Free space optics (FSO) communication provides an attractive solution to bridge the gap between the existing fiber optics infrastructure and the end user. This paper investigates the system level design link of FSO by using different filters for the reduction of noise and timing error. The use of FSO links has been proposed as a solution to the connectivity bottleneck problem which has arisen from the ever increasing demand for high bandwidth in different network topology. Transmitter consist of NRZ modulating LED with a wavelength of 1550 nm and using positive intrinsic negative type photodiode as a receiver, the link range is 450 meters. The result shows the response of timing error, zero crossing distortion and SNR by using different filters.

Different techniques are evaluated, bit-banging look-up table (LUT) routines are advocated for certain purposes, programming algorithms are considered for efficiency, and methods of harmonic suppression are reflected upon. The main idea of this work is to detect, place and explode mines and target killing of objects using real time video processing at country's border. For this purpose a Robo Car is designed. The theme is implemented for the armed forces to make them more equipped and advanced. The heart of the system is a PIC micro-controller (PIC16F877). It controls the whole system and sends data to the Personal Computer (PC). The wireless video camera is also connected with the PC for real time video processing. The PC also controls the placement, detection and explosion of the mines through stepper and DC motors connected with the Robo Car. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is also used to find the exact location of the car.

Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) is an image processing technology which uses number (license) plate to identify the vehicle. The objective is to design an efficient automatic authorized vehicle identification system by using the vehicle number plate. The system is implemented on the entrance for security control of a highly restricted area like military zones or area around top government offices e.g. Parliament, Supreme Court etc. The developed system first detects the vehicle and then captures the vehicle image. Vehicle number plate region is extracted using the image segmentation in an image. Optical character recognition technique is used for the character recognition. The resulting data is then used to compare with the records on a database so as to come up with the specific information like the vehiclepsilas owner, place of registration, address, etc. The system is implemented and simulated in Matlab, and it performance is tested on real image. It is observed from the experiment that the developed system successfully detects and recognize the vehicle number plate on real images.

OCDMA combines the large bandwidth of the fiber medium with the flexibility of the CDMA technique to achieve high speed connectivity. This paper presents the simulation module for OCDMA transmission and reception and demonstrates key function of simulation environment through representing schemes for various systems parameters. The proposed network permits high no of users to communicate with high data rate then the conventional OCDMA system. Analysis and Simulation confirm that the system constructed via this method is of minimum distortion and BER and will outclass the conventional OCDMA system.

With the increasing demand of multimedia services over internet and local area networks, techniques to provide better data rate, low latency and low packet loss have also emerged. For this reason, IEEE has introduced a standard for local area networks known as IEEE 802.11e. In this paper, we provide a comparative analysis of basic and new standard in terms of medium access technique and management of multiple flows. NS2 is used as a simulation tool and different traffic types like CBR, VBR and FTP are used to completely analyze the performance differences between two standards. The enhanced standard is found better in protecting and providing less delay in medium access to high priority flows.

The main idea of this inspiration is to process analog voice signal. The theme is implemented for the parallelized persons by voice activated wheelchair through speech processing using digital signal processor (DSP). The Texas Instruments TMS320C6711 DSP starter kit (DSK) is connected with the wheelchair for processing of the voice signal. The DSK calculates the energy, zero crossing and standard deviation of the spoken word. It also generates different desired analog signals according to the spoken words which further amplified and converted into digital. These digital signals are used to operate the stepper motor. Five words are recognized which are forward, reverse, left, right and stop. The results at the end show the efficiency of the system.
