The immediate international spread of severe acute respiratory syn-drome revealed the potential threat of infectious diseases in a closely integrated and interdependent *** an outbreak occurs,each country must have a well-coordinated and preventative plan to address the *** and Communication Technologies have provided innovative approaches to dealing with numerous facets of daily *** intelligent devices and applica-tions have become a vital part of our everyday lives,smart gadgets have also led to several physical and psychological health problems in modern ***,we used an artiﬁcial intelligence AI-based system for disease prediction using an Artiﬁcial Neural Network(ANN).The ANN improved the regularization of the classiﬁcation model,hence increasing its *** unconstrained opti-mization model reduced the classiﬁer’s cost function to obtain the lowest possible *** verify the performance of the intelligent system,we compared the out-comes of the suggested scheme with the results of previously proposed *** proposed intelligent system achieved an accuracy of 0.89,and the miss rate 0.11 was higher than in previously proposed models.

Food choice motives(i.e.,mood,health,natural content,convenience,sensory appeal,price,familiarities,ethical concerns,and weight control)have an important role in transforming the current food system to ensure the healthiness of people and the sustainability of the *** from several domains have presented several models addressing issues influencing food choice over the ***,a multidisciplinary approach is required to better understand how various aspects interact with one another during the decision-making *** this paper,four Deep Learning(DL)models and one Machine Learning(ML)model are utilized to predict the weight in pounds based on food *** Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)model,stacked-LSTM model,Conventional Neural Network(CNN)model,and CNN-LSTM model are the used deep learning *** the applied ML model is the K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN)*** efficiency of the proposed model was determined based on the error rate obtained from the experimental *** findings indicated that Mean Absolute Error(MAE)is 0.0087,the Mean Square Error(MSE)is 0.00011,the Median Absolute Error(MedAE)is 0.006,the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)is 0.011,and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)is ***,the results demonstrated that the stacked LSTM achieved improved results compared with the LSTM,CNN,CNN-LSTM,and KNN regressor.

Public health is seriously threatened by air pollution. Systems for early warning are crucial for preventing its negative impacts on humans. But predicting air quality is difficult because it needs precise data from time series gathered at air monitoring sites. Due to things like measurement mistakes, this data may be ambiguous. Using fuzzy symmetry triangular fuzzy numbers, we suggest a strategy in this study for preparing data that contains uncertain information. Linear programming is utilized to obtain the midpoint value for defuzzification. The fuzzy pre-processed data is then used to build a predictive model using ARIMA. Our findings imply that the linear program can greatly lower prediction errors, resulting in more precise predictions. © 2023 IEEE.

Current questions and challenges for environmental shielding are introduced by Cloud Computing. Reliability, high performance, and scalability are application states that are offered by cloud computing technologies. The Cloud Computing revolution promises environmental protection, modern networking redesign, and economic and technological advantages. Huge data centers are needed for this facility and they are coupled with a system that increases energy consumption and enormous CO2 emissions. Since the prime concern is energy, the problem generates the need for Green Cloud Computing, which can boost the efficiency of energy and to lower down tracks of carbon and electronic waste. © 2023 IEEE.

This study aims at designing Map Reduce and federated learning-based asthma prediction model for adolescent to provide answers to the problems associated with the existing asthma prediction model for adolescent. This study leveraged on two diverse datasets: the Nigerian Hospital Asthma dataset and the National Survey of Children Health dataset for benchmarking purposes. Symmetrical uncertainty and normalization interaction were employed for feature selection. The model was trained using Federated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology Enabler (FATE) and complemented with XGBoost model and one central server for federated algorithm averaging. The study was implemented with python programming language on Google Collaboratory environment. The results of the analysis showed considerable high accuracy of 0.98, precision (0.98%), recall (0.98%) and F1-socre (0.99%) for the asthmatic class and precision of 0.98%, recall of 0.98%, as well as F1-score of 0.99% for the non-asthmatic class. The implemented model was benchmark with the existing asthma prediction models in the literature. Simulated attack was also performed using implemented model with and without Map Reduce. This study concludes that the researchers' model has the potentials to outperform some of the existing machine learning models on asthma prediction in adolescent, thereby facilitating collaborative sharing of the model with other hospitals, protect the patient information from leakage, meeting the criteria of healthcare data protection regulation as well as beneficial for enhancing the security of the dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

Multimodal attention-driven visual question answering for Malayalam

Visual question answering is a challenging task that necessitates for sophisticated reasoning over the visual elements to provide an accurate answer to a question. Majority of the state-of-the-art VQA models are only applicable to English questions. However, applications such as visual assistance and tourism necessitate the incorporation of multilingual VQA systems. This paper presents an effective deep learning framework for Malayalam visual question answering (MVQA), which can answer a specific natural language question about an image in Malayalam. As there is no available dataset in English–Malayalam VQA, a MVQA dataset was created by translating English question–answer pairs from the visual genome dataset. The paper proposes an attention-driven MVQA model on the developed dataset. The proposed MVQA model uses a deep learning-based co-attention mechanism to jointly learn the attention for images and Malayalam questions. A second-order multimodal factorized high-order pooling is used for multi modal feature fusion. Different VQA models using combinations of classical CNNs and RNNs were experimented on the developed MVQA dataset, and the performance was compared against the proposed attention-driven model. Experimental results show that the proposed attention-driven MVQA model achieves state-of-the-art results as compared to other models for MVQA on the custom Malayalam VQA dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

This research paper presents a comprehensive exploration of various components to enhance the capabilities of a digital assistant tailored for visually impaired individuals. The first component explores how various image captioning architectures and Vision Encoder Decoder models can be used for better environmental interaction. The second component concerns with facial expression recognition for better social interaction and the third component is a currency note identification component that aims to aid visually impaired individuals with cash transaction whilst the final component that explores a voice bot aims to improve a voice bot and how to manage accents, speech accuracy and naturality using modern deep learning techniques. By investigating these components, this research advances assistive technology, empowering visually impaired individuals with a conversational digital assistant that enhances environmental interaction, supports social interactions, and aids in currency identification. © 2023 IEEE.

Web-blogging sites such as Twitter and Facebook are heavily influenced by emotions,sentiments,and data in the modern ***,a widely used microblogging site where individuals share their thoughts in the form of tweets,has become a major source for sentiment *** recent years,there has been a significant increase in demand for sentiment analysis to identify and classify opinions or expressions in text or *** or expressions of people about a particular topic,situation,person,or product can be identified from sentences and divided into three categories:positive for good,negative for bad,and neutral for mixed or confusing *** process of analyzing changes in sentiment and the combination of these categories is known as“sentiment analysis.”In this study,sentiment analysis was performed on a dataset of 90,000 tweets using both deep learning and machine learning *** deep learning-based model long-short-term memory(LSTM)performed better than machine learning *** short-term memory achieved 87%accuracy,and the support vector machine(SVM)classifier achieved slightly worse results than LSTM at 86%.The study also tested binary classes of positive and negative,where LSTM and SVM both achieved 90%accuracy.

Defects to agricultural food items like fruits and vegetables, results in decrease of quality and quantity of agricultural consuming items. This directly affects the financial source of agriculturists and the human health. So, exposing to this kind of defects in fruits and vegetables at early stages of developing products leads to minimization in loss of production and quality. The regular or most used day to day approach for defect detection is continuously watching and observation of crop either by farmers or further by some professionals. But, it is very time-consuming method. We have used image processing and classification techniques in machine learning to identify and detect the diseases on agricultural products like vegetables and fruits. The main goal of the system being proposed here is to monitor and detect diseases in fruits and vegetables in their early stages to farmers for a healthy yield. Our System can deliver the most accurate results in a very short time while consuming minimal computational resources. © 2023 IEEE.
