necessitates auxiliary help through image analysis and machine learning *** study presents a multi-threshold-based segmentation technique to probe high pixel intensity regions in CXR images of various pathologies,including normal *** information is extracted using gray co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)-based features,while vessel-like features are obtained using Frangi,Sato,and Meijering *** learning models employing Decision Tree(DT)and RandomForest(RF)approaches are designed to categorize CXR images into common lung infections,lung opacity(LO),COVID-19,and viral pneumonia(VP).The results demonstrate that the fusion of texture and vesselbased features provides an effective ML model for aiding *** ML model validation using performance measures,including an accuracy of approximately 91.8%with an RF-based classifier,supports the usefulness of the feature set and classifier model in categorizing the four different ***,the study investigates the importance of the devised features in identifying the underlying pathology and incorporates histogrambased *** analysis reveals varying natural pixel distributions in CXR images belonging to the normal,COVID-19,LO,and VP groups,motivating the incorporation of additional features such as mean,standard deviation,skewness,and percentile based on the filtered ***,the study achieves a considerable improvement in categorizing COVID-19 from LO,with a true positive rate of 97%,further substantiating the effectiveness of the methodology implemented.

Sentiment analysis, a crucial task in discerning emotional tones within the text, plays a pivotal role in understandingpublic opinion and user sentiment across diverse *** numerous scholars conduct sentiment analysisin widely spoken languages such as English, Chinese, Arabic, Roman Arabic, and more, we come to grapplingwith resource-poor languages like Urdu literature which becomes a challenge. As Urdu literature, characterized by distinct character sets and linguisticfeatures, presents an additional hurdle due to the lack of accessible datasets, rendering sentiment analysis aformidable undertaking. The limited availability of resources has fueled increased interest among researchers,prompting a deeper exploration into Urdu sentiment analysis. This research is dedicated to Urdu languagesentiment analysis, employing sophisticated deep learning models on an extensive dataset categorized into fivelabels: Positive, Negative, Neutral, Mixed, and Ambiguous. The primary objective is to discern sentiments andemotions within the Urdu language, despite the absence of well-curated datasets. To tackle this challenge, theinitial step involves the creation of a comprehensive Urdu dataset by aggregating data from various sources such asnewspapers, articles, and socialmedia comments. Subsequent to this data collection, a thorough process of cleaningand preprocessing is implemented to ensure the quality of the data. The study leverages two well-known deeplearningmodels, namely Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), for bothtraining and evaluating sentiment analysis performance. Lip Reading AI is a discipline that is rapidly changing and has numerous applications in security, accessibility and human-computer interaction. This paper proposes a model which combines Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to capture spatial capabilities, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to examine temporal dependencies, and an adaptive interest mechanism. Meticulous preprocessing of the MIRACL VC-l dataset addressing challenges including one of a kind lip moves and occlusions accompanied with the aid of transitioning this study effortlessly to LRS2 dataset to complement lexemic versatility is one of its key function. The effects verify its robustness throughout unique datasets with superior overall performance towards cutting-edge techniques. Ablation checks suggest the crucial significance of every element in phrases of improving lip analyzing accuracy. Our proposed model version additionally suggests flexibility in restricted and naturalistic language situations. © 2024 IEEE.

A Blockchain network contains a distributed ledger that is used to store a secure and permanent record of transactions among multiple parties. As the registries of land records are historically stored in the form of paper documentation where, there might arise the issue of losing, destroying, and modifying needed documents. This land registration process is complicated and time-consuming and required a lot of effort to transfer ownership of the land registry or change any information. For this purpose, various contributions have been made by different researchers to overcome the problem of the classical land registration process by using blockchain technology. In this survey, we shed light on some advantages (reduce time and effort, security, permanency, etc.) of blockchain to identify some early problems in the paper-based land registration process. © 2023 IEEE.
